About the Author: David L. Sloan IV is an author, publisher, artist, and producer based in Key West, Florida. David L. Sloan
Sloan launched his writing career in 1998. The following year, he founded Phantom Press, Inc. and authored dozens of books about Key West and the Florida Keys, including cookbooks, travel guides, and collections documenting Key West’s haunted history.
Sloan is known for his knowledge of island history, and irreverent sense of humor. His columns and articles have been featured locally in The Key West Weekly and Key West Citizen, and globally in National Geographic and other publications.
Sloan’s books have sold more than 500,000 copies. His popular titles include The New Key West Bucket List, The Florida Keys Bucket List, Quit Your Job & Move to Key West, The Key West Key Lime Pie Cookbook, and the true paranormal biography of Robert the Doll.

Title: Very Helpful in Planning our Trip
Review: I ordered this book a few months ago when my husband and I began planning our trip to the Keys. First, it was a fun and entertaining read. But more importantly, we ended up doing many of the adventures in the book. We just returned from the trip, our first visit to the Keys, and this book led us to many great spots and activities. There were many different options for all interests and budgets, and some great recommendations for food, drink and sunset spots. If you want to explore the keys, this is a great resource.

Title: Great for off the beaten path adventures!
Review: My husband & I loved this book! There were a couple things that arenât there/not open to the public but it was still so fun! I also really liked how it was broken into sections, it made it very easy to find each thing & mark it off! I also really like the variety of different things. Most of them could be quick stops or turned into longer adventures! Overall super fun book!

Title: Cute Book, Good For Ideas
Review: It's a quick, easy book to read - some of the ideas seem a little half thought-out just to get to 100, but there are other ideas that are really awesome! Most of them are nice to have as a "we're passing this place, let's make a quick stop," so I do really like it. Cute book!

Review: We got this book before our Keys trip and enjoyed finding many of the places mentioned. Not your typical tour guide but thatâs why we liked it!Many places/activities were not of our interest but quite a few were. For anyone who plans to do the Overseas Drive from Key Largo to Key West and wants some fun and quirky ideas of what to do.
