Title: Great grill, but something you need to know when lighting it...
Review: First, the "something you need to know": The ignition mechanism works very well, always on one click (in my experience). However, when I first fired up the grill, I didn't understand the mechanism. There's a little blow-torch that is electrically ignited, which lights the burner. Pressing in on the knob is what sends gas to the little torch, which makes a "whooshing" noise. Then when you let the knob back out, the "whooshing" stops, and you can't see any flame. So you think, "Oh no! This fancy grill doesn't work!" HOWEVER, the flame is there. It's simply quiet and colorless. You might see it at night, but not by day. You will know your burner is lit, because heat will rise up.With that out of the way...Yeah, every piece of this grill is stainless steel! That's why I bought it as the replacement to my rusted-out, ubiquitous stainless-top patio grill. I had taken the previous grill as far as it could go, even replacing the burners, flame tamers, and bottom pan with stainless parts. However, the body of the grill was rusting to pieces. Enough of rusty grills!I like that the grate is substantial and will hold some heat. I've only used it for grilling burgers so far, but it seems to work fine.The grill puts out substantial heat, and the heat distribution is surprisingly uniform. I was able to fill the grill with hamburger patties and cook them in a fairly strong, cold breeze. I don't know that my old grill would have gotten hot enough. The thermometer at the top of the Cuisinart grill registered 400 degF, despite the cold wind and the grill being completely loaded. The patties cooked quickly and evenly.Cleanup is easy. You can literally set this grill in the yard and hose it out.We are keeping this grill on the top of a patio serving cart, so that we can roll it around on our deck. The propane bottle fits in the shelf on the bottom. The only con is a minor one: There's not a great way to secure the propane hose, without stuffing it among burner hardware and ignition wires.If I ever have problems with this grill, I'll come back and write about it. Review: We just received this grill this week to replace an aging portable grill that was the centerpiece of our tailgating parties. This grill is LARGE and gets HOT. Really HOT. We fired it this week to burn off any manufacturing oils and to prepare for the weekend's game. I love how this grill lights. I'm pretty sure that lighting the grill will never be an issue. When you turn the knob it fires an electronic ignition spark that lights a LARGE pilot torch that in turn lights the burner... simple GENIUS. No more waiting for a spark to catch one of the small gas jets on a burner just right and striking over and over... This lights up on the first strike every time.The cooking area is HUGE for a portable grill... This can easily take the place of backyard grills for most small to medium functions. The lid is high enough for just about anything you would grill and will trap a nice large pocket of hot air for things like grilled pizza. I really wish that a warming rack was included. Luckily I can bend and weld stainless so I may be adding this myself. The legs are nice and solid and the lid is equipped with latches that lock the lid for transport.Aside from the warming rack I really wish that the grill had a wider range regulator. While it does get REALLY hot it doesn't do warm all that well. for 'low and slow' cooking you are better off using indirect heat by lighting only one side once the grill is up to temp and cooking your sausages and delicates on on the unlit side. I also wish that the hose was longer... again something I may take upon myself at a later date with the addition of a variable regulator that will let me lower the gas flow for better temp range.I plan to order a spare set of burner tubes as those are always the first thing to rot out on any grill and in my experience always seem to rot on specialty grills just as replacements become discontinued. The rack appears to be welded solid stainless steel so I'm not worried about it rotting away.Even with my 2-3 planned 'upgrades' this is still a 5 star grill and easily one of the best grills we've had in our lineup. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable grill.

Title: Love this grill
Review: We bought this to put on our sailboat as our last grill used the small green propane tanks which don't last long and once you hook them up they always leak when you take them off of the grill to store it. Leaking propane on a boat is a bad thing to be sure.This grill is all stainless steel and the grill grate is very heavy duty, it is very well built and easy to take apart to clean. It uses a standard 20lb propane tank which we have mounted to the stern rail and of course you can get these nearly everywhere and they are inexpensive. The grill heats up very quickly and holds the heat well and the temperature adjusts well. The top is rather shallow which makes it easy to store and there is plenty of room unless you plan on cooking a whole ham. The one thing that will surprise you is just how large this grill is, you won't have any problem grilling for 2 couples and I'm guessing that 12 good sized hamburgers would fit just fine. We were going to add a mount to this so we could attach it to our stern rail but didn't really care to do that because using our other grill there was a bit of a pain. I was afraid to use this on our cockpit table because I was concerned that the heat would ruin the teak but after a test run at home I found that I could place my hand on the surface the grill was resting on and it transferred very little heat. We will be adding rubber feet and some sort of clamping system so it stays put if the boat is rolling but that's easy enough.The top latches securely and the grill is easily carried like a suitcase.If you have looked at the prices for grills made for boats you have no doubt suffered sticker shock. This grill is every bit as nice, personally I think it's better than those grills at a fraction of the price.

Review: PROS- Very solid construction, the grate itself is very heavy- Simple and easy to use- Large surface area- Heats up very quickly- Heat is dispersed very evenly; no spots with high flames or dead spots- Very light for its size- Comes ready for 20LB tanks, you need an adapter for 1LB tanks; which is the best configuration- Looks greatCONS- Not super easy to clean- The flame guards are stainless, so after a couple of uses, it is impossible to polish them. It would have been better making them a darker, more matte colour and easier to cleanAll in all, this is a great grill. It is a major step up from the single burner, inexpensive grills that work great for a year or two, and then break or break down. I expect to have it for many years.

Review: We bought this not for travel but for convenience. Small enough to occupy very little room but delivers the heat and quality of a full size. Heats up quickly and evenly, grilling is a snap and we have not had a bad meal cooked on it. I really wanted to get away from the full size BBQ as it is a waste of space and a pain to store during the rough parts of the winter season (for us anyhow) . I Have a large resin storage unit in the backyard in which we store the BBQ and our Pizza oven which sit nicely on a stainless cart making all of our outdoor cooking a snap to keep tidy while increasing functionality. just painting a picture for anyone who is trying to decide if they want a full Size BBQ this might be a better option depending on your particular needs/wants)We have not encountered any cons to the owning this BBQ, its simply been a great all around experience and we hope to have it for many many years as it is built so well and really does do a great job maintaining the heat for quality and even cooking.

Review: A good grill, although the sheet metal is not very sturdy. Product was damaged slightly in shipping; the flame tamers were bent, front panel was slightly disengaged. But it works well. I find that you need to keep the lid closed if you want to maintain good hot temperatures for grilling; it never gets hot enough with the lid open. With the lid down it has produced perfectly grilled steaks, burgers, salmon, kebabs, etc. The grill rack is excellent, heavy stainless steel and relatively easy to clean.
