Title: Good value
Review: Install is easy. Solid cast metal construction with smooth bearings for easy cranking. I’m using it with a 100 ft hose and it feels very solid and works great. Has a nice top shelf but I would have preferred they made the shelf a little larger.

Title: Strong Unit
Review: I had a similar version of this that sat on the ground that was made of plastic. After about a year it cracked and didn't work properly. Honestly I have gotten really annoyed with all of these cheap yard equipment items that just break after a year. This one was nice and sturdy made out of aluminum and has held up great. I use it with one of those fabric hoses and I think I have like 120 ft on it. My only suggestion is if you use these things really just go for the fabric hose as with those vinyl hoses their rigidity make it a little less usable and you can't fit nearly as much hose on it.It also rolls and unrolls really easily which is nice. The plastic one I had before took a bunch of effort to undo and you had to pull the hose directly perpendicular to it to get it to dispense. Not a problem with this unit. Just make sure you properly mount it to your wall with the appropriate anchors.

Review: We love the look. Add a little class to the patio. Very sturdy and solid. Useful tray on top. We mounted ours to wood so we could pull the hose and not have it up against the house. It has been excellent and served us well & we would not hesitate to purchase this again

Title: Great Quality, Great Customer Service
Review: I've bought 6 of these over the last 5 years for two different houses. They are nice looking and sturdy, and they make rolling up hoses much easier. Leaves a neat appearance if you do it right (see below).Tips: 1) To take pressure off the reel, don't try to roll up a long hose that's all twisted and/or strung across the yard. I drag the hose over in front of the reel area in a few sections arranged like a switchback road up a mountain (no loops crossing each other, if you can picture that). 2) Drain water from the hose before reeling it in to reduce the pressure and weight. Makes it much easier. 3) Use your non-crank hand to guide the hose onto the reel to make a nice tight wind. This is a must especially if you're using a really long hose or it won't all fit.I gave 5 stars in spite of having to return one because of a leak inside the drum. They replaced it no problem. This is the best hose reel I've used. All the retractable and automatic reel ones have not lasted and been wasted money. Get this one instead and follow the tips above for a good, long-lasting, attractive reel. Heh, I sound like I work for their marketing department, but I assure you I don't.

Title: Great unit, but get the one with the hose guide!
Review: I bought this for the back of the house...liked it so much, I bought another for the front of the house, but this time I spent a little extra and got the model that has the hose guide. Now I wish I had done that for the one in back. The hose guide is a MUST...without it, you have to manually guide the hose back and forth...and if the hose is wet or has any dirt on it, your hand will be filthy when the hose is reeled in.Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 and get the model with the automatic guide, which is awesome! It's chain driven and moves back and forth automatically...all you do is turn the crank and it does the rest. I left a review on that one as well...it's worth every penny...I should have been using these instead of the garbage plastic ones that never make it more than 1-3 years (and I treated them very gently, never tugged a hose if stuck while unwinding, never stored with water in the hose (due to weight) - yet every plastic one has eventually broke/leaked.)

Review: I purchased this item over a year ago and it has worked flawlessly. The hose winds and unwinds easily without any problems or leaks. It is sturdy, well built and looks great! I expect it to last many years. A huge improvement over plastic hose reels I have used in the past.

Review: I just installed two of these. They appear very sturdy with good brass fittings. I’ve had the plastic ones in the past and they develop leaks pretty quickly. Some comments said the handles are loose. That’s true but only on the rubber grip. The attachment to the reel is tight. The loose fit could be fixed with a washer if it bothers you (not me). Doesn’t come with mounting bolts (as noted by others). But mounting is specific to the wall construction. Mine is brick. Wood screws won’t work. Buy what works for you and don’t pay for screws that get thrown in a junk drawer.

Review: Design was decorative & pleasing. Appears sturdy, bled over 100’ hose , handle functioned quite easily & quickly.I had previously bought this brand & it has held up well over the last 5 years. However the older model had an additional advantage in that it was able to wind the hose evenly back & forth across the reel. I think that was a good feature & am not sure why they discontinued that feature.

Review: Toller Schlauchhalter, Blickfang im Garten! Wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet und ließ sich leicht an der Wand befestigen. Leider, leider undicht an der Verbindung zum Gartenschlauch. Mit Gewindedichtfaden geht es. Preis ist natürlich völlig überzogen 🙂 Leider habe ich keine günstigere ansehnliche Alternative gefunden, die nicht neontürkis/grün/orange ist.

Review: The hose reel looks nice, is high quality and was easy to install. It didn't have any leaks, which is something I was concerned about after reading some of the reviews where people did have leaks.It didn't come with any mounting hardware (you need to provide that yourself). Fortunately, I still had the mounting hardware from my previous (broken) hose reel, so I just re-used that. I installed it on May 15, 2021, and if I run into issues in the future I'll be sure to update this review.

Review: The install video was very clear, and the product is attractive and well made. You will need to supply concrete anchors to mount it to your wall. The only minor issue is that the hose connector on the reel causes a slight kink in the hose, and it projects out from the reel so that when winding, the hose doesn't spool perfectly evenly. This doesn't affect the functionality at all.
