Ugly won't quit. The Ugly Stik Elite series features 35% more graphite than Ugly Stik GX2 for a lighter weight rod, while maintaining the legendary toughness you've come to expect from Ugly Stik. Ugly Stik Elite rods feature premium cork handles, Ugly Tuff guides for durability and the Ugly Stik Clear Tip design. Fishing has gotten too pretty. Unscratched sparkle barges with nuclear-powered engines. Rods that act like skittish thoroughbreds instead of unshod workhorses. Fish pictures taken for ‘likes' instead of refrigerator doors. It's time to fish the way it's meant to be done, with tough, durable tackle built to provide ten whopper fish pics for every one of some dandy holding a fancy rod and a fingerling. It's time to fish ugly.
UGLY STIK 6’ ELITE SPINNING ROD: 35% more graphite than the Ugly Stik GX2, plus premium cork handles. From the makers of the #1 rod series in the world.
6-14LB LINE RATING, MEDIUM POWER, FAST ACTION: Built tough to stand up to what's next. Lure rating of 1/4-5/8 oz. Two piece fishing rod features Ugly Stik Clear Tip design for strength and sensitivity.
DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: Constructed from graphite and fiberglass for a lighter weight rod, while maintaining legendary toughness and strength. Ugly Stik Fishing Rods are covered by a 7 year warranty you won't find anywhere else.
7 DURABLE GUIDES: Ugly Tuff one-piece stainless steel guides provide excellent corrosion resistance and durability and eliminate insert pop-outs during rough treatment.
REEL SEAT: Exposed Blank reel seats with cushioned stainless steel hoods provide comfort for your hands and protection for your reel. Premium type-C Cork rod handle is lightweight and slip-resistant, so you can hold on when fishing gets tough.

Title: One of the best rods I’ve ever owned
Review: Very light weight but tough. Casts smoothly with little effort. Nice comfortable grip. Very well balanced. Perfect mid-size rod for regular lakeside or seaside fishing. Good action, ultra sensitive. This will be my ultimate go-to rod. It makes fishing feel easier than it should be, even when landing heavier fish. I’ll be purchasing another one in the near future.

Title: Love this rod!
Review: I do a lot of surf fishing and recently decided to get into inshore fishing, specifically bass. I purchased this rod on recommendation from a family member as a perfect beginner rod and so far I must agree. First thing I noticed when opening it up was how light this is, thought it would be brittle but it has a very nice flex to it.Took it out fishing at a local spot with a simple Texas rig and was surprised by how sensitive it is. I could feel when I was hitting a rock or weeds but most importantly I could feel the nibbles and bites. Sadly due to my over eagerness to snap the rod back I broke the line when I first got a bite.Overall after just a couple hours with this rod I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend this from a beginners point of view.

Title: Doesn't stay aligned after a few casts
Review: I have it paired with a KastKing Sharky III spincast reel (3500 size), which might be slightly too big for this pole because the line brushes against the first eyelet too much, but doesn't prohibit good casts. Using braided 30lb test on it. Using it mostly for top water and light spinner baits.Cons: the top half will twist after a few casts so you have to keep re-seating it.Pros: Perfect for top water, small spinners, and worms. Has a great feel to it. Very light weight and strong. Definitely hits above it's weight class.

Title: Very good rod, light and versatile
Review: Best light to medium rod I own, liked it so much I bought another one. Paired one with a Penn pursuit IV 3000 and pairing the other with a Penn battle III 3000.

Title: Excellent, excellent rod!
Review: This is actually one of the best rods I have right now. I have others, from Lamiglas, Okuma, and another Ugly Stik, but this one is best so far. So easy to cast, casts quite far for it’s length, and just such a pleasure to use! It casts the same distance, or even farther, than my 8’6 Ugly Stik salmon rod… But requires much less effort! No matter what other rods I have or bring on a trip, I always seem to end up using this rod for the rest of my fishing. Strong, VERY sensitive, and by far the best bang for your buck you’ll find anywhereUPDATE 30-MAR-2023Like any addicted fishermen, I have plenty of rods, maybe about 12, but this one stands the test of time and usefulness. I never go on a fishing trip without this rod. Perfect sensitivity, strength, and action. I use this with a 4000 size reel spooled with 20-40lb braid. What takes me a heave-ho to cast with my 10 ft rods, I cast the same distance with this with just a flick of the wrist. This rod is not to be underestimated!!!!
