Title: Easy to follow recipes.
Review: This is a very nice water bath canning book. It is made well, quality paper, and room to write notes. It has lots of great recipes, and some are new ones that I had not heard of before. I have been canning for several years. It is very satisfying to can food and know the ingredients are healthier than what you can buy already prepared in the store. I am a label reader. If you look at the ingredient list on store bought jam, it is most usually sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. That makes me cringe. Start making your own and you will never turn back. I highly recommend this canning book. Thank you, Jackie Perkins

Title: Helpful, easy-to-follow recipes
Review: This is a great book for learning how to can using the waterbath method. There are pages of helpful hints, and the recipes are easy to follow. The writers of the book also have an active Facebook group, which is also extremely helpful for both beginners and advanced canners. I highly recommend this book to anyone who cans their food.

Title: Be warned: Not much in it for clean eaters
Review: Iâm still giving it 5 stars because it never claimed to be. Iâm not sure what I was thinking ordering it when this is my concern. There is sugar in nearly every recipe, but thatâs the world we live in and so this is par for the course for most people. Iâm not going to hold that against this book, but I wonât use it either.Aside from that, if I didnât care about sugar, it does appear to be well written and organized. Good variety of recipes. In everyday cooking I would just make swaps for ingredients I approve of, but Iâm new to canning and I know that canning tends to change flavors, so I donât dare take that kind of initiative yet.

Title: A perfect beginners book
Review: I received my copy yesterday and have read it cover to cover. Lots of simple, but delicious recipes. I really like the blank pages at the end of the book so that I can write down all the screen shots of the recipes I have taken. I'm a newbie to the canning world and I'm so thankful that I found this fb group. I have learned so much, basically everything from this group. There are a lot of very experienced canners that are always willing to answer questions and give tried and true tips.I recommend this book to anyone that would like to give canning a try.Happy Canning

Review: I absolutely love this close knit Facebook group and was thrilled to be able to purchase a book the admins created for us (& for you). I have used a bunch of these recipes already (previous to them making it into the book for publishing) and will continue. I will be buying a second book for my dad as a Fatherâs Day gift as he was the one who got me into canning at the age of 21/22 and bought me my first preserves book (Jean paré).Since that one is fairly outdated on methods and FAQ I have been looking forward to this new book to update my methods and processing times, as well as bring new recipes into the home!I love everything about the simplified layout, explanation and legibility of the recipes (great for those who need glasses). I especially love the FAQ and the intro pages of how to get started and what to be aware of!! Thank you for debunking the great botulism worry lolMy only two critiques are that I wish the inside photos were coloured and that the pages were more durable against fluids. But perhaps this is only because this is the first book they have published and are waiting to see the response they get! I know it would cost us a little bit more but I think it would be worth it.Canât wait for the following book(s)!!!!!

Review: As a beginner to canning, this book is a great resource. Helpful tips at the start, and a good number of easy to follow recipes using basic pantry ingredients.I often find US cookbooks challenging with the consistent need to convert lbs/oz to kgs/grams and quarts/pints to litres/mls. There's a chart at the start of this book though, that provides 1 to 1 conversions for all of these, which is useful.
