Title: I'm glad I bought the book!
Review: I have made that circle tour a couple times. The book is good, and I did learn about some places I was not aware of previously, and will definitely look for the next time I do the circle. I liked also that so much of the history of places was included. I was a little disappointed to see that some of my favorite places that I felt were a little bit unusual and noteworthy had not been included. Of course places covered in the book were places the authors had been to and knew about. No one could ever cover them all. I'm glad I bought the book.

Title: It was fine for food
Review: I ordered the wrong book. It was fine for food, but I wanted info about highlights of things to see and do. maps of cities, etc. To take a trip around the Lake Superior, is much more than just food. I really wasted my money.

Title: wildly pretentious
Review: First the positive: The photos are decent, and the people featured were great. But because the characters were so compelling, so it was even more disappointing that the book smacked of Nortonâs signature elitism. This is a book for food snobs, not food lovers. Itâs a bit sad that these stories werenât told by someone less pretentious. Beyond that, it left out some of the most noteworthy eateries around Lake Superior, which was a disappointment. The book is, of course, outdatedâmy friend who gifted it to me warned me that a lot of the restaurants were already out of business shortly after it was published. If you can find it used for $5 or so, it might be worth it, but I certainly wouldnât pay full price.
