"The Last Flight is thoroughly absorbing—not only because of its tantalizing plot and deft pacing, but also because of its unexpected poignancy and its satisfying, if bittersweet, resolution. The characters get under your skin."—The New York Times Book Review

Two women. Two flights. One last chance to disappear.

Claire Cook has a perfect life. Married to the scion of a political dynasty, with a Manhattan townhouse and a staff of ten, her surroundings are elegant, her days flawlessly choreographed, and her future auspicious. But behind closed doors, nothing is quite as it seems. That perfect husband has a temper that burns bright and he's not above using his staff to track Claire's every move.

What he doesn't know is that Claire has worked for months on a plan to vanish. A plan that takes her to the airport, poised to run from it all. But a chance meeting in the airport bar brings her together with a woman whose circumstances seem equally dire. Together they make a last-minute decision.

The two women switch tickets, with Claire taking Eva's flight to Oakland, and Eva traveling to Puerto Rico as Claire. They believe the swap will give each of them the head start they need to begin again somewhere far away. But when the flight to Puerto Rico crashes, Claire realizes it's no longer a head start but a new life. Cut off, out of options, with the news of her death about to explode in the media, Claire will assume Eva's identity, and along with it, the secrets Eva fought so hard to keep hidden.

For fans of Lisa Jewell and Liv Constantine, The Last Flight is the story of two women—both alone, both scared—and one agonizing decision that will change the trajectory of both of their lives.

Title: Easy read but a page turner!
Review: After reading the description I honestly was a little hesitant to read the book. I thought the description kinda summed up the whole book and there wouldn’t be any suspense or drama. Boy, was I wrong. Great book, with a surprising ending. I was so excited to see where each character ended up and how the story was going to end. It’s a fast read with less than 300 pages, so a great book to read at the beach or on snowy day.

Title: 4.5 Stars
Review: This thriller is the book I've been waiting for!!! It's exactly what I needed! It was completely absorbing, I literally stayed up all night because I HAD to find out what was about to happen. I gave it 4.5 Stars.SUMMARYIn short, two women, each for their own reasons, need to disappear. An unlikely meeting at an airport gives them both a shot at making a clean get away, complications follow.Claire, who married into a Kennedyish beloved famous political family, has a life that looks perfect from the outside. Married to the family's golden boy, living the lux life of a pampered philanthropist; it looks like the happily ever after of fairy tale princesses. But it is most definitely not as it seems. She has been working on a plan to leave her husband for months; stashing away cash, getting a new identity and plotting a perfect time to escape. When the day finally arrives, a last minute change of plan ruins everything, leaving her penniless and in danger. She finds herself at the airport trying to figure out a Plan B.Eva is waiting at the same airport. She also needs to disappear for her own reasons. She spots Claire and starts a conversation with her. Somehow they decide to switch tickets and board the plane as the other person. The book follows Eva in the months prior to their meeting and explains why she needed to leave. As for Claire, we know her reasons for disappearing early on, but it follows her as she makes her escape and tries to figure out how to assimilate into a new life. Of course it was never going to be as easy as trading seats on an airplane, the story that follows is fascinating and suspenseful.WHAT I LOVEDSo very much to love!!! The suspense was well played!! It kept me on the edge of my seat. I was holding my breath the whole time, just hoping Claire and Eva didn't get caught. I couldn't put the book down, I stayed up until 6 am trying to finish it.I loved the characters!!! Eva and Claire were both fascinating and brave women. Polar opposites in some ways, so similar in others. Even the secondary characters were compelling. I can imagine being friends with Kelly, Liz and Petra. I love all these strong women.A large part of the plot circles back to the #metoo movement, women being believed when they report abuse, making the content timely and relevant. The plot is unique and well executed. It's hard to find any plot holes and it was SO FUN to read. The twists were perfect!WHAT I DIDN'T LOVEI have no complaints but I don't think it's quite timeless enough to be a five star.OVERALLLoved it!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense filled thrillers with strong women as characters and a couple well placed twists.

Review: I loved the concept of this book, two women with different problems thinking that swapping lives would solve their problems. Because I had to read it a few pages at a time initially, keeping track of what was happening was a struggle but once I was into the storyline I could not stop reading,
