Title: Complete kit, great price, excellent value
Review: This maintenance kit contains everything you need to perform periodic maintenance on your generator (except oil) at a price about one-third of what you would pay to a dealer. I bought several, and they all came with spark plug wrenches and the correct two spark plugs. The included oil filter is the newer extended life version, which is slightly longer than older versions, but fits with no problem. You should be able to follow the included directions if you have even basic DIY skills.On my four year old 16KW generator, the only additional tools required are an oil filter wrench (such as the K-D Tools 3253 End Cap Oil Filter Wrench) and an adjustable wrench to remove an enclosure panel and open the oil drain line. Total time required is about 30 minutes. For less than the cost of one periodic maintenance service call from a professional, I can buy approximately a dozen of these kits.Recently Hurricane Irene knocked out our power for four days, but our generator automatically provided power to our whole house for four days straight. When the power came back on, I immediately performed the maintenance using one of these kits and now we are ready for the next outage. If you own one of these (expensive) stand-by generators, you already know how comforting they are when the power fails. There is a great deal of satisfaction in knowing how to maintain your generator so it will always be ready when needed.

Title: Everything needed for yearly service
Review: I ordered this for my parents siemens/Generac 17kw generator that’s about 10 years old. The local company had been charging them $400 for a visual inspection and an oil and filter change, what a rip off!! This has everything except the oil. Installed all that was included and adjusted the valves and it runs perfectly again. I’ll order this again next year when it’s due for service again. Excellent value and it’s all you need at a great price!

Title: Everything You Need For Yearly Tune-up
Review: I should modify the title a little bit. You still have to go to your local auto parts store and buy a couple of quarts of synthetic oil. But, everything else for your yearly tune-up is included, and at the best price I've found. In fact, the price was so good, I ordered three of these kits, so I'm good to go for the next two years. Included in the maintenance kit is an air filter, an oil filter, two spark plugs, a paper oil filler funnel, a wipe cloth, general instructions, and a stick-on maintenance reminder label for you to enter the date you did the maintenance and the next maintenance due date. The only thing missing from this particular kit is that worthless throw away sparkplug wrench that results in skinned knuckles and new swear words. Omitting it may have lowered the price a bit, and it certainly lowered my blood pressure. The simple solution, if you need one: While you're at the auto parts store buying your synthetic oil, buy a deep well 5/8" socket for your 3/8" drive ratchet. If you don't have a 3/8" drive ratchet, buy one of those, too, and schedule a trip to your nearest Sears store to buy a basic Craftsman socket set. Everyone should have one. Oh, and keep that expensive emergency generator tuned and ready to run with this great yearly maintenance kit from Generac.

Title: Has what is needed.
Review: This kit has all of the factory filters needed as well as a set of plugs. It also included a cloth for cleanup and a paper funnel to add the oil. The plugs included are RC14YC4 instead of the RC12YC that the generator came with but the only difference between them is that the RC14YC4 is a slightly hotter plug with a bigger gap. Doing some research showed that the RC14YC is the plug that is now used for this engine. Just regap them from 40 thousandths to 20 to 30 thousandths and you are good to go. The air and oil filters fit perfectly and the included cloth catches and cleans up the oil that spills when removing the old oil filter. I didn't bother with the paper funnel since I have a real one to use. My Gen also has a foam pre-filter and the kit doesn't have one of those but they can be washed and reused and that's what I did. The kit does not include any oil so be sure to pick up 2 quarts of 5W30 before you begin. and you should be good to go.

Title: Great Price, Fast Shipping with the Correct Spark Plugs
Review: A great way to perform routine maintenance on your genset at a very reasonable price. Parts were shipped relatively quickly from Northern Tool at the lowest price (19.99 which included shipping) Generac has made maintenance on it's genset motors very easy from air filter, draining the oil and replacing the plugs. Oh by the way the Campion RC14YC4 is correct for the 760/990 cc motors on outdoor standby generators (not those used in enclosed RV applications). Generac revised the "recommended plug" to this one from the RC12YC a while ago, hence it is included in their kits. Difference... the "14" is a bit hotter for easier starts, faster warm up, etc., with a larger center copper wire electrode. The gap on either plug is .040. The plug wrench is no longer included in the kit, but if you're doing the maintenance regularly, go out and buy an inexpensive ratchet & deep socket...makes the job a lot easier especially on the inboard plug.F
