Title: Simple and Creatively Practical Get-It-Done Guide for New Authors Who Are Paralyzed by Information Overload
Review: Just read THE AUTHOR STARTUP by Ray Brehm in under an hour. And it’s free on Amazon right now. The book is a great “just do it” action plan for first-time authors who get lost in the details of publishing. This book is about building momentum and courage the first time out the gate as an author. Only teaching how to quickly publish to Amazon.com, The Author Startup is not the full gamut on book publishing or becoming a bestseller. This is the get-it-done-quick-AND-well guide to publishing that first book just to say, “Yes! I did it!” Brehm’s book also includes a very simple action plan for his whole process.Coming from a traditional publishing background, I do see how new authors can get information overload and how some eventually quit their pursuit of becoming an author. There are A LOT of details, processes, and strategies to how we publish books in the industry. This book gets first-time authors right to what they need to know to just hit the PUBLISH button and call it done. The book includes really unique approaches on how to:* Outline using mind mapping* Write by dictating your book’s content* Edit while you record the audiobook* Use specific programs/software for dictation, transcription, editing, and epub conversion* Hire an editor and cover designer* Title your book right* Get reviews* And more! This author had great ideas for writing that I had never thought of before. A very easy-to-understand book.

Title: Here's the action plan to write - and finish - your first short book. Or your next book!
Review: If you're feeling overwhelmed with everything you 'have' to do to write and self-publish your book, what you need is a simple, clear, focused plan to get from wherever you are now to the finish line. That's exactly what Ray Brehm gives you in this short, very practical how-to. You can easily read it in one sitting, with no need to take notes because Ray also gives you a chapter-by-chapter summary at the end of the book. Great feature because you can go back anytime, use the Go To feature in your e-reader to get to the summary, and in just moments know exactly what you need to be doing next. There is so much writing advice out there...lots of it conflicting. Ray cuts through all this clutter to the essence of what to do to become a published e-book author. He gives you short, feisty chapters on:- Getting the right attitude for success- writing your book- editing the draft- how to polish that draft- get ready to hit 'publish'- and then, how to make sure lots of readers find your bookIf you're one of those people who's been putting off writing your first book - or your next book - spend just 70 minutes with this book (you might even read it faster than that) and you'll feel energized and ready to get your book written!

Title: This book takes the load off selfpublishing.
Review: This book is a “must have” when you want to become an author. I am sure it delivers some great tips for published authors too. It is an easy read and helps you to ease the process of writing your book. The author has the refreshing approach to help you focus on the writing process first and skipping diversions. He helps you see that your goal is getting published and not focusing to much on creating websites and author pages, etc. He breaks the writing process down to easy to follow steps. You get help outlining your book and every chapter, by mindmapping it first. The author also provides you with to the point information about finding a title, the editing process (how and when), how to publish it on Kindle and eventually getting reviews. There are helpful links to some handy programs you might need too.I really enjoyed reading it.You get the feeling that publishing your book is doable.

Title: Nice, simple idea
Review: The overall idea behind this book was good. But the execution was flawed, and at times it seemed like an advertising tool for grammarly and other tools. Some things were lacking depth and/or outdated, too.

Title: Great System for Publishing a Kindle Book Quickly
Review: This book outlines pretty much exactly what I needed: a short, streamlined version of how to publish on Amazon. I too have read countless books on publishing only to never get anything off the ground. There are so many steps and so much to do with other methods that overwhelm kicks in and I never get very far. I'm very excited about following Mr. Brehm's advice. He also offers some free resources, such as free access to his Bestseller 101 course as well as access to his launch team.I had originally deducted two stars because there was some difficulty obtaining access to the free downloads offered in the book. But as expected, Mr. Brehm's team followed up (as you can see in the comment) and fixed the issue. I highly recommend giving Mr. Brehm's system a try. I am finding I am up against a wall and absolutely must publish my books soon. So I like how he advises just getting it done and uploaded onto Amazon and then fix other details afterward. This should help those of us who suffer from "paralysis by analysis," that perfectionism that keeps us from ever getting anything done!

Title: Hands you Hindsight and Removes Analysis Paralysis in the publishing process
Review: I happened upon Ray's book this morning and read it all in one sitting. I recently published my first book and Ray is accurate in his portrayal of all the pitfalls I got caught up in in the publishing and launching phase. All the things I stressed about if I had done them "right"....This was a refreshing, simplified, powerful action oriented blueprint that will stop any analysis paralysis in authoring a book. I look forward to writing and launching my next book 'radically' as Ray suggests, using his awesome, accessible and detailed action plan. I can see with hindsight now how peaceful the publishing process can be with the right mindset and tools at my disposal. I ended the book with four items highlighted as "must dos" for me this week for the book I just published. Thank you Ray, for the inspiration on both my published book and my future book project! Ray speaks the truth and helps you see that truth before you are at the end, "You will not know how to publish your book until you publish your book."

Recomendo!

Review: I could relate to what Mr Brehm said in this book 'I am a course collector.' It's like saying I'm an alcoholic, amd almost as addictive. So if you can relate to this, buying courses and never publishing because you're not 'ready', then this book will get you published. This no-fluff book includes an action plan that you'll need to just write your book and submit it for publication. If you're suffering from information overload, this will clarify everything for you. This book gives you the important steps for getting your book written and out there. Anything else is superfluous and can be done afterwards. The book comprise 4 main areas; mindset, writing and publishing. Mindset speaks for itself, It's essential for anything we want to do. The writing section asks 6 important questions that will help you map out your book, as well as the fastest way to write it. The editing section explains how to self edit before sending your book to an editor for a professional edit. The publishing section walks you through the entire process of getting your book onto Kindle. This is where so many authors grind to a halt, or pay to have their book published. It's not that hard to do it yourself when you know how.All in all, if you're an author who's confused about where to start, I recommend you read this.
