“Quinn explores the allures and idiosyncrasies of aristocratic life with wit and charm reminiscent of Jane Austen. This intelligent romance gets the series off to a promising start.” —Publishers Weekly
In this captivating new Regency trilogy perfect for Bridgerton fans, bestselling author Ella Quinn picks up where her beloved Worthingtons series left off, as a charming and infamous rake falls for a steadfast and dazzling woman…
Handsome, rakish, incorrigibly flirtatious—Fredrick, Lord Littleton, is notorious. Lady Adeline Wivenly is resolved to keep him at arm’s length during her first Season—until she overhears another woman’s plot to trick him into marriage. Even a rogue is undeserving of such deception, and Adeline feels obliged to warn him—only to find herself perilously attracted . . .
In the past, Littleton’s charm nearly got him leg-shackled to the wrong woman. Now he’s positive he’s found the right one, for Adeline is everything he wants and needs in a wife. Her sense of justice is so strong she agrees to help him despite her mistrust. But can the ton’s most elusive lord convince the lady he is finally serious about marriage—as long as she will be his bride?
Praise for Ella Quinn’s Believe in Me
“Quinn continues to delight with the surprising adventures of the Worthington family. Fans of Lisa Kleypas and Julia Quinn will enjoy this family.”

Title: Ella Quinn Has Written a Great Historical Romance
Review: Great characters, excellent settings in the Regency period of England. Nice conflict and plot twists, and a couple of bona fide bad guys who, if God is Just, will get their comeuppance. But I ain't sayin' what ' appens, yer Ladyship. You just hafta read the book..Oh... Good news. The couple gets together early enough that we are able to attend the Season, their wedding, the parties, and make a solid transition with them into married life.Did I mention bad guys? A full on rake who's scheming to ruin the leading lady so she has to marry the blackguard. And besides him, there's a bloody slaver keeping illegal human cargo in England, plus a couple of socialite chits trying to compromise our leading man so he has to marry one of them.Well.. It's a Regency, so Quinn works it all out in the end. But getting there is a jolly good ride. So, ladies, grab your gloves and curicles, meet the gentlemen at their coaches and let's roll through the park to greet Polite Society. The ices at Gunter's afterward are on me.

Title: A delightful love story!
Review: âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸A delightful love story! We discover in this novel not to judge a book (or rather a rake) by its cover! Frits had made a mistake last season but learned his lesson well. However he had to pay for the repercussions of his actions in ways he hadnât anticipated. I liked his fortitude. He made mistakes but he owned them. His persistence in Adeline was heartwarming. He was thoughtful of her and was genuinely interested in her as a person. Adeline is in her first season and is young and extremely naive. At some points she seemed a little too sheltered and inexperienced. She was so young and uncertain that it was hard for me to cheer for her at times. However, about halfway in I saw her backbone through her actions and I really liked her spunk! The villain in the story was detestable and very well written. Through scenes entirely dedicated to him you see what a horrible man he really is and how well he hid it. There was another villain in this story, slavery. I got a glimpse of the situation of slavery in that era. It was eye opening. There was a parallel plot on this issue that was enlightening and deepened the story.I really wanted to see the couple get their happy ending. There were times in the first part of the book that I felt could have moved at a faster pace. However, their journey was sweet and the storyline was enjoyable. The one thing I loved about this authorâs other series was the humor sprinkled in the books. I found that lacking here. Overall, it was a delightful read. It took me just a little while to get fully invested, yet when I did I throughly enjoyed it. A fun read and I will be looking forward to the next one.

Title: I like it a lot
Review: I liked that this story was more stilted and slow than what most authors who dabble in Regency Romances write. I always felt like the instantly sexual/ crazy-in-love historical romances suspended my suspension of disbelief. Fritz and Adeline's romance felt natural and even realistic-like. I liked that she showed awareness that marriege was a big decision (unlike other heroines). While I appreciate slowness through most of the book, the end of the story felt too slow. Also, the slave storyline felt out of place and only there to serve as a plot device to justify Adeline finally trusting him (and prove they are good people). It cheapened the realness of the story, I mean, it would not be a stretch to say they stumbled into slavery in London. The storyline was disconnected, so much so that it could be easily taken out and it showed. Overall, I was pleasently surprised.

Title: So Sad
Review: This book was well written with a slow sweet romance development between the main characters. So that said, why did they have to have progressively more graphic sex scenes about the peripheral character? The plot was great, made me smile. There was no warning in the reviews that I saw. So if like this sort of soft porn, you will enjoy. I could not finish. Just so you know.

Title: A long wooing story
Review: Will he be able to win her trust before it is too late ...This tale is a slow-burn romance as even if Frits recognizes from the beginning Adeline to be the right lady for him, he has his work cut out at his feet because of his previous yearâs behavior. He is a man easily smitten so when twice in a row he finds himself drawn to a debutante, it is obvious the previous season didnât taught him much. But when he first was attracted to a diamond of the first water lady, here he finds his new objet of desire very beautiful when she is only pretty in the eyes of the others.Up to him to show her he can be someone she can relate on and not the rake she came to believe he is.Frits knows he acted badly when he left, the lady he had risen hope for a possible match between them, without a word of explanation. A very wrong move when now his new lady love is friend from said abandoned miss. Why he will have to work twice as harder to prove Adeline he is more than the rake she supposed he is.Adeline is very naive, instantly siding her friend when she forgets everyone is two sides of a coin. Why she chastises herself each time she enjoys her time with Frits. Each new encounter showing she has more in common with him than her other prospect, but as she has already labeled him as not suitable, she is also blind to every evidence her other suitor is far from perfect. This is a tale of few actions as the author follows her characters from ballroom to daily calls, Park rides and visits at Gunther ...In this retailing of the Haute tonâs day-to-day life with its schemings and intrigues, Mrs Ella Quinn takes her time establishing her many protagonists and their games with each others. Why at time, I skipped some pages to go a bit faster in the plot as this book was a long wooing story even if the heroine was not aware of it, very naive of her.3.75 rounded up to 4 stars.I was granted an advance copy by the publisher Kensington. Here is my true and unbiased opinion.

Review: This is a wonderfully crafted first book in this promising series. All the characters in this steamy at times plot, are brilliantly portrayed. This is a story that you will be captivated by, and will enjoy greatly.

Review: This is less in the way of a Bridgerton/ Julia Quinn but more in the vein of Georgette Heyer or Austen.Everything was done very well and the characters were well rounded but I honestly felt there was something missing that I can't put my finger on.It was sweet and very detailed and I enjoyed the courtship but Frits was a little bland for me as a romantic hero.In addition the "scandal" with Dorie was a whole lot of nothing.
