Title: Amended review after two uses
Review: Regrettably, after two hand washing I noticed that because the glass is almost sealed into the metal bands holding the handles in place, the bottom of the carafe has cracked along the base. I was afraid of breakage or damage if placed in a dishwasher so avoided that. While I don't mind hand washing, the way this is made, I fear that this construction will not warrant re-ordering. Could not return due to two time usage.
