Title: Best backpack for the price. LOVE IT
Review: I bought the older style black and grey one over a year ago. I have taken it to the Smokies, Maui, kayaking, my local beach, sloughing in the Everglades, even just as a overnight bag. It's great the pockets are convenient and useful. It's not too too much space either, which is nice because I would fill it! I dont use the water pack but I do use the pocket to stuff more things in. You can fit a lot in this booger. Family of 4, 2 young kids, hiking in the Smokies, we only needed this bag and our second backpack was just for holding some extras like raincoats, though I really could have packed it all in one bag. I really like how the bottom outside pocket partially clips off and you can use it to strap in more stuff like a towel or raincoat. I usually use the clips to loop through and hold my flipflops at the beach, you can easily clip on 4+ flip flops. I like the raincover it has. I also use that pocket to store a little tote bag for extra things along the way. This bag had been embedded with beach sand, and the zippers and everything still work fine. They are a little tight but that's at the cost of them bring nearly water-resistant and having the flap to keep out water. If you flip it up before you zip, it zips just fine. Ive been caught in rain without using the cover and the inside was dry. We've set this down in mud and it cleans right off. I've never full on washed it, but it repells dirt like a champ. Its been in volcanic and clay mud, no problem, still looks like new. No rips or tears. It fits great. I'll have it loaded down with 3 water bottles, plus all my other junk, and it's remarkably still comfortable and disperses the weight well. My 9 year old has used it on field trips too so its adjustable to fit a child as well. It doesnt sag, and stays tight to form. The straps around the neck and shoulder were good. I have back and shoulder issues so backpacks tend to dig into my neck or sit too low on my back, this one is perfect. Its a good carry-on bag, or day pack. All around a good backpack. I have zero complaints. Eventually I want to buy one for each of us (mostly to lighten my own load because it CAN fit everything). Love it, I'm always finding reasons to use it instead of my purse lol

Title: Great pack with nice features
Review: I recently purchased this pack as a smaller alternative (18L) to my (28L) day pack. After looking over several major brands I decided to purchase the Teton Sports pack as it had the included hydration bladder, seemed solidly built, and was quite affordable for the price. The pack arrived in under a week. I live near the Finger Lakes and Adirondacks in NY so I hike in different terrain and in all seasons. These are the PROS for me: Sturdy nylon construction and good zippers. The outer pocket has space to tuck items between it and the main body. It has a waist strap (non load-bearing but good for stability) in addition to the chest strap. I like smaller pockets for smaller things and larger compartments for bigger items as opposed to the one bag type. The built in rain cover is a great plus-if you hike in NY you will use it! I used it right away on a rainy January hike of 5 miles. The hydration bladder is well made and the pack has dual ports for the drinking tube left or right whatever you prefer. The compartment for the bladder has extra room for a few items as well. I attached ziptie loops to the top holes of the bladder for ease in handling. The center loop is held in place by a Velcro strap inside the compartment. I wouldn't try hanging it with the bladder full by this. It's not made for that. So, I add ziptie loops. It has all the quality you would expect to see in a pack twice or more the price. CONS: There really isn't any. I needed a smaller pack for shorter hikes and this pack fits the bill. They even included a camping and backpacking checklist!Right now in this pack for shorter (3-6 mi.) winter hikes I have:Side PocketsTP and tissuesCompass and whistle (There is also a built in whistle on the chest strap)Snack bag & hand warmersMain CompartmentSpare knit hatSpare glovesSpare L.S. nylon shirtPack able puffy vestAce bandage wrapDitty bag with 1st. aid kit, knife, lighter, tick kit, headlamp, pen and paperBladder Compartment2L hydration bladder (filled)Tinder and fire starter bundleThat is very respectable in a pack that size! And you have the mesh side pockets, bungie cord and a couple of external loopsThis pack fits my needs perfectly.. The quality, features, color choices, and price make this a no brainer!

Review: My only complaint is that the main compartment's zipper is hard to open & close because the flap over it is so stiff. Otherwise, it's holding up well and seems to be a great pack for fit and quality.
