Title: Good For RV or Travel Trailer Navigation
Review: I bought the Garmin RV 795 because I have a 24' travel trailer and Google Maps is notorious for misrouting travelers into tight spaces. On a few trips it routed me incorrectly into places that were difficult to get out of in my pickup truck alone and would have been a nightmare with a travel trailer. So far, the RV 795 has only directed me on roads where a trailer can safely be towed. You need a lot of information about your trailer and tow vehicle to set this up but the information is readily available online. You'll need to know the width, height, and weight of your trailer, the weight and length of your tow vehicle, and the total length of the trailer and tow vehicle. You can create profiles for multiple vehicles & combinations so it's easy to switch from towing a trailer to tow vehicle only. The user interface takes a little getting used to but it's not terribly difficult. By default you cannot enter or change destination or settings while moving. That is good for the driver (eyes on the road, please!) but you can disable that so the passenger can make updates while the vehicle is in motion.I used the enclosed suction cup to mount the RV 795 on my windshield just below the rearview mirror. I haven't had a problem with the device attached to the mount but I remove and hide it when parked and twice the mount fell off of the windshield. Only seems to happen when the RV 795 is not on the mount. The Garmin makes it easy to find gas stations. It lists (most of) them in order of distance. The one thing to watch for is that the Garmin cannot tell you if a particular station has the space needed when towing a longer trailer. Best to follow the old rule of thumb when towing: start looking for a gas station when you get to half a tank. That will give you some slack if getting to, into, or out of the nearest gas station would be too difficult. It also has a long list of Campgrounds, State Parks, and RV parks. Updating the info is easy although it can be a bit cumbersome. It updates over wifi. If you have a hotspot on your phone you can use that but it might take quite a while. It works well with home wifi IF you have a way to power the RV 795. I used a ham radio power supply with a cigarette lighter plug like the one that powers the RV 795 while traveling. It would be nice if Garmin sold a power supply specifically for use at home with their GPS systems. The RV 795 give you a lot of information while you are traveling. In addition to directions, it will track your speed vs. the posted limit. Good for people with a lead foot! It also warns about upcoming sharp bends in the road. In my experience it was overly cautious about "sharp bend" warnings but I prefer that to being surprised. There are many other features such as satellite imagery that I've just begun to experiment with.Overall, this is a very useful aid for traveling in a recreational vehicle, especially if you are towing.

Title: Great GPS for RV with big visible display.
Review: Recently retired and moved into a 38ft class a motorhome. I have driven numerous types of vehicles, but never anything quite this big. Still learning and getting accustomed to the size and length. I went with this 10 in model so it's easy to see and I don't have to be distracted trying to read a smaller screen. I LOVE it. Screen is big and very visible, split screen shows things up ahead like rest stops, towns, gas stations, but main screen is still large and readable. I wish it had the dash cam feature like the smaller 795 model but I bought it for the screen size and was aware of this limitation. If your looking for a GPS for your RV and want something that's easy to read buy this one.

Title: Good unit overall
Review: Got this for traveling with our 5th wheel. I like that it can have multiple vehicles so for the RV it will take us down routes that are camper safe then I can pick just a vehicle for every day travel. Fairly easy to set up.The only thing I find is once turned on it takes a while to acquire satellite, longer than other devices like my cell phone or trucks GPS. I have to turn the unit on, leave it for 10 minutes then start traveling, once acquired it does well.

Title: Works well, especially with tablet cover
Review: Some folks complain about the Garmin map which led them astray with directions. One needs to remember that this is a tool, part of the RV driver's tool kit, and common sense prevails when following directions (especially applies to Google maps with driving an RV). I have several Garmin products and have faith in the product and the information it provides. The 895 is easy to see on the dash, I have installed a matt protection cover (like on tablets) so there are no reflections. I like the feature of easily taking it off the dash to make changes and adjustments. I like the trailer/no trailer feature as well as all the various sources of traveler information. Worked very well when driving in Europe.

Title: Lifesaver
Review: I didn't actually use the one I purchased from Amazon, that arrived late so I had to buy it locally so we can leave for our trip. Returned the Amazon one I bought when we got back from our trip. This thing is awesome though and had us pull over at a rest stop. We didn't know why, maybe it had something on the screen but it was my first time using it. When we stopped at the rest stop we noticed a lot of semi trucks also pulling over so we asked someone and the freeway we were on was reported to have 65 MPH winds so our 35 foot motorhome would have been in jeopardy. We waited until it was safe and drove on.This is a must have for the RV lifestyle in my limited experience. You input all the dimensions of your rig and it will guide you to safe routes. I tried it alongside Google maps and it does take you on alternate routes.Just get it and be safe on your travels.

Review: If you own an RV and donât have a dash cam already then this is the GPS to have. Harming is a very reliable brand (I have two other units in two different vehicles and have never had one fail) I tried several different GPS apps on my phone and none of them worked well particularly if you have no cell coverage. The Garmin RV cam just does what it was designed to do.

Review: I have only tested it locally so far but it has a bit of a learning curve. Not as intuitive as Google Maps in that you have to pick the city of your destination first, then next page to enter street number, then next page for the street name. If you donât select the city first, it will say âno matches foundâ which is somewhat annoying. Could just be that the operator doesnât know what heâs doing yet !!Screen size is plenty big, and graphics are clear. It has lots of features for finding gas, restaurants, hotels etc. and you can look ahead for choices based on time. (ie: coffee shop 30 minutes ahead)RV trip to FLA soon to work out the kinks !

They mention it's large enough to see clearly, works well with home wifi, and is good for RV or travel trailer navigation. Some are satisfied with the features. However, some dislike the value for money and disagree on ease of use, GPS functionality, and accuracy.
