The Champion Power Equipment 6500-Watt Inverter Generator with CO Shield is ultra-quiet and ideal for camping, tailgating, powering items around the RV or providing backup for your essentials. Champion’s EZ Start Dial makes getting started quick and easy. Featuring Cold Start Technology, Extended Run Time, and an easy to read fuel gauge, the reliable 223cc Champion engine produces 6500 starting watts and 5000 running watts, and runs for 15 hours at 25% load when the 3.95-gallon fuel tank is full. With a 0.7-quart oil capacity (included 10W-30) and a low oil shut-off sensor, this inverter operates at an ultra-quiet 64 dBA from 23 feet, which is about as loud as normal speech. The no tool access panel and oil drain tube allow for easy maintenance. Confidently connect your sensitive electronics since this inverter produces Clean Power (less than 3% THD). Our Quick Touch Panel offers fast access to all your controls. The Intelligauge with Power Meter monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours with ease, while Economy Mode monitors power consumption in real time to reduce engine wear and tear. As the electrical load is reduced, the inverter reduces engine speed, providing quieter operation, extended engine life and higher fuel economy. The covered outlets included are a 120V 20.8A RV outlet (TT-30R), 120/240V 20.8A locking outlet (L14-30R), two 120V 20A GFCI household duplex outlets (5-20R), and a 12V automotive-style outlet. Buy this EPA certified inverter generator with confidence – Champion Support and our nationwide network of service centers will back up your purchase with a 3-year limited warranty and FREE lifetime technical support. CO Shield technology monitors the accumulation of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas produced by engine exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield detects unsafe elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine. CO Shield is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm or for safe operation. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors, far away from occupied buildings with engine exhaust pointed away from people and buildings. Meets the requirements of ANSI/PGMA G300-2018.

Title: Amazing piece of equipment
Review: Take it from a professional mechanic. This is a well built machine that puts out clean power and looks beautiful as per my wife. Followed the quick start guide and it started on the first pull. It's not the quietest, but way quieter than a traditional open frame generator. It's quieter than what the video portrays, phone videos amplify noise levels. The fuel filler neck has a nice fine screen filter to filter out any junk from those dirty 5 gallon gas jugs. Top notch product up there with Honda but at half the cost.

Title: I used this from July 8, 2024 to July 14 for Hurricane Beryl
Review: I had one issue that turned out to be a small thing. I had just finished doing the break in and was preparing to set it up for the coming hurricane. I did one more start because I wanted to drain the last of the gas out. I pulled the pull cord twice, maybe a little too quickly, then the cord lost all resistance and wasn't engaging with the motor. This was a Saturday. I called the support number and was on hold for 60 minutes. Eventually I got someone that did try really hard to find a solution, but of course, he couldn't. Eventually I asked for a number for local warranty service and he gave me one. For the next two days I was kicking myself that I'd spent money for this and was likely to loose power with a generator sitting in the garage since it was too late to get it serviced. I thought about taking it apart, but didn't want to void the warranty. On Monday after the hurricane hit and the power went out, I looked at it one more time, just pulled the cord very quickly and releasing it quickly about 3 times, and it caught the engine. Hopefully, that never happens again. One other thing I experienced during break in, was that it stalled a couple of times with no to very low load on ECO mode. ECO mode will make the motor sometimes run a little roughly with no load, because the desired RPM is relatively low. But, I wasn't putting much gas in it and part of that might just have been gas starvation. Anyway, after running for a couple of hours, it never stalled again. So, I ran this for most of the next 7 days. Without issue. I ran it at between 20% to 40% load with short peeks into 60% when we used the microwave. It holds 4 gallons and I consistently had 10+ hours of runtime. I only let it run out of gas accidentally one time and am not sure exactly how long it ran that time, but it might have been near 12 hours. All other times I ran it until the gauge showed that it was near out and refueled.During the hurricane, I changed oil twice at around 60 to 70 hours each. It holds 22 ounces and both times it had probably used 3 to 4 ounces of oil. This appears to be common with air-cooled generators. At the 2nd oil change during the hurricane, I also cleaned the air filter and spark arrestor. Neither really seemed dirty. I have not checked the spark plug yet. Some really nice features the unit has is that it displays runtime for the current session total runtime forever, frequency, and has a 5-level load indicator along with a CO2 monitor. It also has all of the normal AC connections. No gas generator can be said to be quiet. But, this is much quieter than the non-inverter open-frame generators. Your neighbors won't get as upset with you. It's probably near the noise of a gas lawn mower. The quality if the power seems very good. LED lights are just as steady as with normal line power. I've used a non-invertor generator and some LED lights would pulse a little. Not this one.It has a 100-hour maintenance item listed in the manual that has no instructions and says should be done by someone with experience. This is cleaning the fuel filter. I looked around on the internet and this appears to be fairly simple, so I think they should have just included the instructions, but that didn't.It also has two 250-hour items with no instructions and again says someone should do this who knows what they are doing. Cleaning the combustion chamber and check/adjust the valve clearance. There's a 3-year item for replacing the fuel line. You can download both the owner and parts manuals if you want to look at them before purchase. Then, you have to be careful how you store it in order to prevent gas from turning to varnish in the unit and preventing it from running. The manual has procedures for different storage intervals. So, there are a number of maintenance considerations if you want to make sure it works when you need it, but that's a common thing with all generators.Overall, I'm very happy with the features and price point. I wish it also had an electric start, but generators with similar features and an electric start cost quite a bit more.

