Title: Works with Blue Iris, but not using ONVIF
Review: I can confirm this SWANN SWNVK-1686810FB-US 16 camera NVR system does work with Blue Iris software (as of 2023), but does not appear to work with ONVIF, so unable to pass alerts from NVR into Blue Iris. In the NVR, the protocol should be set to PRIVATE and mode as AUTO on each camera. Blue Iris can also record sound from the cameras through the NVR connection, which is nice, but talk support back through the camera speaker does not work from Blue Iris.My settings that I find to work the best are...For each camera, point to the HTTP address of the NVR, Make=Swann, Model="SWNHD-885 RTSP", Cam#, Main Stream="/ch{CAMNO2}/0", Sub Stream="/ch{CAMNO2}/1",Audio is defaulted as blank.

Title: Great Camera System
Review: I have had this camera system for a month and have no issues with it. I bought a 2K 32 inch monitor and the pictures are very clear and crisp. I have TP-Link internet router with true high quality internet service. If you don't have high speed internet service you WILL have problems. When I mean high speed, not the speed you need for gaming just an upgrade from your regular service. I did this and everything runs very smooth, and it was only an extra$10 a month. Well worth it when the system works flawlessly. It was -13 degrees with the wind chill of -30 degrees and the cameras were still working. I installed the camera system myself and I had to buy extra 6 cat cables so it would look neat going into the outside wall from the camera box. I also had to but a 100 foot 6 cat cable to run to the far side of my house and it worked just fine. Running the camera wires through the house and outside wasn't to bad. Now that the wires are ran I never have to replace a battery. I also like talking to people while there coming up to my residence with the app on my phone. That's very cool.

Title: Donât buy Swann camera system , total scam
Review: These cameras have been horrible . We first purchased because we had a problem with a neighbor doing drugs next-door. We put them up during a busy work time with whatever default settings they come with and they did not work the way they were advertised. In the beginning, we thought it was a user problem and we just needed to figure out how to adjust the settings. The cameras come with no instruction manual so my husband called Swann customer service and they walked him through Settings. The whole process took quite some time and afterwards the cameras did not function the way they were advertised .Night vision was so bad we had to install floodlights just to see at night. my husband called again and they walked him through the same settings he already did and they still did not work. He was frustrated and he said their customer service is worthless months went by and I started getting more and more irritated with how the cameras function, the box claims that it would have face recognition and tattoo recognition and we have learned no such setting , itâs absolutely 100 percent false advertising. I was tired of the cameras going off every two seconds when the wind blew, but not when someone walked up to the house . I called Swann myself. The guy for technical support was extremely rude and hard to understand . I told him my concerns and he said I need the model number off the camera to verify that you bought the right cameras for tattoo and face recognition even though I was holding the box, reading him off what they advertised. The only way to get the model number off the actual camera per tech support is from the actual camera hanging above our garage or on the roof. He sarcastically says if itâs too much trouble for you I canât help you. So I got on the ladder and zoomed in with my camera and gave him the model number. He proceeds to tell me that model number doesnât exist. I told him let me send you the picture. I did this and for the last month Iâve been getting the runaround from them via email. They originally acted like they would return the cameras but they have to troubleshoot first . Once we troubleshoot it, they basically said too bad take them back to the store if you want to return. By this time the window to return to Best Buy has expired and we are now stuck with them . Also the DVR the system came with will only keep playback for seven days max. no joke. We had a detective come by our house and ask if we could send him footage from a date nine days before because they think a murderer drove down our street at 4 in the morning . We couldnât help because although we pay for 30 days we only get seven days unless we upgrade our DVR per Swan tech. What a joke now they want us to upgrade our DVR with cameras that donât work.?!! Absolutely not !! My husband went to Best Buy tonight to see if they would at least give us store credit but because the return period has ended thanks to swanns run around we canât even get partial store credit. If your thinking of buying this system I would choose any thing other than this . The new ring floodlights function better, have a wider view , and they are user friendly . We will be replacing with Lorex or Ring soon. Total waste of money

Review: I love the quality of these cameras and I will likely buy more. Picture quality is great and motion detection is also excellent though it sometimes detects both snow and flies which I didn't sign up for. lolBuild quality is good. You have the option to turn on the lights for better colorful night vision; the option is in the app. I highly recommend them

Title: Phantom Pooper Caught!
Review: Add On cam to a Swann NVR-8580. I Recently seeded an area and needed proof that a neighbors outside cat was doing damage to my property. I suspected one cat but there was also two other cats marking behind it. After capturing footage, we addressed the issue with the cat owner #1 and everything has since been resolved. The Camera - Good add on. No issues with moisture. I initially had problems with the motion detection, you may need to adjust the NVR settings and phone app setting to check your camera(s) sensitivity and set up modes.

Review: Excellent Cameras. Use Cat 6 cables and you may need an electrican to mount the cameras and do the wiring. One of the cameras did not work...but I am sending that back for a replacement. Night vision is very good. Seller is also very responsive
