Title: Looked small, butâ¦
Review: At first without taking them out of the package, the shin guards were about an inch longer than my daughterâs original shin guard that sheâs been using since 6 yrs old. It looked small, so I was ready to order the next size up. I was reading in other reviews that the s/m fits 10-11 year olds perfectly, so I gave them a whirl and as you can see in the pictures in the side by side comparison is that the newer shin guard comes up higher on her shin because the ankle guard is longer, making the shin guard sit higher and covers more area. The ankle guard is well padded and the shin guard has a stiff backing that is covered by cloth. My daughter is larger than others on her soccer team, so this S/M fits her at 5â tall at 124 lbs. I returned a couple of other shin guards, because they were no bigger than her original ones when she started at 6 years old. Hope this review helps someone else because I was clueless.

Review: My son prefers hard plastic protecting his shins. This material is foam-squishy. Ankle support seems solid. So if you want hard plastic this is not the product for that.
