Title: Great multi-function device at a fantastic price
Review: Was mostly interested in the optical drive, so was disappointed when first one I received would not spin up any discs I had around to test. Amazon was very quick to replace it, however, and the replacement works fine. I'll refrain from deducting a star for it, but fwiw. All the ports on this device worked just fine. Windows claims it to be built around a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8A2AS drive. The design for the included USB cable, I quite like -- on top of being able to plug in either USB-A or USB-C, the cord sits cleanly inside the plastic housing, as other reviews show in pictures. The split USB ports all work well. The SD & microSD card slots also worked just fine with the 32GB and 64GB units I had next to me to test. I don't like that manufacturers lately have been using SD card modules where the SD card does not click into the device housing; this device has the same problem. It leaves the fragile SD card hanging out of the housing and there's no "click" when you press the card in, so it's not clear when the card's fully inserted without checking your PC.Discs tested:Burned Memorex CD-R data, readBurned Sony DVD-R video, readCommercial pressed video DVD, readBlank Maxell CD-RW, format and write and read as Live File SystemTime to format (554MB) 4X-rated CD-RW in Windows 11 (default settings): 20 minutes. The drive alone retails for around $20 online where I've looked; would say the device definitely has added more than $10 in value over the optical drive alone. I'm willing to overlook the SD card issue due to the price (and it does include a microSD port which at least minimizes potential for accidental damage).

Title: Short & Loud
Review: If it is to require the back port on a PC, then it should come with a longer cord. It's too short to REACH the device to put disks in/out with a normal PC. This thing is loud takes forever to rip a disc to my computer. Lame.
