True success means making the best, the most affordable. That's been our aim - that's our hallmark! Given Madescolabs' one-year full replacement guarantee - it is no surprise fine restaurants specifically request the Madesco Cold Brew Coffee Strainer Pouch to render an exquisite cold brew ice coffee (or coffee concentrate) with smooth flavor, rich undertones and side-step the bitterness associated with coffee beans assaulted by scalding water. For a mellow flavor with hints of caramel choose just the right bean, medium grind. Pour some cold-brew onto ice for a refreshing pick-me-up. Or steep an extra-strong batch for concentrate to add to frothy steamed milk for an exceedingly smooth cappuccino. Keep some on-hand in your fridge and dilute for a refreshing beverage - hot or cold. Add to ice cream, whipped cream, icings, Mexican mole, barbecue sauce, chili, any other dishes looking for a touch of "cold brew coffee magic." Just spoon a quality, medium-grind coffee, into the coffee pouch, making sure all the coffee settles into the pouch's bottom. Holding the mouth of your pouch above your brewing container, slowly pour cool fresh water into the pouch, thoroughly saturating the medium-grind coffee. Pull the pouch draw strings to close and immerse the portion of the pouch holding the coffee below the water level. Use the lid of your container to hold the pouch opening above water (or you can hang the pouch top outside the container altogether). Find something to do for 12 hours and let the magic take place. No need to shake or stir the water once the coffee is saturated - nature's dispersive forces do all the mixing for you (a little science here). Once made, store your cold brew in the refrigerator - it really does store marvelously - keeping a lid on it to avoid fridge smells and pesky oxygen. Use in recipes, beverages or make a hot toddy!
Each pouch/filter makes a gallon of delicious cold-brew coffee. Specifically tailored for cold coffee brewing (not a converted nut-milk bag as we've found nutmilk bags' filtering properties don't optimally filter coffee grounds). Affordable, durable and reusable. Natural cotton blend, no bleaching, no harmful chemicals.
3 FREE BONUS BOOKS! - Product packaging provides you with a link to Madescolabs to download 3 exclusive Madesco's Cooking With Cold Brew Coffee ebooks complete with over 100 cooking and beverage recipes, "how-to's" and secret tips from the Madesco cold brew pros.
Use one filter as the other dries. Or use in tandem for larger quantities! Use your favorite quality coffee. Cold brewed coffee lasts a long time in the fridge so there's less cleanup and less waste. Never throw out another stale pot of coffee!
Great for travel - throw in suitcase. Shaped to accommodate most jars and pitchers 6" x 10".
Madesco - synonymous with "cold-brew coffee" among the pros. Versatile, durable and guaranteed for a year - use one to make to make gallon-sized delicious cold brewed coffee. Also, you can brew with one while the other dries.

Title: Great product!
Review: These work great! I started making cold brew coffee by putting grounds and water in a mason jar and then pouring it through a normal coffee filter (painfully slow) or pouring it through one of the metal mesh Keurig filters (a little faster, but you end up with some of the fine grounds in the coffee). These filter bags are great. I still use a mason jar, but I add the grounds to the bag, let it sit in water in the mason jar on the counter overnight, then take the bag out, squeeze the liquid out, empty it, and rinse it. Then I have great cold brew coffee to drink, and what I don't drink gets sealed in the jar and put in the refrigerator. I posted a question on Amazon before buying and the seller replied within a day. That was a good sign and I'm happy I bought them. I wanted to know if you get the residue at the bottom of the coffee like the mesh filters. They said no and they were right! No grounds, or even fine residue at the bottom of the jar. I would recommend these. They are cheap and make cold brewing easy.

Title: Great time saver compared to my old method of cold brewing!
Review: Thank you Madesco Labs for this wonderful, time-saving product! Prior to purchasing this I was spending way too much time trying to make my cold-brew coffee. The problem was in the straining, I was going through a lot of cheese cloth, multiple regular coffee filters and way too much time trying to get rid of a lot of sediment in the bottom of the jar. The 1/2 Gallon Cold Brew Coffee Filter Pouches have taken care of that problem and now all I have to do is pull the bag out of the jar and while there is a tiny bit of sediment in the bottom it is not enough to worry about. When I first started using the Filter Pouch in January 2017, I was using an 80oz pickle jar and the mouth of the pouch fit around the rim of the jar making it very easy to add the coffee. It also made it easy to pour the water over the grounds and I didn't have to tie the bag shut, I just left it around the rim and put the lid on over it, couldn't be easier. However, I went through the coffee fast enough that I wanted to make a larger batch, so now I am using an iced tea jar with the spigot on the bottom and screw on lid which also has a pour spout in it. Unfortunately the bag will not fit the rim of this larger jar so it is not quite as easy to fill with grounds and to add the water, but, I am willing to deal with the minor inconveniences to go from a 72 ounce batch to 96 ounces. I didn't take any stars off my review because it was my choice to go make the larger batch.Of course there are widely varying personal tastes where coffee is concerned and I use both whole bean coffee that I grind myself, as well as my old stand-by Yuban ground coffee. So far with either coffee I have found that for the 80 oz pickle jar I was using 1-1/2 cups of ground coffee with 72 ounces of water. Using the gallon iced tea jar I am using 2 cups of ground coffee and 96 ounces of water and with either batch it makes a perfect cup for me. When my wife heats hers up she adds water to make it a bit milder and that works great. We both like that there is so much less acid in the cold brewed coffee making it smoother and more enjoyable whether drinking it hot or iced.Perhaps the biggest plus with these is the money you can save not having to buy iced or hot coffee from the name brand, over priced coffee joints that serve crappy tasting coffee, IMHO! Make it the way you like it.

