Title: Comfortable from the start
Review: Not the most "sexy" looking boots, for sure, but definitely great for hiking the awesome national parks! When I first put them on, they seemed a little bulky. However, the "bulk" is what actually made them so comfortable. They have a bit wider toe box, which I like, but still fit my narrower ankles just fine. They required no break-in period. I used the insoles that came with the boots and they worked well, which is great for someone like me who has issues with plantar fasciitis and other foot pain. Though my feet were a bit "heavy" after 8+ hour hiking days, I had no pain. These boots also seem waterproof. Only time I felt actual water was after stepping in a creek that was deeper than expected and water went over the top of the boot (totally my fault). Otherwise, I walked through some pretty thick mud, moderate puddles, and shallow creek beds and they worked well. Good traction. Not sure how they'd do in deep snow, but I'm not sure these are made for that since they are only mid-height anyway? The rounded toe is pretty ugly, but I was quite thankful for the rubberized protection when walking over rocks and boulders. Definitely recommend these boots. You get what you pay for, and these are worth it. And these are true to size. I wear a size 11 ladies in both running shoes and tennis shoes, and I ordered a size 11 in these...perfect fit.

Title: Love these
Review: This is my second pair of keen hiking boots. I was looking for something a little lighter than my current "snow" hiking boots to wear in warmer Florida winter. This fit great, they do have a large toe box making them feel a little large, but they are super comfortable and the extra room I the toe area has not been a problem. I usually wear 6.5-7, the 6.5 are great!

Title: Extremely happy with this purchase!
Review: First pair of hiking boots. Bought these Keenâs and another brand to see which one felt better on my feet. I kept the Keenâs because I like that they have a wider toes box. Used them so far for three difficult hikes and they didnât disappoint! I stepped in water and they kept my feet dry. They were comfortable during the hike. Traction was great on the hikes. I feel like these boots are durable. Also they are a nice looking boot!

Title: Perfect!
Review: This was the second pair I bought, after the first one was too large in size for me. But I already had these shoes for the past 5-6 years or more, and they are still good. I needed however another pair & they fit very well, are light and comfortable, and pretty. I hope they keep as warm in winter as the older pair.

Title: Great for hikers with bunions!
Review: My favorite hobby is hiking, mostly off trail. Unfortunately I inherited my motherâs bunions which tend to make long hiking trips quite painful. After doing some research, this boot was recommended for those, like myself, whom suffer from hallux valgus. Right out of the box, the wide toe box that these Keenâs offer felt amazing. The boot is also fitted around the heel, which not only keeps my foot from sliding in the boot, but also provides stability. Iâve just returned from a 5 mile, off trail hike, which involved a lot of climbing, crawling, and side-hilling. With my previous boots, after about 2 1/2 miles, my bunion pain would become so severe that Iâd have to call it quits. These Keens far exceeded my expectations. The waterproofing kept my feet nice and dry, even after spending time hopping around in a creek. My toes never felt pinched as they had plenty of wiggle room. I still developed some bunion pain on one foot, but that was the fault of the amount of side-hilling I did and not the fault on my shoe. Next hike. I plan to wrap my bunions to see if that doesnât help with the side-hill pressure. I typically wear a 9 and I ordered a 9 1/2, which fits well with my thin hiking socks. However, I probably should have considered a size 10 to accommodate my thicker, wool hiking socks. All in all, I definitely recommend these boots from Keen.

Title: Wider width than most hiking shies
Review: I like these hiking shoes, they fit my wide feet and are sturdy/well made, and provide good ankle support. The sole provides good grip and not too heavy. I wear them often.

Title: Where company policy gets in the way of customer service...
Review: The Keene Targhee 2s have been my go-to boots for well over a decade. They fit me perfectly. Lightweight, great on rocks, feels as comfortable as a sneaker. Moreover, they are literally the only shoes I wear. Well, unless I am going out, which is not often!I spend most of my time in the woods. My last pair was ordered on May 3, 2024. In early June, the lace strap broke. Amazon was unable to accept a return, so I contacted the Keene Customer Service department. I made multiple submissions without hearing anything back. I finally contacted a Keene rep by phone; sent her the photo of the broken lace and the Amazon invoice. She informed me that she was unable to effect help other than to send me over to the warranty department. When I asked her how long I was looking at for a new pair of boots, she indicated that it would be several weeks. I responded that these were the only shoes that I wear, and that I was going to have to buy a new pair of boots to replace the defective Keenes; and why can't she just overnight me a pair? Well, policy won't allow that, even though she was looking at the photo of the defective boot and the invoice. The warranty submission process was actually appalling, and I was shocked how difficult they made it. I have heard nothing back from them after 5 days. I am not expecting much.A classic situation where a great company gets too big and forgets about their fans who have been devoted to their product.Time to find a new brand. See ya Keene!Skye Reno

Review: Me parece que vienen amplias, si se compran por primera vez recomiendo que se compre al menos .5 número menos, por lo demás me parecen muy funcionales y cómodas, en terreno montañoso tienen buen agarre y el pie se mantiene seco.

Review: These shoes are fantastic and comfortable. You can slip them on and not have to break them in at all before a hike. I love a good Keen and I'm happy to have found this shoe on sale.My two qualms with the shoes are as follows:1. The top clasps for the laces are made out of plastic, not metal. This just seems cheap and I'm sure they will be the first thing to go on the shoe. Columbia shoes use metal clasps but aren't nearly as comfortable on the sole as Keens, imo. But although the clasps are plastic, they initially hold the laces in place very well.2. The inner sole is made of some sort of poly-plastic and it's noticeable, as your sock does slip a bit on it. I wish it had a better texture and was less slippery/smooth --something for Keen to think about for their next design. I might spray it with a fixative to give it some texture.Anyhow, minus to the two points of possible improvement, I still highly recommend this shoe to anyone with shorter toes and a wider food box. I have osteoarthritis, morton's neuroma, and nerve damage in my toes. These shoes are so comfortable that walking doesn't bother my feet while wearing them. I can't recommend them enough. Would definitely buy them again.
