HOW TO QUICKLY SETTING UP THE TRACKER?

STEP 1. – Activate Sim

Buy a local SIM card with 4G(LTE) network function and Install the new sim card into your mobile phone and activate the sim card and remove SIM card’s PIN code. Make sure it can make a call, send a text and has an internet connection. Once this is confirmed, insert SIM to your tracker.

STEP 2. – Turn on the tracker

Charge it about 1 hour first.

The yellow and blue indicator lights will start flashing while it searches for a network and GPS.

Please wait 5 minutes in a good reception area (by a window or outside) for both lights to come on constantly. It will continue to flash yellow if it can not find a network. Move it to another location.

Please note, when the device has a GPS signal it will get a GPS location. If not it will get its location using LBS.

STEP 3. - Setting APN for the tracker

(1) You need to know your tracker’s SIM card's APN (You can ask your SIM card provider);

(2) Please note the following operations need From another phone number send text messages command to the tracker’s sim card’s phone number to set tracker's APN.

For example:

APN is: everywhere

APN username is: eesecure

APN password is: secure

(1) If your SIM card’s APN without username and password, then send text command(8030000+space+APN) to the tracker, it will reply “SET OK”.

Text command is: 8030000 everywhere

(2) If your APN with username and password:

Then sned text Command(8030000+Space+ APN+space+ APN user+Space+ APN pass) to the tracker : 8030000 everywhere eesecure secure

Please note: Different SIM card has difference APN. Please apply the above formula according to your actual APN to set up your machine

STEP 4. - Setting GPRS mode

Send text command to the device to set GPRS mode:7100000

Then wait about 30sec, both blue and orange light should stay ON which mean you can now login to sinotrackpro web or app to check if tracker active. (Username is your tracker’s ID number that write on the product, password: 123456)

If you set ok of all, you can track it online. If it online but show China location, then take it to the outside which signal good place to get GPRS signal, when it get signal, will update your location.

If the device is not online, please check device setting, send: RCONF to device,

It will reply the setting you can check in reply:

1. The APN if is correct;

2. The IP and Port if is correct(IP and port are write in the usermanual,you can check if same as reply)

3. The device working model, (GPRS model)

Title: Issues after a week but fixed now. Great GPS!
Review: *Update: The seller has since responded multiple times through email and everything has been corrected. The app even works correctly now. I have to reevaluate my assessment of the device by saying that I would definitely recommend this product. IF your GPS freaks out in any way, just pull the Sim card for a short time and reinsert. Follow the directions step by step and you should have no problem. I'm not sure what made the Sinotrack app decide to finally start working. Maybe contact the seller to initialize it.Starting off, the GPS was easy to install. I purchased the SpeedTalk Sim card and thought I would be the one who wouldn't be able to activate it correctly but it wasn't difficult at all. I had it responding within an hour to text message. However, even after a week, it would not show up on the app map.Today marked exactly one week of being installed. This morning, around 4am, I was awoken to my GPS repeated calling my phone. I even texted the command to not receive calls from the device. Just for curiosity sake, I counted the number of times the device called me. As of a few hours ago it was over 240 times! Once I finally got around to it, I removed the Sim card. So the calls have stopped for now.I emailed Sinotrack tech help to no response. I left a question on the Amazon sales page.IF I can set it back up and don't receive anymore calls, I would say I would buy again ONLY because it was so cheap. But if not then it's going in the trash...

