Review: The seller was Amazon. I purchased it for 20 bucks. I keep my house cold. My short-hair Chihuahua dog needs a place to warm himself, and this heating pad fits the bill. The item is made in China.In the past, I purchased small/medium/large variations of K&H Pet Bed Warmer, 13 Watts, Large, 11 By 24 Inches and placed them in his beds. But those warmers are either lukewarm, quit after a couple of years, or dead-on-arrival. K&H warmers also cost more than the Sunbeam.For a dog, the Sunbeam on LOW setting works great. Medium setting is too warm. High setting is too hot. If you plug-in the heating pad by itself and then feel it, then it may not feel hot to human touch even on the high setting. However, if you put a towel around it, then it will feel hot (since the heat builds up and radiates through the cloth).Since the outer layer of my dog's bed is not real thick, I folded a bath towel and placed it inside the bed between the heating pad and the top of the dog bed; that made the heat much more gentle. It works great with this pet bed: Snoozer Cozy Cave, Navy, Small. It fits most of the bed, but not all of it, which is good. If the dog gets too warm, then he moves to the back, front, or side/edge of the bed. Most of the time, he is in the middle area...loving the warmth!CONTROLS & CORDThe controls are easy to use: off, low, medium, high. The switch moves up/down between settings, and clicks into place (so it can't be accidentally moved/bumped to another setting). There is a red light on the controller to let you know it is on. The cord is a total of 9 feet long (21 inches between the pad and the controller, 7 feet 3 inches between the controller and the plug).MEASUREMENTEven though the heating pad measures 12 inches by 24 inches, about 1 inch around the heating pad does not get warm (it's just plastic, no heating elements are in that space). I think this is true of most heating pads. So, the heating surface is about 10 inches by 22 inches.HOW WARM DOES IT GET ON LOW?I used an OXO Good Grips Digital Instant Read Thermometer to check the temperature in 5 locations on the LOW setting. Here is what I found: The area closest to the cord was 121F. Six inches next to that was 107F. Six inches next to that was 113F. Six inches next to that was 112F. Six inches next to that was 107F. When I checked the pad temperature, the pad had been turned on for an hour. The pad was in the pet bed (under the first layer of the bed). The bed has a top cover. I placed the thermometer on the bed and pressed the top cover on top of it, and held it there until the temperature reading stabilized.NO AUTO SHUTOFFThis heating pad does not have auto-shutoff, which is one of the reasons why I bought it. For convenience and to make sure it doesn't stay-on when it's not needed, I have it plugged into an Intermatic TN711C Security Timer; I only have 1 red/off tab inserted into the timer, so the pad is automatically turned-off by 11pm each day. So, when I get-up in the morning, I turn-on the timer manually, and then it automatically shuts-off at night. That saves energy, and it is a bit safer.I am very pleased with the Sunbeam, and my dog is very happy with it. I hope it lasts a long time.

Review: I have had this brand before, just the smaller heating pad. I love the temps on the heat settings, and my favorite part is that it doesn't auto shut off like some do. The cover is easy to take off and wash. I had my other one for almost 8 years before I needed a new one. The old one just stopped getting hot, it was barely getting warm. I used the original one, and now this one frequently so for it to last that long being used regularly (probably at least 12/15 days out of the month each month), I'd definitely say it's durable and reliable

Review: The material is basically a cheap, thin, polyester blend that’s just covers the plastic casing of the heating mechanism. There is no weight to it whatsoever, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for that. i’m assuming most heating pads have the same thing inside of them, this one just has a very thin and removable cover.m instead of the fluffy ones that are sewn together as one but.If you’re sensitive to heat, use the lower setting for sure. There is only low, medium, and high, but if you have chronic pain to the point that you have burn marks from how hot you need your heating pad, the hot setting is for you. Anything less and i get no relief so the “downside” of it being “too hot” for some, is perfect for me. (pls don’t burn yourself though) There is also no timer so please be careful!

Title: Stopped working after 6 months
Review: I thought the heating pad was decent enough for the price and got pretty hot as expected. I needed this for my back due to an injury. However, over the last few weeks, it stopped working completely. Really disappointed because I liked using it at the end of a long work day.

Review: Works good but I find that medium isn’t hot enough and high is too hot. I wish there were more temperature settings. Auto shut off is a great safety feature but I wish you could adjust the time for it to shut off. Overall a good product, appears to be well made.