Title: Awesome product! Easiest way to cold brew coffee!!
Review: I L-O-V-E cold brewed coffee! I've been making it for years with an arduous process of soaking the grinds, draining with a coarse strainer, then draining again through coffee filters, frequently having to change the filter due to the coffee I use (it's ground on the finer side). It took FOREVER! But the payoff was so good, I was willing to do this weekly. I bought the Toddy system which helped, but again the finely ground coffee would clog the filter and I'd have to dump the brew into a pot, rinse the filter, and start again. Still worth it for the amazing coffee, but also a pain. With these brew bags, that annoying process is OVER! I'm thrilled! I can place the bag over the carafe, add the grinds and water, let it sit overnight and viola! I have amazing coffee waiting for me in the morning without the draining, dripping, and filter changing! When I'm out of coffee, I just grab the bag and do it again. It takes no time at all. I can manage to set it up before going to work even though I'm always running late! I've also made bigger batches in a pot and it works just as well. Just make sure to tie the chords around the top if fully submerging the bag. (The bag fell all the way in first time around and some grinds escaped. Not a major problem and easy to avoid.)This product works as expected and has been a huge time saver for a major cold brew coffee lover!! I used to stop cold brewing once iced coffee season was over due to the arduous filtration process, but may decide to heat my cold brewed coffee this winter since the process is so easy! If you love cold brewed coffee, you won't regret buying these inexpensive, awesome bags!

Title: Great for Cold Brewing at Home
Review: I've used these bags about 3-5 times, so 2-3 times per bag. They work great for making at home cold brew coffee (been buying Cafe Bustelo coffee here on Amazon, which I also recommend). I don't personally care about the staining...I'm using it to make coffee, not displaying it, staining is a common sense by-product of the process. It would be nice if the string was slightly thicker, it can be hard to untie. Also my bags never fully close, therefore there are some grounds at the bottom of my coffee. It's not enough to truly bother me, but it is worth mentioning. Overall, a good buy for the price that works more than adequately for my use.

Review: *10 month update*Still works just as well as when I got them, I boil them after each use but as you can see they have stained from all the usage but it doesn't matter at all.So simple to make cold brew compared to what I did previously. For months I would just put the coffee grounds straight into the water and have to spend lots of time filtering it out with a coffee filter over my french press. The secret to not having any sediment in your coffee is not to disturb the jug while brewing and when it's done, take the bag out quickly and put into a bowl or the sink. The sediment comes out if you let the bag drip back into the jug or worse of all, squeeze the coffee bag into the jug.I'm sure these could be made for next to nothing if you have a sewing machine, the drawstrings are useless and I just use a chip bag clip to close it anyway.

Review: Have had these for a few months, they're made from high quality material and filter out coarsely ground coffee quite well. They give you two but I've only needed to use one as of yet, I can imagine I'll have the set for quite a while. A definite must if you're making your own cold brew.

Review: They left a little bit of mud at the bottom of the bucket I used but it was a negligible amount. Use with coarser grinds than you would normally for cold brew. Was able to reuse them multiple times before they got lost in the drawers

Review: I used these for gold brew coffee and they were excellent. Using the same coffee I made three jars of cold brew. Used two of these bags and one nylon bag from another supplier. There was a definite difference! These bags made a much cleaner brew. I am now ordering a second set.

Review: Received item on time, in great condition. Bags as described, cotton with drawstring. Directions included for first use & ongoing maintenance simple & clear. Love that there are two bags, as I've dedicated one for coffee and tea. The bags seem well made, durable and leave no grinds or leaves in the brew. Expect some discolouration after use but I don't find it affects the flavour. Great buy 🙂
