Title: Closer To An Oil Than A "Lotion", Leaves Skin Feeling Super Soft, Supple And Moisturized
Review: This is the second product from the /skin regimen/ line that I've tried and this one is light years above the first one. The other one was their "Moisturizing Soothing Hydra Fluid". When that one came, the pump dispenser was busted and when I used it, it smelled like some kind of pumpkin spice stuff. After that experience I didn't have high hopes for this one but was very pleasantly surprised! The product listing for this product refers to it as a face "lotion". When I think of a lotion, I think of a hand lotion, that is usually a white substance and moderately thick and certainly not runny. This 3+ ounce bottle is more like an oil than a lotion both in color (basically clear) and texture or viscosity (it it runny and will run down your fingers when dispensed). It has a faint herbal scent that I could do without but it doesn't smell bad at all, certainly nothing like the pumpkin spice scent of the other product I tried. When dispensed, this does feel more like a facial oil and it will run on your fingers and drip off of them if you pump out very much. When using this, just pump out a little bit and quickly rub it on your face.To coat my face, it took about 5 small pumps. When applied it felt really oily at first. Over the course of an hour or so that oily feeling faded and left my face feeling soft supple and moisturized with a bit of a glow. The scent fades quickly and the softness and "glow" lasts for hours. During the summer heat, I'd usually apply this as night when headed into an air conditioned room for bed so as to prevent it from running down my face as I was sweating during the day. When applied at night, it would leave my face feeling wonderful the next morning. It lasts through the night. On cooler days when I'm not sweating it can be a good day use product too.Since it tends to be more like an oil than a lotion or a light cream, this is not an everyday product for me. While it does feel quite nice when applied, it is too heavy to use every day. My skin feels weighed down with daily use. While your preference may vary, for me, this a product that's good to use 2 or maybe 3x a week.Overall, it's a nice facial oil. The sent is neutral to pleasant and mild. It feels fairly oily when applied and is pretty thin. It leaves the skin feeling soft and supple with a nice look but it is too heavy for everyday use for me.

Title: Good product, but end effect very minimal
Review: I've been using this Skin Regimen product the last few months to see whether it makes sense for me to include a serum in my daily post-shave facial regimen. My verdict is yes, but I don't think anyone really needs such an expensive product. After having used post-shave creams for many years, and only just recently introducing toner as a first step, I actually didn't initially know how to use this product. It wasn't until I tried out a kit from OxygenCeuticals containing a toner, serum, and cream that I realized the serum needs to be applied as part of a three step process in-between applications of the toner and cream. And once I followed this process several times (instead of applying the serum for the first step), I saw the value of a serum. But quite honestly, even though it might lead to slightly more confidence in my appearance I tend to think that nobody else likely notices when I use a serum like Skin Regimen. Yes, it's good, and it's worth trying if the price doesn't involve sticker shock, but I think the end effect is very minimal. That said, I do like the shaving gel offered by the Skin Regimen label. I've been using the shaving gel the last few months, and I think it's a great product despite the high price, so I've included it in regular rotation alongside other shaving gels.

Title: Amazing essence, fabulous brand.
Review: /skin regimen/ is the unisex line of high quality skincare products created by [comfort zone], a brand I have recently come to love. This particular product is as wonderful as the others I've tried, but I'll admit that I was confused at first by the description. It's an essence AND a lotion?! I still find that odd, but since this stuff is a very light and watery clear substance that disappears into my skin pretty quickly, I regard it more as an essence. I use it after my toners and either in place of a serum or right before. It really isn't a lotion, in my opinion, but it feels amazing on my skin. It's plant-based, of course, and is very hydrating. Best of all, [comfort zone] is a Certified B Corp with a very clean, plant-based product line that is NEVER tested on animals! In fact, they are passionately opposed to animal testing of any kind, whether for ingredients or finished products, and they vow to never be involved with that sort of cruelty. As such, they aren't selling their products anywhere where such testing is required. I love that!Highly recommended. Five stars, and I can't wait to try everything else by this brand!I hope that sharing my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. Happy shopping!

Title: /skin regimen Rules!
Review: The best part of being a member of Vine is the ability to try products that one would not usually be able to afford. /skin regimen products are a bit too pricey for my beauty budget, but some of them are so good, I'm tempted to sacrifice on other things so I can buy more! This essence is no exception. This review is for: /skin regimen/Microalgae Essence Illuminating Face Lotion, 3.38 oz.In short, using this essence is easy-peasy. Add it to your routine, after cleansing and toning, and it works wonders. I'm not sure how to describe it, but my face looks brighter and more illuminated. It's not glowy, exactly, but more like...healthy. My skin looks HEALTHY!In the summer, I'm assaulting my face with all kinds of products to either look good or protect my face from the sun. Even though I'm using quality products, I think my facial skin gets a little tired through the hottest months of the year. This essence has calmed my face down and brightened it up. I'm pretty sure it's due to this serum as it was the only serum I used for three weeks straight.I'm incredibly happy with this product and I feel like I have to find a way to justify buying it in the future!
