Title: Well worth it!
Review: This book was well worth the price. It gives a detailed, "behind the scenes" view of the show, great photos (many full page and double-spread), articles and interviews of GRRM, the producers, and actors. Includes overviews of the major characters, house histories, genealogies. If you are a fan of the show, this book is a great supplement to your collection of GoT material. The only downside is the book only covers the first 2 seasons, so is a bit out-of-date when discussing some of the plotlines and events that took place in season 3. Overall, excellent. The book cover is made of a (faux?) leather material, giving it a kind of "library" feel.

Title: Inside HBO's Game of Thrones Insiders Book
Review: This is a well written and beautifully illustrated book by one of the writers for the tv series. It gives alot of background information about family crests, their ancestors history and the family trees. I LOVE this book, it is easy reading. I liked how many of those behind the scenes are giving their POV (point of view) of the costuming, the sets, and important location details. Some of the characters were asked to project their side of the story with just a look, or a toss of their sword or die memorably. Even G.R.R. Martin gives some trivia about details he debated on whether to include or leave out. The pages are dark and richly detailed. I would buy this book again in a heartbeat. For the serious addict of G-O-T, and those who are reading the books, I highly recommend this as an important addition to their library.

Title: High Quality Book
Review: This book is gorgeous and is an excellent companion to the TV series. It's full of beautiful full and double page pictures from the show. There are interesting tidbits about set design, filming locations, concept art for locations and costumes and it features interviews with the cast, the costume designers, the directors, all sorts of folks involved in bringing the world of Westeros to life.I was surprised by the quality - this is a nice book. It has a sturdy, embellished cover and the pages are thick. This isn't a flimsy, over-sized paperback, it's a real quality book. Honestly, it's much higher quality than I expected it to be. I was quite pleasantly surprised. I think I'm going to order a second copy as a Christmas gift for a friend.Hardcore fans may want to wait for the collector's edition box set (pre-order for $150 through the HBO store) which contains this book, two maps, an artist's portfolio(book) of additional storyboard art (including deleted and alternate scenes), and a signed book plate (by this book's author, Bryan Cogman, not Martin). Does it sound awesome? Yes. But, if you don't have $150 to spare picking up this book for $26 is great deal here on Amazon.

Title: Great addition to the show!
Review: Really enjoyed going through this book. I loved the interviews, production photos, and narration to the show. The book itself is very nice. It has kind of a "padded" cover which feels high quality. I will say that the corners bend kind of easily, but can't really knock the book for that minor critique.I will say that I would have liked a little more about the production of the show. A lot of the book was background, etc. on the characters and I was hoping to see just a bit more about the making of the show (which is why I took away 1 star).Overall this is a great addition to the series and would also make a wonderful gift!

Title: Excellent Visual Guide to GOT season 1
Review: This beautiful book is a useful and handy visual guide to the Game Of Thrones. The emphasis in this book is on the visual with enough text and charts to refresh the readers memory of just who this particular character is related too. There is an extensive amount of background information mostly consisting of quotes from cast and the HBO production crew. The information is, as you would expect by the publication date, current with Season 1 information. Recently I was in a brick and mortar chain bookstore and they had this book on display selling at $40. How sad, I lovevisiting bookstores but how can they compete with Amazon where I purchased this book for $21 shipped free. This handsome, large book - 9 by 11 inches - is a visual treat, eye candy, if you will. Five stars for the beauty of the book itself and the photos.

Title: Great reference for those just starting to watch the series.
Review: I just started watching GoT about a 2 months ago (late I know, but I wasn't about to pay for HBO for one series), and about halfway into the first season I really found myself wanting something to reference so I could keep characters and places straight. This was a perfect fast resource and I'm glad I purchased it! I enjoyed looking things up and being able to follow the series better. There are a lot of places and complex relationships right from the start, so the first season can be difficult to understand for the noob. One small warning though - this does cover some events in the first two seasons and there will be some spoilers if you are just starting out like I was.

Title: Review of HBO's Game of Thrones
Review: I loved the books and I the series even more. It's thrilling to see the characters you love come to life on the tv screen. There are so many memorable characters introduced by the author George R. R. Martin dealing with love, death, prejudice, violence, politics -very human themes that everyone can relate to. It has its moments of fantasy but it doesn't beat you over the head with them. Reading the books(5 volumes) is something I would recommend. They are a long read but well worth the time and you'll enjoy the G of T series even more.

R.R. Martin. Je le recommande à tous les fans.

Review: I purchased this as a gift for a friend who is a great fan of Game of Thrones.I have to say, having flicked through it when it was initially delivered, I seriously considered keeping it for myself! The cover alone is a thing of beauty - intricately-decorated, but pleasantly 'spongy' to the touch (it's a "debossed padded case with foil stamping", I'm reliably informed!) It is very, very impressive, and is definitely in keeping with the mood of the programme!Even more impressive, however, is the content - it provides insight and loads of behind-the-scenes goodies from the series. It really is a must for any fan of Game of Thrones, and it looks splendid on the bookcase! Finally, at the price its currently on sale at (£7.19) it really is a steal - for the record, HBO are currently selling it on their site for £25! I think we can all see where the better deal is!Five stars from me - a great quality product, at an even greater price! My only regret is that I was only able to admire it fleetingly, before gifting it to my friend - I'll definitely be ordering one for myself ASAP!
