Title: Scary horror movie music that's an adrenalin rush
Review: Midnight Syndicate has been doing "soundtracks for movies that don't exist" for the last 11 years. With "The Rage" soundtrack, we have a soundtrack for a movie that DOES exist. Thus, this album is different from the typical Midnight Syndicate releases over the years, in that it is an actual soundtrack to an actual movie. The music of course conforms to what is seen on the screen. The music is intense with a lot of attitude. If you want to get your adrenalin flowing, listen to this album. It has an '80s horror flick sound to it. There are some tracks on this album that have the signature Midnight Syndicate sound to them, such as Dr. V's Theme, for example. While most of the tracks sound different from what Midnight Syndicate has done in the past on their soundtracks for imaginary horror films, the tracks definitely have horror movie attitude and creepiness to them, which is what it's all about. Top tracks in my opinion are Theme from "The Rage," Injecting The Formula, Don't Go In There, The Waterfall, Birds Of Prey, Meet Dr. V, Dr. V's Theme, Showdown In The Lab, Gor, Kiss The Monkey, and Final Confrontation With Dr. V.This is a good album to play on Halloween night or at a Halloween party or for the trick-or-treaters. It's great background music with an attitude. It will keep people scared all night. Do yourself a favor and buy this album. I highly recommend it. I also recommend buying all of Midnight Syndicate's albums, as all of them are winners and are sure to provide everything you're looking for to create your own haunted atmosphere. Midnight Syndicate is also about to release their own horror movie, The Dead Matter, in 2010. If you like horror movies that involve zombies and vampires, The Dead Matter will deliver. I'm really looking forward to it, as well as buying the score to the movie. If you are just discovering Midnight Syndicate's music and are considering purchasing their albums, 2010 is the perfect time to become a fan of the band, as 2010 is the year they release The Dead Matter and its score. Midnight Syndicate is the greatest Halloween band of all time, and they don't disappoint.

Title: Different sound with a similar feel...
Review: After creating soundtracks to movies that don't exist for the last 10+ years, we actually have a picture to go along with the music this time around.Since Midnight Syndicate has been able to create their own visions and storylines to set their music to up until this point, I awaited the release of The Rage soundtrack with a bit of cautious anticipation. This was a slightly different ball game and I didn't know what to expect from a soundtrack written for another person's story. To set the record straight, I never doubted that it would sound great. With more than several "unofficial" soundtracks under their belt, I knew these guys knew how to write horror music. I just wondered how much their style would change when composing for an actual motion picture... especially one that they had not created themselves. My "fears" were laid to rest as soon as I heard the "Theme from The Rage". I knew I was in familiar territory here. Then came "Injecting the Formula" which kicked it up more than a notch. This is an intense piece quite different from previous Midnight Syndicate offerings, but terrific nonetheless. Then there's "Dr. V's Theme" which sounds like it could have come right from any of their past albums. While the CD overall actually sounds like a movie score (rightfully so) and a bit different from their previous CDs, most of the music still has that "Midnight Syndicate" feel to it, and that's my favorite part of it. I'll proudly play it with the rest of MS CDs.

Title: another amazing piece of work from the midnight syndicate
Review: Mad doctors and gore! ...need I say more? in case you have been living under a rock, or you have not been following the reports of this movie... well the midnight syndicate has done the soundtrack for this movie, The Rage, which has been getting very good reviews from horror sites and critics. I was very glad to hear that the Midnight Syndicate was doing the soundtrack to the movie since I always feel that their music would make a really good soundtrack (in other reviews I have actually mentioned that I use their music as a soundtrack while reading or writing). These guys are very talented at what they do; I hope that if this is your first encounter with the Midnight Syndicate you will look into more of their work, you will not be disappointed.

Title: Something different
Review: The Rage by Midnight Syndicate is fifty - two minutes and twenty - four seconds long and was released in 2008. The music is done in the genres of gothic, stage, ambient and screen. All songs are written by Edward Douglas and it is all music and now words. The Rage CD is the soundtrack to the 2007 movie of the same name. This is Midnight Syndicate ninth album that they released. The music is some what eerie with a scary twist two it. At times it sounds suspenseful and frightening. Granted you will not be scared out of your socks. I found it to be great Halloween music. The Rage by Midnight Syndicate gets a B+.
