Title: Great laser for the price
Review: I always need laser printers for home office. I donât print enough to buy high end and inkjets dry out too quickly. This printer is a little noisy but itâs fantastic for business use. Probably not great if you print pictures, but for home office it works well. Is wireless, supports AirPlay, and requires little attention.

Title: Good printer, not good mobile app
Review: I've been wanting a laser printer forever, and I'm happy I got this one. I was switching from HP because I am sick of their pay-to-print forced subscription model. This one allows any cartridges, prints great, and is a great size for my small home office. So far, connectivity has been stable and consistent.Setting it up on my MacBook Pro was relatively easy, but printing from my Pixel phone was more difficult. I fought with the Cannon app for far too long before I read an online tip to use the Mopria app. It worked beautifully the first time. So, if you are having difficulty with remote printing, try Mopria (not a paid advertisement, just your average user who wants to print from my phone :-).

Title: Good Quality Expensive refills
Review: This is a slightly upscale color printer. I had an old Dell which works well if and only if you use the dell cartridges. This unit is large, twice the size of old Dell, quality a bit better but not that much. The main issue is the refills are almost $500 more than 2X the cost of the printer. Third party refills are costly and often cause printer problems.

Title: Extremely loud, difficult to use compatible ink. Quality less than expected.
Review: Wow.. I expected more from Canon. My wife is a real estate agent that needs to print flyers for occasional open house showings, not excessive, just normal personal use. This thing is loud, I mean really loud. When we can get the printer to work, when it is printing, forget about anything else going on in the house. You cannot hear anything except this howling printer. I cannot believe Canon actually released this product. My wife is only moderately technical and this printer constantly needs rebooting and needs attention. Guess who gets bothered when there is an issue?? yup.... me. Most of the time, I feel like putting a sledge hammer through the POS. The printer ALWAYS needs something. There is always an issue; reboot, reconnect the USD, struggle with the wireless connection. It started out with decent looking prints, now a month a couple months later, she's is complaining about lines and color issues. This thing is junk.

Title: Print's great. Setup not so great. Oh, and very noisy when printing.
Review: This was a replacement for a ten year old Canon printer, which finally showed its age. It was was very quiet. This unit prints just as well, but makes a LOT of noise while printing. I can't imagine why. Also, the cartridges are a completely new size, so the old ones don't fit. And then I spent hours trying to activate the wifi, which required entering my password. My password has a few numeric digits in it, but the printer does not accept numbers. I called Canon customer service, but the tech had to put me on hold while he researched the matter. Finally, he came back and told me how to enters digits which required using a hidden, unlabeled and undocumented set of keystrokes. The printer did not come with a user's manual - but it might not have mentioned it anyway.

Title: Very Happy
Review: Reading the reviews, I was nervous and felt like this purchase was a gamble⦠a gamble that paid off though!! It was easy to install for me! I hooked it up to wifi via its screen, then printed from my phone. No calibrating or anything at this point. I printed some pictures, and though they donât quite look like pro-level prints, theyâre pretty great for plain paper prints done in 10 seconds!Someone asked what the long, flat rectangle âextraâ piece was for - the paper drawer has a blue button on the inside to extend for legal paper. The rectangle piece clips into the top of the extended paper drawer, acting as a paper protector as well as a ledge to feed photo paper/envelopes into the photo/envelope feeder. See photos.I highly recommend this printer! I plan to use this largely for printing online sales shipping stuff - labels, small photos of the confirmed purchase, etc. this will fit my needs perfectly, and is a huge upgrade in speed and efficiency when compared to my old inkjet. I did get this half off on Prime day, which may influence my opinion on value though. I probably would have been marginally content (not a bad place to be, but not as excited as I am) if Iâd paid full price.

Title: Good price/adequate/works as it should but interface is clunky and unit is LOUD
Review: The printer is fine. Canon isn't known for ease of use in their printers. The print experience is fine. For a no nonsense business printer if you just print occassionally it's fine once you get it all set up.HOWEVER, you won't be able to print if you're trying to be quiet. This thing is LOUD when it's running. A lot of clunky mechanical noises. Also the LCD is super low quality - it's like an 80s calculator. It also took me like 5 tries to get it to connect to my home network. It's also large and kinda heavy - well larger than other units in it's category... It won't be easy to hide or tuck under a desk.So for the price - I think it's just fine. But I wouldn't be shouting from the mountain tops about it. It's "good enough for government" as they say. It's a solid 3.5 stars..
Customers say
Customers like the print quality, functionality, and value of the printer. They mention it works well, saves money, and is fast. However, some dislike the noise level and disagree on the ease of setup, color quality, and wireless connectivity.
