Title: Perfect
Review: I needed a full suit for PDF and this works well. it is not to the caliber of Adobe but right up there. It can do a lot of things, it let you edit PDFs, sign, and create forms. I really enjoy using it.The license is for a year, I plan on renewing it if it is cheaper than Adobe as it provide almost the same features. Overall, I really recommend this software.

Title: Fastest install ever
Review: I recently bought myself a new laptop and have been in the process of adding software that I need. I have a PDF writer on my other laptop but it don't seem like I will be able to transfer it over. I went looking for alternatives and this one popped up, so I thought I would give it a try. For starters this was the easiest and quickest software install I have ever done. It literally took less than 2 minutes, including creating an account to go with it. The software opened fast and has pretty much all the features of my other PDF writer and is even a little bit more intuitive to use. It's a one year license which makes it much a cheaper investment to get started and if I still like it at renewal time it won't be expensive to keep using it.

Title: Not bad but not the same as Adobe Acrobat
Review: PDF Extra has a number of features which work the same way they do with Adobe Acrobat; some other features are better implemented in Acrobat but perhaps that is because it is what I am used to. The one feature so far that I cannot seem to find in PDF Extra is the ability to crop pages which I use frequently. The feature could be somewhere in the application but the other part that is very lacking is the lack of a user guide. There is a webpage you can go to and then skim through the scenarios displayed trying to find the one that may match what you are attempting to do. If that does not work, you will need to watch little videos to see if perhaps the content is in one of those. I would much rather see a user guide which is searchable for all the features in the software.

Title: Good PDF program that has a lot of features
Review: If you are doing a lot of office work that requires digital signatures or proof of viewing, this PDF Extra works really nice. The Ultimate Edition seems on par with Adobe in terms of features and I don't see much difference in how it works. There are a lot of editing features, depending on how the PDF was created, that can enable certain things to work. Editing text, for instance, has to be an original format when a PDF was created. So you can edit most invoices or documents that were generated that way, while others that were converted, the text is not a font. But its a good feature to have. In addition you also can bring in high resolution artwork, around 300 dpi, maybe more. That said, there is no cropping feature, which I think should be part of this type of work. You can, however, resize art or text boxes and move them around. Organizing pages is easy as moving them in the order you want. So this package is a one year license for the Ultimate at a reasonable price compared to the main brand. If you need a PDF program, I would certainly consider this as a good alternative.

Title: Solid PDF creator/editor for the price point
Review: PDF extra ultimate is a decent little PDF editor for the price point. For my work, I have to often use Adobe Acrobat Pro which is costly (around $240 per year), so I was interested to try this product and see what it does at this price point.This PDF software has all the basic functions needed to create simple PDFs. I was easily able to create PDF files from images, other documents, and even blank PDFs which I was able to add text and markup to.It was not obvious to me how to change the font style or size of text I was adding, but I figured out that you have to click "Show Editing Tools" which will open up a side panel which lets you change the attributes. Other than that, the interface was very easy to use and understand (even without reading instructions).This software is lightweight. Installation was easy. It does lack several of the tools found in Adobe Acrobat Pro, such as the form wizard (which I do use a lot for my work). There is a text field tool which you can use from within the software itself, but it only behaves as a text input in this software. If you save the file and open it in Acrobat Reader DC, then the box just acts as a box (which can be dragged around for some reason) but input is not allowed. So it's not software that you could use to create and distribute PDF forms. Also if you're opening documents that contain digital signatures, this product does not use the Adobe Approved Trust List, so you will need to manually add the certificate root to your trust list to validate signatures. This software will let you sign a document, but you can only draw, type, or use an image of a signature. Using digital certificates is not a function of this software, and you cannot create a digital signature block.So for professionals the need to do heavy PDF work, this software might not have enough features. But for the home user that wants to create flat PDFs, this software is more affordable than other software, is easy to use, and has the most important features. I recently had to submit some claims to a pet insurance company for my dogs, and this software made it easy to convert the invoice photos I took with my phone into a PDF. I just put the images on my computer, opened this software, and told it to make a PDF from images. Then I selected the images and I could even choose what order I wanted them in. Doing this was a breeze, and it felt more user-friendly than doing the same thing in Acrobat Pro.Overall, I like this software very much. It's great for creating simple PDFs and meets the needs of most home users. For professionals that need advanced PDF features, I recommend Acrobat Pro. If my mom needed to create PDFs, I would recommend this software to her for sure.

Title: Impressive OCR conversion to text for the price
Review: I was hoping to use this product for two use cases:One is to edit guitar tab pdfs which can have lots of text/images interspersed as well as side bars and multiple columns. I am quite happy with the performance for this, although surprised that there is no "undo" functionality when editing text.The second is to convert scanned PDF's to editable documents (e.g. Word). My little and old document-fed scanner is supposed to do OCR but really does not. I was really impressed with the capability on this task, even with scanned book pages that have side bars, embedded graphics, and stylized color/graphic headings.Overall I am quite pleased with this product, but one star off for no "Undo"
