In The Best Intentions, Dr. Chuck Kelley offers to Southern Baptists a 10-year assessment of the Great Commis-sion Resurgence (GCR), a landmark event in recent SBC history. The book identifies the GCR as one of the most transforming proposals ever approved by the SBC, for better or for worse. The reader can evaluate whether or not Kelley's assessment is true to his research or even necessary, and whether or not his conclusions and red flag warnings merit attention.

Title: A Great Assessment
Review: Dr Kelley is one who loves and has served Southern Baptists for half a century. His heart for the SBC and evangelism shines through with this historic assessment. The facts are laid out, his desire is clear, and the truth may sting, but this deserves to be read, studied, and acted upon. This could well be the clarion call that becomes the catalyst in saving the SBC. Thanks to Bro. Chuck for his time, energy, thoroughness, and passion.

Title: The best intentions
Review: Wow! The truth has been told, Southern Baptist Convention is in trouble. Thanks for telling the truth and shedding light on a situation of lost direction and alienation of NAMB against the ones they are supposed to support. Sacrificing evangelism for new churches has been a disaster but NAMB keeps pressing forward with a doomed plan.

Title: For Every SBC Church Member
Review: If you are a member a SBC affiliated church, you need to read "The Great Commission Resurgence: Fulfilling Godâs Mandate in Our Time." Dr. Kelley presents a compelling case for why the SBC needs to have an honest conversation about the state of the North American Mission Board and the effectiveness of its strategies. The book provides a thorough assessment of the failed strategies of the Great Commission Resurgence, a decade-long effort to revitalize the SBC's commitment to evangelism and church planting. Kelley describes three main components and provides clear documentation of the outcomes after a decade of implementation. Unfortunately, the data shows that the plan did not work as promised, and the decline across all areas of SBC life has been unprecedented. However, the report concludes with lessons learned and suggestions for where the SBC goes from here. The book makes a clear and urgent call for the Convention to begin talking about adjustments and changes to its strategic approach to the Great Commission. If you want to be part of that conversation and help shape the future of the SBC, then you need to read this book.
