Title: More than just turkey recipes
Review: Bought this for my mom while we were in Whole Foods and she was standing there reading it (it was $18.95 at Whole Foods, by the way). This book has recipes for multiple ways of cooking turkey: smoked, cajun rubbed, or even beer marinated! It also has recipes for brines to use as 24 hour + marinades as well as side dishes such as roasted root vegetables, sauteed mushrooms, fried okra and more! There are also casseroles and desserts from bread puddings to pies. There is even a recipe for ratatouille that uses eggplant, which I'm interested to try out.

Title: So many different turkey recipes and side dishes
Review: Fun turkeytarian or Thanksgiving book. There are lots of ideas in here, both classic and new takes on the favorites. There are nine different turkey recipes/preparations, but those can be changed endlessly with twenty different brines and eight different rubs. Then it goes onto the gravy and cranberry sauce chapter, followed by stuffings, salads and sides, casseroles potatoes and breads, desserts, and what to do with those leftovers. My thoughts and pics on the dishes we tried:1) My random day of the week mini Thanksgiving dinner.2-5) Spatchcocked Turkey â p 17. Delicious turkey. I got it spatchcocked and into its rub two days before cooking it, so that it could really season the turkey. With this method, it only took an hour and ten minutes in the oven.6) Bacon, Pear, and Rosemary Stuffing â p 96. This is wonderful. All of the bacon fat that you render crisping it up is used to cook the vegetables, so this is really rich stuffing.7) Orange and Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce â p 91. Yum. The flavors work really well together. It tastes like orange candied jalapeno cranberries.8) Garlic and Rosemary Rolls â p 189. Nice rolls. They definitely want butter at the table.9) Loaded Potato Casserole â p 159. This was crazy delicious. He has you just toss the cooked potatoes and bacon with cold mayo, sour cream, cheese, and chives and end it there. My teamâs into melty oozy cheese so I popped it back into the oven for another 10 minutes.Iâll update this as I play in the book more. Some others I have flagged to try: Smoked Turkey â p 18 * Spatchcocked Grilled Turkey â p 24 * Traditional Stuffing â p 95 * Roasted Root Vegetables â p 130 * Sweet Potato Casserole â p 165 **I received a copy to explore and share my thoughts.

Title: The perfect Turkey book
Review: Just received my copy. Itâs a lovely looking book and the recipes look very interesting. However, it is a little challenging for my 69 year old eyes to read the recipes. Itâs going to be a major challenge to use it while preparing Christmas dinner. Iâll probably have to write them out. Which doesnât thrill me

Title: Fine recipes from a Chef who knows how to cook and educate...
Review: Keith Sarasin is known in NH for his popup restaurant The Farmers Dinner. My wife and I have been to over 6 of his dinners and have never been disappointed. His philosophy is support your local farmers, bring people, farmers and chefs together to educate, inspire and enjoy really good food. and never repeat a course at any of his dinners. Too many of us never think about where those ingredients come from. At his dinners, we have met a number of those farmers that grew the vegetables, made those cheeses and have raised those animals that land on our plates. Just in case anyone wonders, NO I don't work for the man, I just enjoy his food...

Review: Really love the recipes. I think the author did a great job putting together a book that the average home cook would be able to follow and also be excited to cook. I found the layout clean and instruction easy to follow. Great book, can't wait to make more of the delicious recipes.
