Falling for my brother’s best friend was not on my to-do list…

But neither was kissing him the night before he was traded to a team across the country.

Clearly, I didn’t think things through and I spent the past decade trying to bury the memory of him.

He left and I had no choice but to move on after he seemingly forgot about me.

I dove headfirst into my career and after a failed relationship left me a single mom, I had no time for any other distractions that came my way.

But when Lincoln Matthews walks back into my life, my carefully constructed walls begin to crumble.

He’s my new roommate and no matter how hard I try to resist, old feelings resurface with a force I can’t ignore.

Lincoln has never been one to get involved and he doesn’t do long-term commitments, unless it's committing to a new hockey team.

But something about him is different now.

He’s everywhere I turn, everywhere I go, and just when I think I’ve managed to escape his orbit, he’s there, pushing me to give him a chance to prove not all guys are like my ex.

But am I ready to let him back in… or is it already too late to stop falling for him all over again?

Title: Lincoln and Nova 🌠
Review: A new series by Cali Melle means a new leading man to fall in love with, and Lincoln Matthews does not disappoint!𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩.Lincoln Matthews is a hockey player for the Aston Archers NHL team who finds himself back in his hometown after being traded from the Orchid City Vipers. I loved that little crossover. He’s now living with his best friend, Nash, and Nash’s younger sister, Nova, who he’s had feelings for since they were teenagers. But he wasn’t the only one with feelings—Nova felt the same way. However, when Lincoln got drafted by the Archers, they went their separate ways. Now he’s back, and Nova is a single mom to the cutest little girl, Posey. They’ve both kept their feelings to themselves, except for a moment they shared the night before Lincoln left for Orchid City. This was my first single-mom romance, and I loved it! From the forced proximity of living together to the brother’s-best-friend trope, it was perfection. Lincoln is completely obsessed with Nova and gets jealous when he finds out he’s not her favorite player on the team. Oh, and he’s pierced. Lincoln (or as Posey calls him, Winky) is also the biggest golden retriever, and seeing him develop a relationship with Posey melted my heart. Nova is an amazing mom who works in the astronomy field and loves stargazing. I adore them so much and can’t say enough good things about this book… so go read it!I can’t wait for the next book in the series, following Nova’s brother, Nash, and her bestie, Riley. There was clearly something between them in this book, and after the epilogue, I can’t wait to see what happens. I’m so excited for more Aston Archers!

Title: Lincoln and Nova
Review: If you’re looking for an easy, no drama, low angst plot, this book is for you. It was a quick easy read that felt a little like a Hallmark movie. The only real conflict was revealing their relationship to the fmc’s brother and mmc’s best friend, but even that was pretty unproblematic. There was a good combination of tropes in this book. It was a true hockey romance with plenty of focus on the sport both in and off the ice. It was a single mom, brother’s best friend, roommates to lovers, it’s always been you romance. I really liked the development of Lincoln and Nova’s relationship. They both tried to stay in the friend zone and failed at ignoring their chemistry miserably. There was a good amount of tension and by the time they finally gave in, it was inevitable.I really liked the way Lincoln was with Posey. Initially he was hesitant about her because he had never been around a toddler, but he quickly earned her trust and became a great care taker. I loved how he was able to calm both Posey and Nova down when they needed a break from each other. He was truly the missing piece in their family puzzle. This was a sweet start to this new series. It was lighthearted and did a great job at introducing all the characters.

Title: Lincoln and Luna
Review: Brothers best friend, hockey, single mom, found family. The book reads like Lincoln has little personality, very quiet not you normal hockey guy. Luna has Poe and knows what she needs and wants. They actually date. No breakup, no drama just really slow in the happenings, very sweet, very calm, but did have HEA.

Title: Nice, slow burning story
Review: (SPOILERS)Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️Slow burn: ✅Friends to lovers: ✅Brother’s best friend: ✅Single mom: ✅It was a nice Sunday, easy going, slow burning kind of read. A love story that basically ignites starting from a college crush that both MMF and MMC have kept secret for about 10 years. There is not much background of their families and past, just information brushed through the pages, but at 240 pages length it’s understandable. The encounter of Lincoln with Dane was weird and unfounded from my perspective… Dane didn’t bother anyone, he was being polite actually and yes, a jerk, but still…Otherwise, the plot has been kept to the minimum, but I have enjoyed their story.

