JEFF SHAW EXPECTS A BLUE CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR

Reeling from a broken engagement, Jeff doesn't feel like celebrating. Especially with his ex-fiancée's younger sister, Natasha Brickson. But Natasha is determined to immerse Jeff in Christmas cheer, and to his surprise, her tender care begins to mend his heart. Unlike his ex, Natasha is warm, compassionate and lovely inside and out.

Natasha's always stood in her sister's shadow, so she doesn't expect the man of her dreams to notice her. But when their friendship becomes something more, can Jeff convince Natasha that he was engaged to the wrong sister…and give her the Christmas gift of a lifetime?

Title: Not Your Typical Dumpee Getting Involved with the Sister
Review: “The Best Man's Holiday Romance” by Gail Sattler is loosely connected to “The Best Man's Secret”. Even though it is loosely connected this is a great stand alone book, so no worries. If one hasn't read “The Best Man's Secret” then they wouldn't even know that there was a connection in the first place. I only recognize the loose connection is because I wanted to read more by Ms. Sattler and the library had these two books, and I read them in published order. This story could have gone in so many ways that I was almost wary of reading the book after reading the back of the book, but after reading a couple of other Ms. Sattler books, I hoped that it was going to be something different. Well my hope became a promise for this book is something unlike any other book with the same thought of guy getting involved with the sister of an ex almost wife. I will say that this book was different with the timing of everything and how it was written. So often it almost reads as if the guy in on the rebound and I am always wondering if it is real love or if it was just easy in the rebounding area to get involved with someone the dumpee already knew. This book is written so well that there was no question as to what was going on. It was easy to see how things developed, that things could develop and change but there is also always that nagging thought of rebound. No I am not feeling as if I am giving anything away for these are all things that can be found on the back of the book anyway.I enjoyed how both of the characters at one point in time or another had totally human things going on and in front of each other. I thought it was really nice to see such normal activities happening between them and that neither seemed to be upset or embarrassed by these things, while accepting them to be normal and nice as a level of trust and comfort among themselves. This is something I haven't read in too many other books and it was really refreshing in different ways. Both Jeff and Natasha are hard working people who are dealing with their own problems, while helping each other out at the same time with what they are having to do. Their hearts are tender and open though they are both hurting for different reasons. It seems that neither one is willing to close their hearts to the future just because of the pain they are or have suffered which is nice. I really had to sigh more than once at how things developed for Jeff and Natasha for everything seemed to more at a natural flow.I hope that all who read this book enjoys it as much as I did.

Title: Fun Romance over the Christmas Season
Review: A fun romance with a Christmas Theme. I enjoyed the bad sister/good sister conflict. It takes longer for some guys to wake up and realize how fortunate they are not to have married to wrong woman.

Title: Gail Sattler's stories are always so much fun to read.
Review: Jeff and Tasha have been friends a long time. Jeff is engaged to her sister, Heather, who is notoriously late for everything. Which means Tasha and Jeff have plenty of time for talking and getting to know each other. When Jeff breaks off the engagement just weeks before the wedding, Tasha is there to help him through the days ahead. She gets him involved in a work project and soon he realizes which sister he actually has a lot in common with. But it's not an easy transition.Gail Sattler's characters are always so easy to identify with. They are normal people you already know and love. She hit another home run with Jeff and Tasha's story.

Review: Really nice read. Although the story happens during the Christmas season, you can enjoy it all year long. A love story that comes from a good friendship, with the right amount of romance in all the right situations.
