How did we get our start?

Based out of a 100 year old rubber factory in the heart of Akron, Ohio, USA, TinyCircuits launched the TinyDuino platform on Kickstarter in 2012, which allowed people all ages and skill levels engage with electronics.

What makes our products unique?

All of our products are miniature working electronics, are incredibly fun and engaging.

If you're buying this product, chances are it's because you want something miniature, novel, and functional. The thumby does exactly that....and very well!2. Appeal: personally i am a huge fan of miniature things, and tech. The inner nerd went crazy when Thumby introduced a miniature piece of tech.... and you can program your own games and imagery, also?! Love that.3. Quality: the little device may be a challenge to control and use due to its size, but there is no lack of quality in the feeling or function. The keys are satisfyingly clicky, the material feels nice, the special black-grey display adds a subtle hint of depth to the retro games, and the tiny sound feedback that it produces gives you just enough to emulate a nice, retro, portable game console.4. Downsides: first and foremost the packaging is cute and minimal, much like you would find on any novelty item. There is basic information such as what games come pre-loaded on the device and where you can go to download more games or program your thumby. The biggest miss here is that there are no instructions or user manual. I had to google the information for charging the device, and read through the website's FAQ section. (Maybe include a QR code or link to an online user manual?)Another problem, which hopefully is just device specific; mine wont charge... whatsoever. Only way I can use it is if it's plugged in to a power source. Started an exchange for mine, lets see how the replacement does! (-2 stars for this alone)Overall: i absolutely love the concept of this little device, its so small it takes up less space than a flash drive, and i loooove that you can program your own functions or even select from other pre-made games and functions that other users have created.

Title: Way cool retro gaming
Review: I didn’t think to would be as addictive as it is, I only wish it had a battery meter to know I’ve run it down completely. It’s a challenge to use with big thumbs, but still fun! I think screen brightness has to be set to minimum to get 2 hrs on battery, I probably only got an hour at high. It does work while plugged in.I did have one of the buttons pop out, and I had to MacGyver it to stay in, so not sure how durable a “keychain” it is. I keep it snapped to my AirPods case instead.

Title: Yes it runs Doom
Review: The size of the Thumby is very impressive with an oled screen, ok speakers, and good battery life. The size is a blessing and a curse, the fact it’s thumb sized makes it incredibly portable however it does feel a tiny bit fragile. for those with bigger hands you might have to use your fingernails. Plugging the Thumby into a computer via micro usb (which isn’t included) lets you download a good amount of simple games like Flappy Bird, Doom, Tetris etc. and you are also able to make your own stuff on the device. For $30 you get what you pay for.

Review: This is indeed a fun little keychain toy. It’s tiny but a fun toy while sitting around needing something to take up some time. If you enjoy unique electronic games then get it. Will not disappoint.

Review: なんかちいさくてすごい…良いおもちゃ。本機のボタン操作は想像よりは快適。慣れれば爪を使わずとも上手く扱える…かも。ボタンのクリック感が堪らない。画像もとてもキレイ。反応も良し。Bad Apple!!のアレを再現したアプリ(容量がほぼ埋まる…！)もあるがヌルヌル動く。ゲームはパズル、STG、RPG、ゴルフ、ギャンブル、ファイブナイツアットフレディーズなどなど。やはり制限は大きいようだが、作者様方の工夫が見受けられてどれも素晴らしい出来。現時点で115個ほどのゲームアプリがダウンロードでき、敷居高そうだが自分でも作れるよう。容量は1.4Mしかなく、音楽付きのアプリを入れるとすぐに埋まるが、音楽ファイルのみを簡単に削除して容量を節約するなんてことも。(ものによるかも？)今のところの欠点としては、ケーブルの所為かもしれないが、PCでの操作中に反応しなくなることがある。あとアプリによるが、ゲームを選び直すには一旦電源を切る必要があるので少し手間。
