Title: Awesome hot chocolate maker!
Review: Want hot chocolate without all the fuss, this is a great gift for those who love hot cocoa! I love the Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets - you can put them with milk or water and they are really good, simple, hot chocolate - and this little Nostalgia Retro Frother will make either! Slide the level to the left and it heats and froths, slide it to the right and it just whips/froths it up again without the heat. Makes 4 cups. Quick and easy clean up as well - wash, rinse, dry. We had one similar to this for the past 10 years before it finally gave out - so glad we were able to find this one since all the other hot chocolate makers are super expensive. Also love that this one is red and looks "Christmasy."

Review: I really like this little machine! It makes great hot chocolate. I prefer using milk and it doesn’t overheat it at all which I was concerned about. The froth was amazing the first two times I used the machine and then after that it seemed to be a bit less frothy, but still ok. The one thing I don’t like is the hot chocolate sticks to the silver plate on bottom and you really have to scrub it off. Aside from that it’s easy to use and easy to clean. I made some for a event and put it into a carafe to stay hot and everyone said it was the best hot chocolate they’d ever had (I used whole milk and Ghirardelli hot cocoa powder)

Title: Good little appliance
Review: I bought this one because I had another one before but not the same name brand and it stopped working so I figured I would try this one. It’s pretty loud when in use but it does what it’s supposed to. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have an automatic shut off when the beverage is hot enough and ready to consume like my older one did. But all and all it’s a handy little appliance.

Title: Just buy it!
Review: I'm confused by this product only have 4.3 stars. I would give it 10 if I could! We have discovered cocoa and so we use this baby two to three times per day and it works perfectly every time! I thought because it was just a very basic machine that it wouldn't work wonderful but I was wrong. It heats quickly and never leaves clumps in the powder (sometimes we add other powders such as collagen) and never an issue. It is simple but does exactly what we need and has lasted us a long time now. We kept thinking because of how little we paid for it that it wouldn't last so long but it's still going strong! Love it! The only tiny nit picky thing we would suggest is a way for the top to come apart for easier cleaning, however, maybe that would cause other problems like leaks. If you're hesitating just buy it - you'll thank me later. I'm giving one of these with raw cocoa for Christmas gifts this year!

Title: Great until it melted...
Review: I had one of these 20 years ago. Back then, the top didn't come off and they were super hard to clean. I bought this one because we lost the old one in a move long ago. It was GREAT the first two times I used it. But on the third time, after about 8 or 9 minutes, I started smelling "burning plastic." I was in the other room (about 8 feet away with an open door) and ran out to unplug it. I couldn't figure out what was burning. I thought at first it hadn't mixed the chocolate well and some had ended up on the heating plate.I was wrong.I emptied the hot chocolate (which was way hotter than usual), then added cold water to the pitcher so I could cool down the hot plate. While doing that, I happened to notice the frother blade was loose. When I wiggled it a bit, the hardware holding it in on the underside fell off into the sink. I realized then that the plastic around that had melted and burned.I loved it while it lasted. They tell you not to keep it on more than 15 minutes, and I would advise far less. The first two times I used it, it took about 12 minutes to heat my hot chocolate to a comfortable, drinkable level. But the third, after 8 minutes, it was way too hot and the underside melted.I'm sure this is an infrequent thing, as the reviews are still great. But take this review as a cautionary tale to be careful with it. Even if you're following the directions to the letter...things can go wrong.

Review: This shorted out our electricity on first use. Foolishly perhaps, we assumed if Amazon were selling it within the U.K., the chocolate frother must be compatible with U.K. vaultage. This was decidedly not the case. The air smells like burnt plastic and the chocolate maker is broken after only seconds of use. Avoid.
