Title: Hurt My Ears, But Good Budget Headphones Otherwise
Review: I’ve not used over-ear headphones like this before and typically use in-ear but wanted to give some over-ear ones a try. I already knew that on-ear headphones would bother me too much. These were some of the better priced (with the coupon provided) headphones that were rated well so far. They were easy to pair and I also tried them with the aux cord, which doesn’t require the headphones be powered on. First of all, the ANC won’t work unless the headphones are powered on and thus, Bluetooth has to be on. I’d like the option to have Bluetooth off and ANC on. Otherwise, the sound is the same with aux or Bluetooth. The ANC does decrease outside noise noticeably but it’s far from blocking all noise, even in my house I could hear the air running. They charged up rather quickly. For the low price you pay, they’re decent. They don’t get very loud and the music quality is okay, but a bit muffled to me. None of this would be the deal breaker for me, especially for the low cost. However, there is a deal breaker. They hurt my ears. They are adjustable and do fit snugly, but the ear caps are too small, they put pressure on my ears instead of fitting more around my ears, they were still making contact. I have average sized ears, for the record. My ears were still hurting several minutes after taking them off. I won’t be able to stand this and will have to return them. Otherwise, they’re a good budget ANC headphone option. Just not for me.
