Does the indoor bug zapper need to be plugged in or rechargeable?

The indoor bug zapper needs to be plugged in with its US 2-pin plug. The input voltage is 110V/60Hz AC.

What pests can the bug zapper kill?

The bug zapper will zap any flying insect that is attracted to UV light such as flies, fruit flies, mosquitoes, wasps, gnats, moths, etc.

How can I tell if the black bulb is working since it's invisible?

Black UV light spectrum is largely invisible to the human eye, only partially visible in completely dark environment. You can check if it's working by using the UV test card included in the box.

Is the fly killer much quieter?

We've compared the zapping noise to the others and it's 50% quieter than the traditional ones. It's more child and pet friendly and better for your sleep.

How long will the bulbs last?

The bulbs usually last at least 6 months depending on usage. We recommend chang the bulb every 6 months for maximum performance. 2 extra replacement bulbs is included in the mosquito zapper box.

Can the fly trap be used outside?

The fly trap is for indoors like bedroom, kitchen ect. If you need to use it outdoors like garden, balcony or patio, please make sure it doesn't get wet.

Title: It’s perfect.
Review: This is probably my favorite thing in my whole house now. I absolutely hate bugs, and hearing this thing kill them on the spot is very satisfying, it is amazing, and it has killed every flying insect that touches it. It is also very easy to clean and take care of, Definitely worth the price in every way possible, it killed flying insects that were in my house that i didn’t even know were there. It’s efficient, effective, and tough. It is very bright however, so if that is an issue then I simply suggesting putting it in an area where the light can’t be seen during your daily routine. Though personally I don’t mind it so I just have it out in the open.

Title: This works, right out of the BOX!
Review: I had rounds of medical testing done yesterday so I was really tired. This was waiting by the door, after taking some medications, I opened the box, read the owner's manual, and set it up, turned it on, and sat back. Both lights were working and so I was hoping to hear some noise of the flies, but I didn't. I was a bit sad, but I hadn't been able to put it in what I thought might be the best place, but I have three cats so I didn't want it to be someplace that they might investigate it. I put it on the top of a cabinet.Later, I heard a tiny popping sound, very quiet. I realized it might be a bug in the light. I smiled and decided to take it as a win and maybe reposition the light later.This morning, I slid out the pan to clean it, but there was a single fly in there. I was confused since I had heard multiple pops during the night, very quiet, but I was having problems sleeping after the testing yesterday. I think it might just get rid of them with that single quiet pop.Like I said, I've only had it since yesterday evening, but I'm going to recommend it anyway.UPDATE:Since I hadn't had it long, and I have had it on constantly since I got it, I would like to share my experiences. This works well!! I moved it to a few different locations in the house and the kitties all ignore it, so I put it on my hutch, which is closer to the ground.Sometimes I am so amazed that it took me so long after trying years of fly paper etc.Try it, you'll like it!

Title: Gnat colony no more!
Review: The entire gnat colony is eradicated. this zapper is amazing, in just a few hours annihilated.I had my pantry filled with gnats because of a hidden bag of potatoes gone bad.Highly recommend this product.

Title: fairly good zapper.
Review: So I like the zapper. Seems to be doing the job. The sound when it zaps something does startle you a bit at first. I had a small issue with fruit flies and nothing I did seemed to help so I am crossing my fingers this does the trick. Reason this did not get all 5 stars is one of the bulbs did not work after unboxing and I had to use one of the replacement bulbs. So now I am short a replacement bulb for future needs.What I like about it is the flies do seem to be attracted to the light. Cleaning out the tray where the flies fall once zapped is easy to get to. It doesn’t make a sound unless it is actively zapping something. The size is a good size. Not too small and not too big. I would recommend this except just be prepared to possible have to use your replacement bulbs right away.

Title: Life saver.
Review: My home is now blessed with 6 of these things. They attract the majority of critters that have found a way into my home. As a result, the popping sound of a flying insect being liquidated will take over your home. This particular unit is good for a general shared room environment. I will look for a smaller unit to place closer to my bed for when I'm asleep and the mosquitoes have breached my defenses.

Title: Poor quality and terrible design - Nearly impossible to change bulbs that frequently go out
Review: Come on Amazon - I am getting so tired of this trash. The bug zapper I bought less than a year ago died and early death, so I try again with a model priced higher.Arrived in less than one day. Fine, but I don't care.Reasonably priced - I would gladly pay 3x the price if a quality product was available.For this zapper, I have no idea if it works. The quality coming out of the box was not impressive. The bulbs would not turn on right out of the box. Fine, I see they said bulbs can shift during shipping. So I look at the instructions and attempt to follow them. Now I have a whole garage full of tools, but I had to hunt and hunt for a tiny screwdriver of unknown head description that would fit the tiny screw tunnels. Finally found and impossibly skinny, odd and long screwdriver and somehow got the screws out. Adjusted the bulbs - still won't light. So I wait a while to make sure the capacitors empty and try again with the included spare bulbs. No luck. It's DOA.It really doesn't matter because it was probably going to be returned anyway. Obviously the zapper needs new bulbs from time to time - they even include extras. So why are the screws impossibly small? Worse, if you can get the back unscrewed and the bulbs changed, I really don't know if I would ever get the screws back in. I tried for 20 minutes just to see if I was going to return or request a replacement. Why such a terrible design for something that must happen to keep the device functional?Like too much Amazon equipment, even if this had worked out of the box, this zapper looks like it would have died within a year.(I am sure the difficulty opening the back is to protect children from easily opening the back. I not and engineer but I can think of a dozen ways to keep hands out of the 'zap' area and still allow the bulbs to be changed with reasonable ease. This product completely fails.)
