Title: Well built heat gun with a ton of different uses!
Review: I've been waiting for this heat gun to go on sale. Finally, when Amazon ran a lightning deal on it during the holiday season, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy it.The Dewalt D26960K is the perfect heat gun for someone who wants a very reliable heat gun but doesn't want to spend a lot of money. It has a digital readout and comes with 12 different accessories. It feels extremely well built (as you would expect from any Dewalt tool). It also has a longer than usual cord which can possibly eliminate the need for an additional extension cord.Using the heat gun is extremely easy. All you do is simply plug it in, set the speed (low or high) and set the temperature you want. On low speed, you can set the temperature from 150-750 degrees fahrenheit. According to the manual, these temperatures are used for heating up your work piece slowly (heat shrinks, drying paint, possibly repairing electronics). On high speed, the temperature ranges from 150-1100 degrees fahrenheit. Again, according to the manual, these temperatures are used for heat up your work piece quickly (removing paint, loosening nuts & bolts, removing floor tiles). Obviously, having the option to set your temperature gives you more control during different applications. For example, if you're working on your phone, you may set the temperature lower on the low speed to avoid from frying anything out if you used the higher speed. When you're done using it, it balances very well on the built in kickstand. I've had this heat gun for a little over a month now and I absolutely love it. All of the attachments go on easily and stay there. Not once was I worried about them falling off. Just be careful not to touch them after use!The only negative I can think of is the wall scraper that comes with it. It's a little flimsy. If you're removing paint, you're better off going to a home improvement center and purchasing a better one in the drywall section. If you've been on the fence about buying it, just go ahead and do it. You won't be disappointed!

Title: Good kit for the price
Review: Think I paid about a buck twenty for the heat gun and Kit. (August 2020). Anyway, I lead with price because I believe I paid about the same at a local store years ago when I bought my first dewalt heat gun. (Just food for thought). Now about the review. Itâs made in China (no big Surprise). My last Dewalt gun was made in Mexico I believe. But either way if it lasts forever then where itâs made is debatable. This new gun has a digital thermo regular which I thought was quite neat. My other one has a turn dial. As far as how accurate it really is... I donât know... it gets hot and works... I didnât bother verifying the heat. The wide variety of nozzle attachments is GOLD!! Thatâs the reason I bought another heat gun. My last one came with two attachments... thatâs it... and Iâve always said, with the right tools. You can get the job done right and itâll be just as professional (if not better) than paying someone else to do the job for you. So yes I recommend this Dewalt heat gun kit if youâre looking for a nice gun with plenty of attachments. As far as quality.... this gun is a little different than my other dewalt heatgun. But if it last as long as my last one then Iâll be happy.. (My older heat gun is about 6-7 years old and still works to this day) I got this kit primarily due to the attachments. (The cost of attachments separately are about half the price of a new gun anyway so I just figured now I have a backup)

Title: Decent heat gun, lots of attachments.
Review: This is a decent heat gun, but it's not as nice as some I've used, although it's cheaper than all the others I'm compare it to. I use it at home, mostly for heat shrink tubing, and window film in the winter. It does the job, but it could be better. It doesn't get as hot as I expect based on the temperature on the screen. It seems to be about 100-150 degrees cooler than the heat guns I have at work, which are made by Bosch and Steinel. Well, the Bosch one is actually made by Steinel too, but it says Bosch on it. They don't make that one anymore though. But I need a higher setting on this Dewalt gun to do the same things at the same rate that I do with my Bosch and Steinel guns at work, so the temperature indicator is definitely calibrated differently, and it feels a lot cooler. It doesn't have presets. Which wouldn't be a big deal, but it doesn't always go back to the temperature I had it at after I turn it off. It sometimes does, but it usually doesn't, and I haven't figured out why. I guess I just haven't paid enough attention. But it usually defaults to 150 degrees when I turn it on, and if I hit up or down it goes to 50 degrees above or below where I had it depending on which button I hit. So it doesn't take long to get back to the temperature I had it at, but it's kind of a pain. Also, it's only adjustable in 50 degree increments, which really isn't that big a deal, but the other guns I use are adjustable in 10 degree increments. I suppose if you were doing some sort of precision work you might need that fine level of adjustment, but I generally don't.As for positive things, it has a nice long power cord on it, which is good. The kickstand thing works pretty well, and having all the accessories is a plus. The accessories aren't quite as nice as some, but they're not bad, and you can always add more. The case has a place for every accessory, which is nice, since it keeps them from floating around in the case. The variable temperature and digital display are nice too, even if the temperature isn't 100% accurate. It's at least consistent. All in all, it's a good gun for the money, and I'd recommend it to people who need a reasonably priced heat gun for general purpose stuff around the house or work. It's probably better than anything else in this price range. However, if you want a really nice heat gun and have money to burn, I highly recommend the Steinel digital gun like I have at work. But I don't have $300 laying around at home, so I'm happy enough with this Dewalt gun for personal use.