Review: I purchased a pair of the ST-901 trackers after verifying my area would be covered by SpeedTalk mobile. I got them on a Friday, and activated the SIM cards I had bought at the same time. I verified each sim card using my cell phone, I was able to send/receive SMS and phone calls via the new sim. After that, I inserted each sim into its ST-901, powered them using an external power supply (12V) and set them outside. I could see both the blue and orange LEDs had gone solid, meaning both devices had a lock on the cell signal and the gps signal.I waited for 3 days like was recommended in another review. Unfortunately nothing happened, the devices would not respond to my text messages. In the area I live I can have trouble with signal with my Verizon phone while indoors, so I suspected the issue might be cellular signal. I live right on the northern edge of Metro Phoenix (Anthem), so I asked a friend who lives closer to downtown at Greenway and 35th ave if I plug them in at his house and continue waiting for activation.I put the devices into my truck, and powered them up using 12v, so they wouldn't be draining the internal battery during transport.I wasn't on the road more than 5 minutes before all the sudden my cell phone exploded with text messages, all the RCONF and 8030000 mobilenet text messages that I had sent were finally received! Yay!After that, I turned around, brought them home and powered them back up with my external power supply. They do not get cell signal inside my garage, however they do get signal while sitting outside. So that is what prompted me to write this review.My two devices both behaved the same way at the same time. They both had signal since the start as I've been able to prove once they activated. There was sufficient signal outside my home. It seems the trick was to take them for a ride, and get the GPS receiver to notice that "Hey, I'm moving". That appears to be a trigger to get the device to wake up and attempt to use the cellular radio. Both had replied to my original text messages at the same time, while driving.For those of you struggling with activation, it's worth a try. Just take them for a ride, powered up using an external power supply if you can. I am buying more, and plan to test this again.Beyond that, I was able to get a consolidated account created for both devices with the username of my choice. Support was responsive and helpful in that regard.Finally, these can be a bit power hungry. I hooked my amp meter to one after it activated, to see what the draw was. On standby it pulled 0.025A @ 14.25V, and when it 'chirped', it would pull up to 0.06A @ 14.25v. So if you are installing these into something like a UTV or motorcycle, be sure to use a trickle charger of some sort.Edit 2/14/2020I purchased two more, one to use immediately and one as a backup. I went through the same procedure as before, activating the sim card and then testing it with my phone. After that, I inserted the SIM into the tracker and took it for a drive while powered via an external power source. Again, I was only on the road for maybe 5 minutes, before the device replied to my '8030000 mobilenet' text message. It had been less than an hour since I had setup the new SIM card with SpeedTalk.I definitely recommend taking it for a ride during initial activation. It will be much quicker.

Title: Can't go wrong with the price. Great buy.
Review: First time I ever purchased any GPS tracker and went with this option. I have some technical background and don't mind messing around with wires if need be. This was very simple to install after reading the instructions. I was surprised how easy it is and works just fine. I connected directly to the battery and didn't connect the ACC cable. I reached out to their support team and adviced not to worry since the device would be getting power directly from the battery. No antenna is needed. All resides inside the hood. So far is working fine. ONLY issue is the software which may freeze every now and then. But I'm very satisfied with my purchase and the price is wonderful.

Title: Tracking Website Isn't Great
Review: So it works. It wasn't too hard to set-up. You can text it to get information, but I got it set up then switched to a data only sim which is very cheap to keep service. The tracking website doesn't work too well. On PC, it never shows the actual map (you can switch to a Chinese map which does seem to work, but Google maps does not show any map). On android cell phone, it'll take me to the location of the device, but it doesn't usually show the actual icon on the map to identify the exact spot (sometimes it does show it). It does cost me about 50 cents per month with a Google Fi data only SIM. I got it just to track a motorcycle in case it is stolen. On Google maps, it is showing my device within a few feet of actual, so it is as accurate as any cell phone GPS.

Review: He comprado este localizador para reemplazar uno similar que funcionaba cargando la batería, y aunque duraba casi 2 meses, la verdad es que era poco práctico.Este lo he conectado directo a batería de un barco y funciona genial. Lo mejor de todo es la mejorada aplicación en el móvil que me permite hacer seguimiento en tiempo real, histórico y conocer gran cantidad de datos útiles. Lo mejor es que, comparada con la de Tkstar, esta aplicación es mas intuitiva y de diseño más amigable, cosa que por lo general las apps chinas no tenían. Sin duda un gran aliado para monitorear el barco, y que puede ser muy útil para coche, moto o cualquier vehiculo que necesite tener localizado, por no hablar de otras funcionalidades que me quedan por explorar como consumo de combustible, kilómetros recorridos, aceite, etc.Muy recomenbable y por un excelente precio.

Review: Come altri hanno descritto, bisogna "sbattersi" un pò per la configurazione ma l'assistenza (in Cina) tramite whatsapp aiuta prontamente nella configurazione. Lo utilizzo su auto collegato direttamente alla batteria con una SIM di 1Mobile (sotto copertura Vodafone) da Euro 2,50 al mese e funziona alla grande per ora. Possibilità di controllare gli spostamenti sia tramite app (IOS e Android) ma anche da PC e Mac. Soddisfatto.

Den die App runtergeladen und es funktioniert auf Anhieb . Ich habe ihn im mein Moped gebaut und ich weiss genau wo er ist und wie schnell er sich bewegt .
