Title: Much Better Than Expected
Review: I have not yet watched all of the episodes from this Mill Creek collection but I can already tell, after eight of the thirty-five episode, that this is a far better Mill Creek collection than I expected. I already owned twelve of these episodes which are part of the "Ultimate Television Western" and I like the series so much that I was willing to buy the Best Of collection just to have 23 new (new to me) episodes of Cisco and Pancho, and I assumed the quality would be about the same as that of the episodes I already owned. I knew that the series was the first western television series to be filmed in color but many of the episodes from the "Ultimate Television Westerns" collection (also a Mill Creek product) were taken from source material that had faded badly over the decades and it was hard to tell if they had been filmed in color or in sepia; there was a strong suggestion of color but not strong enough to be called "in color." I'm happy to report that the color episodes I've seen so far are clearly in color and even the ones that duplicate the ones I already had are of a better quality, so it is like getting 35 new (to me) episodes. Other reviews had mentioned that there is some black and white episodes in the Best Of collection but either there aren't a very high percentage of black and white episodes or I have been very lucky in choosing color episodes at random; so far only one of eight has been a black and white episode. Once I got used to the idea that "The Best of the Cisco Kid" collection was better than what I already had, I did start finding small flaws here and there, a second of two color static probably caused by a tape roll, a second of blackness which had been the place to cut to a commercial, a break in the tape or film that had been fixed by an amputation there, and a small logo appears in each episode for thirty seconds or so. For viewers who find the logos an issue the flaws will seem much greater than they do to me; since I was initially prepared for much worse technical flaws I'm not very bothered by any of the minor problems I've noticed so far. If I didn't thoroughly enjoy the adventure of Cisco and Pancho I wouldn't have order this collection in the first place, but I may as well note that from what I've seen so far I'm going to get a lot of enjoyment from it.

Title: Ohhhh....Cisco! Ohhhh....Pancho!
Review: When you heard those lines, you knew the show was over. I watched this series when I was around 4 or 5 years old and didn't really recall any of the episodes from then. I do remember that I liked the show as it was always exciting and the good guys came out on top and the bad guys bit the dust. This 3-DVD set is priced around $7.50 and if nothing else is an outstanding value. This set is titled " The Best Of The Cisco Kid" and includes 35 episodes filmed in color (supposedly the first series to be filmed in color when there were only black and white televisions) which is somewhat faded at times but fully watchable. The plots of the series varied, of course, but basically Cisco and Pancho were always becoming involved to help the good and thwart the sinister doings of the bad guys. Even now, when I watch these shows they are interesting and have halfway believable story lines. Of course a lot of ammo is used and considerable fighting is necessary to defeat the evildoers and to exonerate the wrongfully accused or framed individuals. There is also comedy, mostly originating from Pancho due to the situations he becomes involved in. And if that isn't enough, you can watch Diablo (Cisco's horse) to see how many times his markings change in an episode. There must have been 5 or 6 Diablos used at different times, possibly to spell a tired mount after several takes of a scene. My recommendation is to spring for the meager price of this set, and after watching I believe you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Title: Still enjoyable 50+ years later.
Review: It's amazing how much I never noticed the way these stories were made when I was a kid. Not only can I see them in color now, but it's loads of fun seeing the same actors appearing in multiple episodes and wearing the same clothes but acting different rolls. Sometimes they even used the same names in the different episodes, but they become the bad guys in the next show after Pancho and Cisco helped them out of a jam in just one or two episodes earlier. And I've lost count of how many Tobiano Paint horses were used to play Cisco's horse "Diablo". I'm up to at least four, but there might be more. Sometimes it has a white face with a lot of white patches on the sides, then you see it with an almost completely black head and body with just a few white markings on the sides. In the episode "Vigilante Story", in the final scene where Cisco is riding after the bad guy, the horse is almost completely black while he is riding full out, then he gets up to where the bad guy has jumped off his horse and all of a sudden the horse has all the white markings again. These shows were probably produced low budget but they are great fun to watch and enjoy all over again and see Pancho and Cisco give the bad guys their comeuppance.

Title: I LOVE CISCO AND PANCHO
Review: I love Cisco and Pancho. Cisco's a real Cassanova. i love Pancho. they're so fun to watch."lets went!" I love it when he starts speaking Spanish real fast. like the time the lady dropped a wrench on his foot, or time he got his hand caught in a rat trap. Ghost Town is my favorite episode. Pancho gets excited when man ups and disappears, then he disappears. then Cisco gets excited. i love The Old Bum and Dog Story. Cisco's always to the rescue along with his sidekick Pancho. "oh, Cisco, oh, Pancho!" you gotta love em! I Love all thirty five episodes. it was such a great value too. when you want to kick back on a Sunday afternoon, watch these guys, or any time. they'll have you rolling with laughter. Buckeye.
