Title: Very Impressed With This Cooler - Cools Very Good at Such A Nice Price! And Great Customer Service!
Review: I got this unit to go along with a backup solar system I have for when there are summer storms around here. I've been lucky with the storms with the power being out only a couple times during the past three years, and for only two hours at the longest. But there have been people not too far away that were without power for four or five days. And four or five days in the desert heat can be hard, especially with no power or A/C. My A/C unit on my roof is great, but it draws 2000 or 3000 watts, and doesn't work when the power is out. The power company is great, gets right on it when the storms come, but it's very nice to have good backup power. This unit draws 80 Watts max and keeps the place cool if the power is out, using a battery pack and a couple small solar panels. This unit arrived with a damaged lid or top. But after cleaning up the pieces of the broken lid, I put water in it, turned it on and was very pleased with the results. I sent photos of the broken lid to the product support department, and asked them to send me a new lid. They were very nice about the whole damage thing and sent an entire new unit. I repaired the broken lid and now have two of these units. One of the reviews I read about this unit said, "it doesn't cool," which I also thought was the case until I noticed the magic button on the panel that says, "Cooling." The person with the bad review must not have seen that magic button.I'm in the desert were the temp at the moment is 106 degrees F, and sometimes gets as high as 110. My place is small, only 500 sq ft and well insulated. I've been running this unit for two hours and the inside temp is about 87, temp on the unit is reading 84, and that is with no ice packs being used. The 87 degree room temp is not much above the 85 degrees that I normally have set with the regular A/C, and I've noticed no problem with this unit keeping the temp at 85 & below. The regular A/C is only about a year old, very efficient, cost effective and all, but as I said, it doesn't work when the power goes out during a storm. This unit runs great on 80 watts from a battery and solar panels, whether or not the regular power is on.It does naturally bump up the humidity, about double in fact, but that's a small price to pay for such a nice backup system, if the power is out for a few hours or a few days, when I will be much more comfortable than if I were sitting in the dark with a flashlight, in a hot place, and waiting for the power company to do their thing. An easy solution for the high humidity is to open a window or door a little, which will drop the humidity a lot.To save some money I could run this unit all the time at practically no cost by using the solar panels as mentioned, but will probably use it mostly as a backup if the power goes out.As a tip to keep the unit running good, very clean water should always be used, which is the only drawback for me. The desert has a lot of water, but the water is very hard, lots of minerals, which is probably healthy to drink, but not so healthy to put in your swamp cooler, and unless you have a good water softener, you need to use anything but hard tap water. If your tap water is clean, then no problem. I use a water testing meter to check the ppm (Particles Per Million). My hard water here is about 400 ppm. Below 100 ppm should be okay. Clean bottled water will keep this units pump and system in good order, but the bottled water is costly and cumbersome. The hard desert water is too rough on many things. If I were to use this unit a lot I would invest in a good water softener. Or an even more economical solution, if you don't need softer water for your entire house, is an inexpensive faucet-mounted water filter, which you can get for $30.00

Title: Works perfectly.
Review: 10/7/24 updateTried to find info from the company for warranty, as one of my 2 units is leaking; for now we just keep a towel under it; but I'm not sure how much longer this will last (it's leaking about a large bath towel per day). Hopefully it keeps going, but I do not recommend this product anymore; because of the issues we are experiencing as well as the lack of contact information for warranty support.9/15/24 updateI've been using this product since early May, and one of the 2 units is now dripping water out of the front while it is operating. Tried to find support/contact info, but was unable to to. I've seen a few complaints about brown water, mine does it after a few refills; so I pull the red plug on the back and drain it every 3-4 weeks. I do it in the shower so I can use the shower wand to clean off the side filters and top as well.I bought this to replace my 8 year old swamp cooler that was starting to struggle. I didn't realize how much of an upgrade this would be over my old one.I bought the other from Home Depot (first portable cooler I've ever used) and thought it was great. After using this one, I'd give the old one a 2/5 for noise and a 4/5 for cooling. This cooler is both quiet and efficient, I'd give it 4/5 for noise (can't really make a fan quieter without sacrificing volume/air movement) and a 5/5 for cooling. This is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable swamp cooler!

Title: Customer service
Review: The air cooler works very well. All the systems are very intuitive and the buttons while very sensitive work very well. I had to contact the seller for a small issue. It was very easy to communicate through email with the company. It is very responsive and very easy to work with on the issue. I we’ll update this review in the coming months but features of note: the top fill compartment has a lot of space. If you live in an extremely hot area or you wish to cool down quickly, you could easily put six pounds of ice or more in the top fill. With just water the air cooler does a great job of bringing down the temperature over 10 degrees. It’s most effective at 95 and below. At over 100 degrees it’ll still cool the air but unless you have a lot of ice our a lot of gel packs it’ll still be warm. This is true of all swamp cooling systems. I know that if I run it with the house air conditioner the air conditioner works less. It is very portable. It can easily be moved about the house. If you intend to take it up stairs I’d say drain the tank first so it’ll be lighter. A full tank will add more than 30 pounds of weight. Indoors it has about a twenty foot range and with the oscillation vents on it does great in cooling down a 12x15ft area. It cleans the air through the water curtains. It has three water curtains. As the air is sucked through a lot of the particles are pulled down in the water. I have several portable swamp coolers. For the price this I think gives the most. It has a nice clean look and the top is flat so if you’d like you can place perhaps a drink on top. The touch buttons give a very modern look. It’s fairly quiet on sleep mode but even at full force it isn’t very loud as it can be on the opposite side of the room. I do that while watching my TV every night. It also has an inlet to attach a hose to constantly fill and run the cooler. An adapter will be needed but any major hardware store will carry it. From what I understand, there’s a float valve on the inlet to keep it from overfilling. I won’t be using it but I’m just letting you know it’s there. If you do intend to use the valve test it. From another review I read the valve needs adjusting. Again, not something I’ll be using. Overall, a very impressive portable swamp cooler, excellent customer service, and an incredible price for a portable with three water curtains.

Customers say

Customers like the ease of use and noise level of the air cooler. They mention it's easy to setup and move around the house if needed. Customers are also happy with the air flow and size. However, some customers have mixed opinions on whether it works well, its filtration, value for money, and design.
