Title: The metal is kind of thin
Review: It works if you operate very slowly. I used it to slice some frozen lamb , it worked but making big noises if I tried to speed up. It cut one slide every two seconds, which seems very slow and need many patients. Otherwise it worked ok. Definitely not for heavy duty or anything hard.

Title: weak motor and hard to use
Review: This product is very light and moves even with the suction cups on the counter. The motor is weak and bogged down, when I was trying to cut a beef roast, unless I moved the slider real slow. the plastic guard is flimsy and deflects when you try to push the items you are slicing towards the blades.It might work better on produce like tomatoes or onions, I haven't tried that yet.I'd spend the money on a better one if you're going to use it often. I only plan on maybe once a month for a few Asian dishes that required the meat to be thinly and uniformly sliced.
