Title: You won’t be Disappointed!
Review: I needed a portable hard drive to store my large collection of photos, videos, and documents, and I decided to buy the Toshiba Canvio Advance 2TB. I was attracted by its sleek design, its affordable price, and its 3-year warranty. The setup was easy, and the drive was recognized by my Windows 10 laptop without any issues.The drive is very fast and reliable, and it works well with the Toshiba Storage Backup Software and the Toshiba Storage Security Software, which are both included for free. The backup software lets me schedule automatic backups of my files, and the security software lets me password-protect my drive to prevent unauthorized access.The drive is very slim and lightweight, and it fits easily in my backpack or pocket. The plastic casing feels sturdy and durable, and the drive is very quiet during operation. The only minor drawbacks are that the cable is a bit short, and the drive does not have any rubber feet to prevent sliding on smooth surfaces. However, these are not deal-breakers for me, and I am very happy with my purchase.I would recommend the Toshiba Canvio Advance to anyone who is looking for a simple and effective way to store and backup their files. Title: Works well and looks great - read for Apple/Windows compatibility
Review: I bought this for my sister. In terms of size and looks, this is a winner.In terms of speed, I've used it with USB 3.0 in my laptop and it was pretty fast.If you need a hard drive to carry work around or as a backup, this seems to fit the bill pretty well.My experience with hard drives is that you cannot tell in advance how well they will hold over time, so I have nothing to say with respect to reliability.Update: my sister needed to be able to transfer files between a Mac and a Windows PC. In order to do that, you will have to re-format the drive as it comes formatted with a format that is not writeable on a Mac. The format you need is ExFAT, and from what I have read, it needs to be done on a Windows PC or it will not be compatible on both sides. To format the drive, connect it to a windows PC and do the following:1) Open up Windows Explorer and right-click on your drive in the sidebar. Choose "Format".2) In the "File System" dropdown, choose exFAT instead of NTFS.3) Click Start and close this window when finished.Your drive should now be usable on Mac and PC without limitations!UPDATE: Some comments after reading other reviews. Hope this helps you...* NEVER use a single hard drive as a backup. They fail unpredictably! I've had hard drives that worked for years and others that broke quickly. The same manufacturer can have batches with different quality. If you are going to be using a hard drive like this to backup your files, I suggest getting more than one.* Don't use cheap backup software included with a hard drive. Use Time machine on MacOS or Windows file history on Windows. They work well and are free. If your needs are more complicated, then look at the first bullet and buy better backup software.* For photos and videos, besides backing them up on a hard drive, I upload them to Google Photos (free) and Amazon Prime photos (free with prime for photos only). These are very important for me, so I like having extra copies.* For music, you can backup your library using iTunes backup (if you have it on iTunes) for $25/year.* For other important documents, you should use a cloud drive for backup. Unless you do specialized work, the rest of your data should not be that big.

Title: Deployment effective
Review: Bought this to get through a deployment. it came in a well contained box and very secure. Was able easily convert hard drive to be used for apple and windows. Easily accessible and my computer made it easy to read and operate.

Title: Works fine for the PS4
Review: This drive works good for use with a PS4. I do power down the PS4 when not in use, as the drive is still powered up when the PS4 is in standby. Not the fault of the drive though. It is an economical choice for expanding the storage space. Most likely, SSD's will continue to drop in price making the spinning disks obsolete. But for now, its a great alternative.

Review: I wouldn't cheap out on a Hd, like I did already and yeah, lost all the data on it had to be re-formatted and still wasn't working right after. Like when you get a free usb drive and it's sus, Toshiba not that; they make solid products and HD are one of them.Pic 3 is in a portable case- sold separately. Comes with HD and data/power cable. Light-weight and so far, portable.

Review: Como otros comentarios, tengo la versión enfocada a juegos en mi consola xbox series s. Obviamente el precio por la cantidad de almacenamiento esta de maravilla, en lo que llevo de uso no he tenido ningún problema, funciona correctamente. Fácil de conectar, y a su vez mi consola reconoció el dispositivo externo sin ningún problema. Lo recomiendo como una alternativa confiable de almacenamiento.

Review: Fantástico acessório de expansão para o Xbox One S. Foi plugar no console e facilmente reconhecível. Transferi alguns jogos do console para este HD externo e testei. Iniciou mais rápido do que o HD interno original. Coloquei diretamente em cima do console, mas achei que esquentou um pouco. Coloquei um separador para melhorar o fluxo de ar. Não sei se tem desempenho melhor que o concorrente (Seagate), mas o preço estava mais acessível na ocasião da compra. Ainda não posso opinar sobre a robustez, pois tem pouco tempo de utilização. Em resumo: é rápido no acesso e totalmente compatível com o Xbox.
