Karina is on the run again; this time, she landed in Forest Falls. Tired of running and determined to find a place to call home, Karina plants roots in this small town. What she didn’t anticipate was pissing off her hot, grumpy next-door neighbor and starting a war that she refused to lose.
The last thing she needs is to fall for him, or anyone for that matter, but when her life is in danger, she has no choice but to seek safety from the broody jerk next door. Karina has sworn off relationships, wounded by her past, but when she sees a softer side of the man protecting her, there’s a chance that destiny may have intervened on her behalf.
Maverick doesn’t do friendships, and he certainly doesn’t do relationships. Taking care of his little sister, Harper, and elderly grandmother is his only priority. When the loud, obnoxious, and insanely irresistible new neighbor moves in, the walls he kept around his heart slowly fall apart. When she reveals the vulnerable, tragic story of why she’s in Forest Falls, keeping her safe becomes his only focus. Maverick can’t deny there’s something special about her; she may be the only one who can understand his pain and see the best in him, but first, he has to do what he thinks is impossible: open his heart.
You Saw the Best In Me is an enemies-to-lovers romance that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in the magic of destiny. Karina and Maverick have a battle ahead of them, using pain as their power, but will they come out on the other side, or will the war claim them both?

Title: Strength and Resilience.
Review: I think that everyone has exâs in their life that they regret, but especially ones that were incredibly bad decisions and bad for them. Crawling your way out of a disastrous relationship is one of the hardest things that you can do, and I think that this is why this book spoke to me so much. At the time that Taylor was writing this book, I was discovering and recovering from all the trauma that I went through in my marriage and all the things that my ex-husband put me through. I think that might be the reason why that I related so much to Karina. Not only is she not a damsel in distress, but she makes sure that she is the one to save herself. Maverick is a man who spends most of his life trying to please other people, and with that, comes the mentality that he is meant to be content only in his life. Once they meet, and the pranks start, the love that grows between these two characters is incredible. The triggers in this book should not be ignored, but no one should miss this story. Iâm constantly impressed with Taylor, and this does not disappoint at all.
