Why another book on investing? Because you think it's a lot harder than it actually is. Because investing scares you, and it shouldn't. Because you should be investing and you aren't. Because you're investing incorrectly and it's costing you a lot of money. Because the average savings of a 50-year old is $43,000.
This book is for you if you want to invest correctly (and enough!), but have zero interest in the complex stuff. This book is also for you if you're ready to take action.
Once you've finished reading this book, you'll know more than most when it comes to investing. Most importantly, you'll know exactly what you need to do to invest successfully.

Title: Sound Advice, easy to follow, âDo Thisâ
Review: If you are looking for an excellent, simple to read book on how to invest, this book is for you. YOU DONâT NEED A LOT OF MONEY TO START. And if you are under 30, even better! If you are well over 30 like I was before I got serious, there is plenty of time to make an impact. If this is your first attempt at trying to join the world of investing, it may take a couple reads of each chapter to digest the info (but the chapters are tiny and the topics are digestible). Jesse does a good job at defining the terms of investing, but new terms are like a new language. They take a bit of getting used to. So let a chapter bake for a couple days and read it again if necessary. In reality, Jesse could have written a 5 page book that just said âdo thisâ and heâd be right. However, most people wont âdo thisâ unless they get at least a basic explanation of why. Otherwise, they donât trust the advice. This book balances this reality with explaining how it works (without trying to make you a guru) and why the âdo thisâ advice is sound.

Title: Short Sweetb& To The Point
Review: I love YNAB. Been using the software for 3 years now. Best budgeting software on this planet. Iâve listened to Jesse podcast Iâve read his book so was intrigued to find out he also had an investment bookâ¦of course I had to read it. This book was easy to read. Easy action steps. Itâs not the best investment book Iâve ever read but if youâre very new to investing you canât go wrong by reading this book.

Title: The best way to start investing
Review: I read this in one sitting this morning. It may be 9 years old (worn in 2012, today is 2021) but its explanations and advice are clear, concise, and unquestionable. From the founder of what I consider the best way too learn money management (YNAB), this is hardly surprising. Itâs a buck folks. Read it!

Title: Very beginner info but just what I needed
Review: The biggest takeaway for me was the analogy that 401ks and IRAs are like "vehicles" for your investments, not actual investments. Simple info. If that sounds ridiculously obvious-then this book is too beginner for you.I am probably the perfect person for this type of book. Zero knowledge and basically uncomfortable with money/numbers in general. This book is simple, straight forward with a casual approach. I like how it is broken into days so I didn't feel guilty reading only a few pages a a time and it kept me from overwhelming myself. Obviously a lot of details are left out and when I actually went to look at my current 401k info, it used none of the same verbiage that was used in the book. Little frustrating but this is just a very beginner starting point and between the simplified book info and google I was able to make sense of things better.

Title: Good introductory book.
Review: It's an okay book to introduce someone into the subject of investing. If you didn't know anything, this book is a good starter. However, as far as "investing like a pro," I beg to differ on that. This book doesn't go beyond the basics.

Title: I'm ready to START!
Review: Breaks down all the terms you need to know (and only what you really need to know) to untangle what was once a scary world. I had done a lot of research on my own prior to reading this book, but this helped fill in my knowledge gaps and made me feel confident enough to start!Author is founder of budgeting app YNAB- if you're familiar with their writing and guides, you'll know how easy and stress-free this book was to read.

Title: First investment book I've ever read
Review: It's sad that out of the over a thousand books I've read over all my adult years, I'm just getting around to reading book about investing. This book, I read in about two hours including annotating, is a good introduction to the subject as far as I can tell. There's some confusing details in parts, but just keep reading and take some notes.I plan to follow-up on Jesse's recommendations to get started investing. I've used his zero budgeting system for over two years now, and it has helped me discipline my spending and savings for true expenses to get to the point I can start investing. I could have done this a long time ago if I had only read this or a book like it.

Review: Two books have really helped me to understand the world of investment and retirement better: "Build Wealth Now" and this book. I really enjoyed the part where he refers to money as your "employees" that are constantly working for you. I also though that his emphasis on diversification and understanding asset allocation to be very useful. And the price is obviously right, too!