Title: Powerful and quiet
Review: This is my 5th Inverter in about a year and my 3rd Champion. I tell you this company has it dialed in with this one, it’s quieter than every generator I had previously and they were all lower wattages! I don’t know how that’s possible but it is. I underestimated the size it’s a bit larger than it seems in the pictures, it all worked out for my application though. If anyone reading this is trying to deciding between this and the Predator, GET THIS you won’t regret it.

Title: Better than I expected
Review: 2 years ago, I purchased here on Amazon "DuroMax XP12000EH Generator-12000 Watt" gasoline/gas generator so I could hook it up to my outlet created outside of my house to power it. The problem I experience with it was that whenever I was running it, all my UPS boxes were running on batteries giving about 30 to 50 minutes of life time to my computer systems. What's the point of having a generator if the UPS does not want to or cannot use it right? The only time it was switching off the battery to the "grid" was when my air condition was running. No fun in that. After doing some research, the go to generator was the "invertor" generator that provides "smooth" power. So I purchased this 11000 watts invertor generator by Champion. 1000 watts less than the other one but what a difference.I tested it today with air condition (AC) and artic breeze air-condition in my office running and the generator was running at 50%! The other one was laboring and if the artic breeze kicked in, the generator would trip. On top of it, all my UPS stayed feeding on the power coming from the Champion thus solving my main issue. When you add to this that the Champion is much more quieter than DuraMax and you can remote start it, I am impressed. Putting wheels together and connecting the battery was super easy as well.I would highly recommend it.

Title: Amazed by this Little Beast!!
Review: Shipped to Puerto Rico! Which is very uncommon since most of the generators don't get shipped here. Very well packaged too. Tested it for a few hours for break in, for an inverter it's a little bit louder than expected but hey it's a 6500w so no complains. Impressed by the design, feels robust (compared to Igen4500 I have which plastic feels flimsy, but still think that bad boy is the best 120v generator on the market). Noticed there is more space inside to either increase fuel tank capacity or add a starter/battery (shame on Champion, this thing with a starter would've been unbeatable!!). Used it during Storm Ernesto 2 nights in a row with a superservice cable connected from the house to the L14-30R. It handled two 12,000btu and one 18,000btu split ac's plus my fridge for about 9 hours, and it could take more load! (Was about 75-80% load). Would be better if the Intelligauge could display power output as a number. Felt very light for a 6500 generator, I like the handle and it's easy to maneuver. I hope Champion upgrades it since it can handle more. Can't wait to use it again!
