One of the most popular movie comedies of all time is also the film that made John Belushi a star. This raunchy, screwball comedy directed with madcap zest by John Landis offers a relentless spoof of 1960s college life by following the hilarious adventures of the Delta fraternity. In addition to Belushi as Bluto Blutarsky, the outstanding cast includes Tim Matheson, Tom Hulce, Stephen "Flounder" Furst, Karen Allen, Donald Sutherland, Peter Riegert, and Kevin Bacon, along with Otis Day and the Knights with their show-stopping performance of 'Shout.'

Title: National Lampoon hits big time
Review: This film has got me laughing at some scenes, and John Belushi has hit big time despite acting for Television. Especially nailing the role of Bluto Blutarsky who eliminates a rival, Gregory Marmalard to gain success in the real world.

Title: Funniest movie ever
Review: I love the character played by John Belushi it is so so funny. In the beginning of the movie it is funny what he does to those two guys who come to that fraternity. He didn't even realize he did that because he was so drunk. I love the party at the end that they have with those girls from college and the lies they tell to get them to go out with them is hilarious. Great ending too!I also love all of the music 💥💯

Title: Irrelevant Frat house classic
Review: First let me say I’d call Animal House a classic or at least a classic of the sub genre it created: the FRAT House comedy. Like many movies I’ve grown up with, parts of this, well most of this hasn’t aged well. As it’s a period piece to begin with you can write off lots of problematic bits to context, some are harder to justify if you are going to stay on board with the “good guys” as there aren’t any, anti-heroes at best. For example, our protagonist struggles with his literal conscious about a possible rape of his date (compounding this with a later revelation that she’s underage) don’t panic he makes the right decision, at least in that instance. If you can get past that, offensive stereotypes on and off campus, boobs, dead horses, food fights and double secret probation maybe it’s a film for you m. So if you’re unfamiliar with the film or any Frat film (college sex comedy) they all are modeled after this one. The Fraternity (or Sorority) is the worst on campus and butt heads with the Dean. This has a great cast of Frat and Faculty and was written by comedy legends John Landis & Harold Ramis. It’s got an amazing soundtrack too.

Review: Un clásico de los 80. Esta versión italiana (la que pone en la carátula 70s collection) tiene audio en castellano. Divertida si te gusta el rollogamberro de las fraternidades.

Review: Animal House is a rather well known movie , and deservedly so ; it's great fun , now becoming great nostalgia of a bygone age . My addition to the info on it would be the fact that the 30th Anniversary Edition contains even more fun , in that it contains 2 discs , with extras that provide great insight that make the movie more enjoyable. At the end of the movie there are subtitles indicating what became of the characters in later life. One extra is an elaboration on that theme. For instance at the end of the movie it is indicated that John Belushis' character goes on to become a Senator ; in the fictional extra he has gone beyond that to become President. Other characters are expanded on in a similar manner. The other extra is even more enjoyable in that it contains interviews with all the stars and producers / writers / director about the hi-jinks that comprised the production of the movie. It is obvious that they enjoyed the making of the movie even more than those of us that view it. Also included is an interactive Triva Challenge.

Review: Ok, this movie is offensive, homophobic, misogynist, sexist, classist, kind of racist, and promotes extremely unhealthy attitudes toward alcohol abuse. And it's just massively entertaining. John Belushi is at his finest in this. The entire cast is wonderful as is the script. The directing from John Landis is pitch perfect and this work should have defined his legacy - rather than later career mistakes. For all of the things about Animal House that today would be considered un-PC, the film is a deeply moral tale, and a strong argument against the falseness and inequality plaguing society.
