GOLD EAGLE EDITION – The new, dynamic KastKing Valiant Eagle Gold spinning reel is part of the KastKing series of Valiant Eagle spinning reels. This edition with sparkling gold trim salutes the Golden Eagle, one of the best-known birds of prey in the Northern Hemisphere. Like a Golden Eagle, the Valiant Eagle Gold edition reel is built for power and speed as a freshwater or saltwater spinning reel.
LIGHT, FAST, STRONG - KastKing Valiant Eagle fishing reels convey speed, power, relentless pursuit and fearless spirit in the hunt. The Valiant Eagle Gold Edition honors the epic bird by providing an amazing fast speed 6.2:1 gear ratio, raptor inspired lightweight yet strong body with an enhanced graphite frame and rotor, and the incredible power of an exceptional 22 LB multi-disc carbon fiber drag.
SOARING PERFORMANCE – The sealed carbon drag system provides 22 LB of fighting power and keeps your drag washers dry to avoid inconsistent drag operation. For consistent performance KastKing uses a total of 7+1 MaxiDur shielded stainless steel ball bearings for remarkably smooth cranking retrieves.
UNEQUALED TECHNOLOGY - KastKing’s world class engineering team is dedicated to providing you with affordable innovation. KastKing has utilized their amazing patent-pending E.P.S. (Expanded Pinion System) and S.S.R. (Sliding Stabilizer Rod) into a spinning fishing reel priced under $100. Stabilizing the pinion gear and main gear increases the gear strength and durability.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES – The KastKing Emerald Eagle fishing reel has a Patent Pending spool designed to increase casting distance and improve line control. Plus, its braid line-ready spool doesn’t need monofilament backing line before filling the reel with braided line to avoid slippage. The lightweight aluminum handle with EVA knob provides you with extra leverage and control. Fly like an eagle; a KastKing Valiant Eagle Gold spinning reel.

Title: Decent entry level reel
Review: For the price, this isn't a bad reel. My only issue is the wobble in the spool and spindle, you can tighten the drag to mitigate this but then the drag is too tight unless your catching 20lb monsters. It's smooth and catches fish as one would expect but the build quality is certainly lacking. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I've been pleasantly surprised by most of KastKings products so no bashing here. I didn't need this reel but for 35 bucks it was worth having a spare and seeing what a cheap KK reel could do compared to more expensive entry level reels was my main goal.

Title: Nice Looking & Smooth
Review: Nice smooth fishing reel! (1000) Drag pulls very smoothly and used for bay fishing bass. Light in weight, small, and looks durable. Outstanding quality reel for the price.

Title: Is this reel worth it? You decide if it aligns with what you want!
Review: Overall the reel seems of great quality for its price point! It is definitely a beautiful piece of work and this is probably the first thing you noticed (it looks even better in person). What you want to know though is what is it actually like in your hands? The reel is buttery smooth. The line spools almost evenly on the spool, no hour glass spooling. Durability appears to be pretty solid, but I canât say with confidence how it will hold up over time because I havenât had it long enough. How I see it is this. You are about to buy/have just bought a reel at a mediocre price point (under $100). With this in mind, do not come in with the expectation that this will be an endgame setup. Ultimately you will probably upgrade to a better reel as you become a better angler, but for now this will be a great stepping stool to understand what is available and determine what key attributes you may desire in later reels. Overall Iâm happy with the product and would recommend it to those who are seeking to buy a reel that will better handle their needs at an affordable price point.

Title: Very good reel
Review: I matched this up with my new Toadfish 7'2" medium ultra fast spinner rod. I must say that this rod and reel combo has become my favorite combo. I primarily use this rod and reel in the inter-coastal saltwater, but also have used it in fresh water. I have caught snook, mangrove snapper, red fish and others fish with this combo. Just last week I caught a 4 pound catfish with this combo. The reel has never gave me any problems. It retrieval rate is very nice. This is the fifth Kastking reel that I purchased although the other reels were surf fishing reels and much larger.

Title: Casts smooth, fast retrieve.
Review: Update: this thing casts so much farther than my other reels. I had actually forgotten I already left a review so I guess that's all I'll add lolLove how this reel has performed so far.Much easier to cast long distance than my penn pursuit, or my zebco rebel.Hast a very fast retrieve which it's a major selling point for me

Title: Durability and use ability
Review: I have several eagle 2000s. I'm fairly avid fishermen and bought two. I thought they were smooth reeling and casted well. However out of the half a dozen or so different brands of spinning reels I have these by far end up getting line wound on the shaft under the spool most often. Have to remove the spool unwind the line replace the spool. Again by far the most of any of my other reels. Also as in the picture after a season or less the finish on the handle just falls off. If it's just a visual problem I'm okay with it but whether that will degrade the strength of the handle I don't know. Also the rubber grip starts to decay after a season.
