Title: Very good, almost perfect
Review: I have this for several fires now and will get right to the good and could be better.The good:*Looks great*built solid*nice cover*Definitely low smoke. It does smoke at startup and if you let it burn down and add several logs all at once. No one ever waves their hands anymore trying to get the smoke out of their eyes. It's just not there. My clothes and hair still have a little smoke smell when done, but I'm the one lighting the fire and adding wood.*Burns hot. We have been able to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with a good flame. No more waiting for the logs to burn down into coals and the flame to disappear. As long as you have some good coals under the fire, cooking is good with a flame. Actually need to keep it farther from the fire than you would think.The could be better:*Opening is not as big as my firewood. I had to cut all my logs in half. If they stick out of the top of the pit, you get smoke. I've not burnt the bag of wood that came with it. I prefer a long fire with logs.*Because the fire is down in the pit, the heat is not felt as easily when sitting nearby. The heat has to go up first. It's good for a summer fire, but when the temps were in the 50's we had to stand next to it to really feel the heat.*the recommend letting the fire just burn out naturally and the coal cool overnight. I.e. no water to put it out. If you do that, the fine powder is easy to clean up. If you put it out with water, it is a bit of a mess to clean up. And if you don't clean it up, the water will cause it to rust. So I recommend you let it die out naturally. There are very few sparks and pops with this fire.

Title: Sturdy and beautiful
Review: i was surprised at how heavy this fire pit is. And that’s a good thing. It is sturdy, seems made to last. The “smokeless” feature works as expected - not zero smoke, but at least much less than usual. The pellets burn very fast. We will be using real wood.

Title: Fantastic fire pit that’s worth the money
Review: Before buying this, my wife had bought us an inexpensive fire pit during Covid lockdown, just to see how we liked it and how often we’d use it. Like with all such cheap (and small) fire pits, it didn’t hold up well to the intense heat of our fires and also didn’t hold up to the elements.This Tiki fire pit is a complete 180 from that other one, which is what I’d hope for something costing about 10x the price. This is a very sturdy, well built smokeless fire pit that works as advertised. I never use their pellet bags, just hardwood I buy from local places, with fallen branches for kindling and pine needles for tinder. You have to be careful to keep all those pieces two feet long or less, since they stick out the top of the pit when longer than that. But the precut hardwood is exactly that length and works great. I put a fist-size pile of pine needles in the middle, lay twigs on top in classic pyramid style, and it lights instantly and gives a good base fire in just a couple minutes. Then lay on heavier / thicker pieces until it’s ready for the hardwood.Be aware this fire pit is HEAVY! You definitely want to have someone help you get it into place if you can’t easily lift and move 50 pounds. But that weight translates into solid durability. I’ve had mine for just over a year now, and with the provided cover to protect it through winter it has no rust and no signs of wear after several large hot fires that we’ll have burning for 2-3 hours at a time.And it really does burn the wood nearly smokelessly. As long as the wood is dry, I see either no smoke or hardly any. But I still get that wonderful wood fire smell. Damp wood will definitely smoke more. Especially if you let any of it get above the upper vent holes on the inside of the pit wall.With regular wood use, I do recommend buying the screen cover to protect from sparks that can still pop out during burning. If you just use the pellet bags there’s no need.

Title: Wow, this is awesome
Review: We have the Patio version. Wow, this couldn't be more perfect for a suburban deck. Very attractive aesthetic, and clever design. Burns nice and easy, no drama, just a great medium-sized fire. The engineering is legit in that it really doesn't throw off much smoke. Don't expect anything to be smoke-free obvi, but minimal smoke is a win. 7-starsNote: We also purchased a 48" round fire-pit mat for extra protection on our wood deck.

Title: Well it's smokeless not smoke free
Review: I've used this enough now to be able to write a useful review. If you are looking to use those fake logs like duraflames and expect to get good smokeless results this is not the firepit for you. Those logs put out the same amount of smoke as with a regular pit. If you want to use regular firewood you will have to first use the tiki wood pellets first to get the pit hot enough to create the vortex to burn off the smoke, just using kindling or firestarters won't get it hot enough. If you're just going to use the tiki pellets the firepit is fantastic, it generates a nice high and hot fire and virtually no smoke. I also love the ash tray drawer you just sweep the ashes thru the big holes in the middle of the grill and empty the drawer. The fire pit probably is a 2 star with artificial logs, 3 stars with just regular firewood, and 4 stars if you just use the tiki pellets or tiki pellets with regular firewood.

Title: great value
Review: we found this to be a great value compared to its nearest competitor. well made, easily assembled, and burned oak logs to fine ash which was easy to sweep into the ash pan the next day, pull out, and discard. I had read these smokeless fire pits tend to throw more of the heat upward and less out laterally, but this warmed us just fine several feet away. best of all, NO smoky clothes or hair after an evening by the fire.
