Long range wireless sensors connect to the console up to 300 feet away. The main power source for the sensor is a solar panel, and the sensor array requires 3 AAA batteries (not included).

Title: Solid weather station, but too dependent on the cloud
Review: Overall, the device is easy to set up and provides the weather data that I want. The display is bright, easy to read, and covers everything from temperature and humidity to wind speed and precipitation. The app works fine enough, and it integrates with Weather Underground and WeatherCloud. However, my biggest frustration is that it requires an internet connection and only integrates with cloud servers. I have a local Home Assistant setup and would prefer to integrate this device directly, without relying on cloud services. Unfortunately, there’s no local API or offline integration, which limits its flexibility if you're running a smart home without constant internet access.Great product overall, but not ideal if you want full control over your data locally.

Title: First Weather Station, AMAZING!
Review: I recently purchased the Sainlogic 7-in-1 Wireless Weather Station, and I’m absolutely thrilled with its performance. This device has far exceeded my expectations, offering a range of features that have truly enhanced my weather tracking experience.First off, the 8.3-inch color display is a standout feature. It’s large, vibrant, and incredibly easy to read from any angle. This makes it convenient to monitor all relevant weather data at a glance, whether it’s indoor or outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, or UV levels. The information is well-organized and clearly presented, which I find very user-friendly.The sensors are also impressive. It combines a rain gauge, wind vane, high-speed anemometer, and more into one compact unit. The fact that it can connect wirelessly up to 300 feet away is fantastic, although, like most devices, it does face limitations due to walls and interference. Nevertheless, the solar panel power source is efficient, and the setup was straightforward. One of my favorite aspects is the WiFi connectivity, which allows me to stay connected to real-time weather conditions and forecasts. The integration with Weather Underground and WeatherCloud means I can view, analyze, and share data through beautifully customizable charts and graphs. The ability to track historical data via the Sainlogic app is a bonus, providing even more insight into weather patterns.Overall, this weather station offers exceptional value with its accurate data, sleek design, and comprehensive features. If you’re in the market for a reliable and advanced weather monitoring system, I highly recommend the Sainlogic 7-in-1 Wireless Weather Station. It has certainly made a difference in how I track and understand the weather around me.

Title: Good and Bad
Review: This is a second weather station for me as I have another brand at my main home and this unit was bought for a second location. It was on sale, hence my decision to try another brand. There’s good and bad to report. Assembly is easy, and supplied mounting hardware allows for many options, which is good. The unit powered up as expected and connected quickly and easily to the base unit following the quick start instructions in the manual—also good. I mounted the transmitter (external sensor unit) on a dock post about 50’ from my home where the base unit (display) is located. There were no issues with communication between the components, and the readings appear fairly accurate. I did adjust the barometric pressure differential a little to bring this reading in line with a nearby airport official reading. Adjustment to the pressure readout was a little frustrating, but is doable once one learns the proper sequence of buttons to press to change parameters. There is adjustment available for several readouts including temp, etc.The main problems I have are with the Wi-Fi configuration, connecting processes, and the Sainlogic app. I am fairly tech savvy, but I ran into issues when trying to get communication between the unit, Wi-Fi, and the Sainlogic app. The instructions are typically unclear and difficult to follow. I recommend establishing the connection via the web rather than through the app. Instructions for web connection can be found in the instruction manual following the instructions for making connections through the Sainlogic app. Here are a few tips learned through the process:First, make sure you have an account with Weatherunderground, then use your account to obtain a station name and key from WU for your station. This is not clear from the instructions. That is, the station name and key is assigned by WU and must then be programmed to the base unit. Copy the ID and key code carefully, making sure to pay attention to upper and lowercase and not confusing letters with like-appearing numbers. If you’re able to use copy/paste, this is best.Once you have your station ID and key, connect to the base unit display using the direct login through a browser . Make sure the Wi-Fi icon is flashing. Use a browser and the address provided in the instructions. Type in the base unit address into the browser exactly as it is in the instructions and hit enter.Once connected to the display unit, follow the prompts to link the base to your 2.5 GHz local router (you can scan for available networks by tapping the icon next to the fill box or type in your network name), choose your router network by name, then enter the password for your network . (You must use a 2.5 GHz band and NOT a 5 GHz) DON’T HIT SAVE YET Next, enter your station ID and station key as provided by WU in the boxes provided in the web interface. Again, be exact in transitioning information from WU page or use cut/paste. Now hit save.Your base unit should connect to your home Wi-Fi and begin transferring data from the outdoor sensors to WU soon thereafter. The Wi-Fi icon on the base display should stop flashing and the “e” symbol should appear above it on the display. It takes a few minutes, but you should soon see your station show up on the WU map, and you should be able to see the station data for the temp, wind, rain, etc. by tapping the icon for your station on the WU site/app.I downloaded the Sainlogic app, but it’s not that great. Basically, you can see the same data on it as is shown on WU, so if you use WU, the Sainlogic app is redundant. It would be nice if the data history charts and graphs shown in the app could be customized to provide custom time periods as I can on my other weather station’s app, but not so. It should be noted that there are several other apps that will pull data from your station. One only has to find an app and tell it your station name. I like the PWS app, only because it is easier to readFinally, I’m not quite impressed with the display either. It is large, but some data numbers are difficult to read at night due to the font color, and the display can’t be read at all in lighted conditions from more than a short distance. I typically prefer to use my phone to monitor the weather, so I can get by with the poor display visuals.

Review: The connection to the Weather Underground is useful as your instrument becomes Bart of a larger grouping in your area. Should improve the forecasting through ‘crowd’ data