Title: Single mom and brothers best friend
Review: Tropes:Single MomBrothers best friendHockey playerForced proximity/ RoommatesIt's always been youLincoln and Nova have stolen my heart. This was so sweet and a long time coming happy ever after. The night before Lincoln leaves town to play hockey, he makes his move and kisses Nova- then that's it.10 years later., he's moving back home to play on his hometown team with his best friend. Moving in with him for the time being is the plan, then he finds out he will also be living with Nova and her daughter. Lincoln steps up. Making his move and taking on more than just a boyfriend role. Posey, the adorable toddler steals his heart, just like her mom. I loved the tension between Linc and Nova and the way he helped her numerous times with Posey and her life as a single mom. Also, I am a sucker for the its always been you trope. Their chemistry was undeniable, it's always been there just the timing wasn't right.

Review: I enjoyed this book. It was well written & edited. I liked the character development & growth as they examined their growing feelings.SPOILER ALERT: I believe Nova should have pressed charges against the guy that not once but twice assaulted her. It would have been nice to see how it turned out & the results for Lincoln also.Yes, I recommend this book & author.

Review: These two hooked me right from the epilogue!Nova is Lincoln’s dream girl, but there’s just one problem—she’s his best friend’s sister. After years of not seeing each other and him accepting that they would never happen, they end up getting way too close, and it’s hard not to entertain the idea again.Their chemistry is off the charts, but they’re also so sweet together.I loved seeing Lincoln with Poe, the way he cares for and bonds with Nova's daughter was so heartwarming. These characters are so charismatic, both the main ones and the side characters (I’m super excited for the next book in the series).

Review: A truly shining story in this new series. We follow the story of Lincoln and his best friend’s little sister Nova. Both had crushes on each other when they were teenagers but kept it hidden and never acted on or said anything about it. At the beginning we had a little get together in the cutest form, but it was laced with bittersweetness because it was Lincoln’s farewell.Fast forward ten years later and he is back. Moving back in with his best friend he doesn’t know that the one girl he could never have also is his roommate. But Nova is not the same girl she was before. Today she is a single mom and goes through all the struggles and hurdles single moms have. But that doesn’t have Lincoln turning around. He is there for her and develops a beautiful relationship with her little daughter.Having the aspect of roommates and his best friend you might think there is a drama coming our way, but how Nash handled them being together was really wonderful.I am very curious about the next book in this series because it started out interesting.

Review: Lincoln and Nova - as good as wishing upon a shooting star. The first book in the Aston Archers series and it was so good! I loved Lincoln and Nova, their love was inevitable. Little Pose was just adorable but I could really relate to Nova's struggles with raising a toddler and feeling like your failing. Such a beautiful story, I loved Lincoln and Noras relationship and can't wait for more from this world.

Review: Cali Melle is an automatic read author for me, she writes it I read it no questions asked! This book had me from the first page. The making a wish was everything for me because I do this too😂, shooting stars, 11:11 but I didn’t know you could do it on full moons until this book so also thank you for that.Lincoln Matthew’s has just entered the top tier book boyfriend shelf and we are so proud of this. He is as a man obsessed, pierced, in love, smitten, head over heels for both Nova and her little one Posie. He cared about them fiercely and took a big role in Posies life no questions asked he wanted to and he did and that was so beautiful and heart warming to read.Nova is an angel, she’s so sweet. She’s a great mum, friend, sister and daughter! You could tell how she felt for Lincoln from the start and she deserved a happy ever after and she deserves Lincoln. You could see how well they just fitted together so seamlessly.I loved this book, it was such a cute fun read! Now please let us have Nash’s book!Out of my 20 highlights here’s a couple..“Have you ever wished on a star? Only for you.”“I always tried to keep my distance out of respect for your brother, but you w always been the only person I see. In a crowded room or in an empty one, it’s always you, Nova.”
