Title: Well made and easy to use.
Review: Rolls up the garden hose easily but you need to help it a little by pulling in the hose so that you are not reeling in the whole length of the hose. Well made.

Title: Excellent hose reel butâ¦
Review: Iâve included a video of how to fix a slight design issue concerning reinforced sleeved hoses. Once you get past that minor hiccup itâs a fantastic hose reel. If the hose you are using does not have a sleeved reinforced end, you will not have an issue. It rolls up very smoothly and does a great job. It made short work of a heavy 80 foot hose. Itâs also very well built. However, if youâre using a high-quality hose, you will not be able to get anywhere near 200 feet on there. Iâve included a picture of my hose completely rolled up. Itâs 80 feet long and there might be room on that reel for another 20 feet. But if youâre using a very thin hose, or collapsible flat hose, Iâm sure you could get 200 feet on there.

Title: Hose Reel
Review: I was hoping this hose reel would work for me. It did not hold 200' of 5/8" hose. It held about 170'. Another thing to consider is the weight of your hose. Mine were two of the Costco 5/8" x 100' garden hose for a total length of 200' and are heavy. More than 100' will be more difficult to wind for us older folks. It is well made and easy to hookup. I would recommend this reel for shorter and smaller size hose.

Title: Well built
Review: For $100 I was extremely impressed. Use this reel for my pressure wash business for 200' 5/8" softwash hose and love it.Buying two more as we speak for my other lines I have on my rig. Well built, powder coated professionally, even though I painted it black, which looks amazing.5 stars definitely recommend for home or a business application.

Title: good quality
Review: I was impressed by how high quality this thing feels. It works really well and seems like it will last a long time. I like that it's made of metal and not plastic will get junky after a few years in the sun.

Title: Good reel for the money.
Review: This was the least expensive wall-mount garden hose reel I could find that conformed to my specifications. I wanted a sturdy metal reel that would hold a lot of hose because I have only one hose bib and often have to pull 150' of 5/8" hose to reach areas in the garden around the other side of the house. I also had the old reel mounted on a pivoting post (made out of old well pipe and scrap lumber, but that's another story) and to preserve this system I needed to bolt the new reel to a chunk of vertical 2 by 10 about two feet long. I prefer this post arrangement because it allows the aforementioned swivel and because it puts the reel a few feet from the house, whereas a wall-mounted reel inevitably drips and sprays right up against the house, which is bad for many reasons. Also, given standard 16" wall stud spacing in USA, mounting a 14" hose reel baseplate across two studs often requires a scab board affixed to the exterior wall.First positive, this reel adapts well to different mounting arrangements because the large, heavy-gauge back plate, which comes with 8 pre-drilled mounting holes, can be drilled in other positions if the stock holes don't fit your mounting profile.Second positive, the reel turns smoothly and has a good wide drum area.Third positive, the rotary union is tight and leak-free (it's only been two weeks, but if you read the reviews, a lot of the cheaper reels leak right out of the box).Sole possible negative, the reel flanges of this reel are stamped and spoked, which means that the inside surface looks like it could wear and fray the hose over the long run, at least in comparison with the solid, spreading flanges of some (much) more expensive reels. On my reel, these spokes appear finished and smooth, so I hope it won't cause trouble.First question, I haven't found the spec for replacement O-rings for said rotary union. I may yet hear from the seller on this.Second question, and this is not limited to this brand, the hose drum core diameter is pretty small, causing the inner windings of hose to be tighter than is good for the hose material and water flow. If manufacturers would offer a hose drum of, say, 8" core diameter, we would lose only a few feet of small inner windings and the hose would be less stressed.

Title: Very Solid
Review: Forget about the plastic cheap ones, invest on one of this, I regret why I waited so long to buy this one. I am glad that I spent time researching for a solid one that does not leaks. I recommend.

Title: Design flaws
Review: 1) I purchased 5 of these because the reviews seemed positive. Sadly, every single one leaks after unwinding and rewinding the hose back up a few times. This is because the unit's brass fittings wiggle loose no matter how many times I remove the hoses and take everything apart to tighten. This process is a pain and time consuming. Try doing it over and over with 6 of these and you may understand my frustration. 2) A quality hose line with a decent female fitting will not attach to the frame's male fitting because of the tight bend leading to the male threaded part on the unit. There is a notch cut out on the core cylinder to allow for the hose fitting, but it's not big enough to do the job it is supposed to do. So, your only option to attach a lead line other than the cheap, short, small diameter one that comes with it, is to buy another cheap, but longer and wider diameter lead line that probably won't hold up and may leak at the connection. 3)Because the unit does not swivel, you can only unwind and wind in a straight line. 4) The unit falls over when unwinding or rewinging unless you bolt or screw down to a heavy, heavy, heavy base, or drive u shaped spikes into the ground over the legs to help keep it from flipping over and in one place which means you can't move it somewhere else by even a few inches. After spending close to $600 to tidy up the good quality hoses in my yard, I am more than disappointed in this winder. I expected a great deal more at this price point. A quality hose winder would be a blessing, but this one has serious design flaws that can only be overcome by redesigning the unit with the above problems in mind. So now I am stuck with these winders around my yard and miles of unwound hoses because I just gave up. When time permits, I will have to search for a better solution.

Review: The item appears to be a good quality with good metalwork and paint. The connecting hose is a male to female item approx 2 meters long. The hose will screw into either end of reel, both input and output sides. The problem is that the hose fittings fit nothing else. They are a thread of their own and donât fit taps or any hose or attachment . Also leaks more water than it carryâs, this is heading for a speedy return.

Review: We had a plastic model of hose reel which for the most part is everything one would need in a hose reel. However it has a weak point in the design of the water entry into the reel, the reel must be able to spin while the feed hose connection remains stationary. After time the water pressure blew out the poorly designed plastic fitting. I made a retainer to strengthen it but then it developed a leak within the reel to garden hose tube. This unit has not only steel stand and reel, but a solid brass swivel assembly for feed hose to reel that should never fail, other than the O ring seals needing replacement; unit is well worth the cost!
