The LG V50 ThinQ is the company's first 5G smartphone – and one of the very few phones supporting 5G cellular connectivity. Like many other 2019 Android flagships, it is powered by the Snapdragon 855 chip. It also offers a large, 6.4-inch OLED display and a triple camera system at the back. A key selling point for the LG V50 is the support for an optional accessory – resembling a folio case, it snaps to the V50 and adds a second, 6.2-inch screen for more efficient side-by-side multitasking.

Title: Awesome deal, works great on MetroPCS
Review: LTE works great on MetroPCS. Just be aware that VoLTE does not work unless on Sprint. Had some issues with calls not working but resetting the phone's network settings fixed it. If you're having issues with MMS or calls not working try this code in the phone dialer app: ##72786#. If you need to edit APN settings you'll have to enter this code: ##DATA# (##3282#), but beware you'll need a service code which the seller can issue to you. If you are not comfortable with that side of the phone's settings don't touch anything and take it to your service provider's store and ask them to change it for you; again, you'll need that service code. Finally, This is a solid phone. Solid battery life, great sharp screen quality, takes good pictures. Features that a $700+ cellphone offers all for $430.

Title: If you are an audiophile, this is the phone with a headphone jack and "Quad DAC" for you
Review: This is a larger phone, with a nice screen, good battery life and good cameras (four of them). The screen has a "notch" in the top like the newer iPhone, so watching a full screen video will be cut off by the notch. Internal speakers are OK, phone calls are nice and loud. Screen is curved on edges, so a glass screen protector will not wrap around, and the versions that do wrap around only adhere on the edges. I bought these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S3SP8PL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, and the fit the screen perfectly, no bubbles, but they are not glass just plastic scratch protection, and can get little dents from fingernails, which can be brushed out. Get a drop proof case for this. With the case the phone is a little heavy. Hardware is fast and not much bloatware was included. It comes in a version with a case that has a second screen, which is a different model than this one. This is an unlocked Sprint phone, and using it with T-Mobile the phone kept trying to install Sprint software. A call to T-Mobile fixed that, the activated it for their service and the Sprint software stopped installing. As for the sound quality, even using high end Grado phones this phone delivers great sound, balanced, powerful and accurate. It has a software equalizer and DTX:3 3D sound for the speakers. This phone is best from the headphone jack, plugged in the "Hi-Fi Quad DAC" activates. It has digital sound presets (mine is set to "Normal"), Digital Filters (mine is set to "Slow" as it seems most accurate), and left and right channel balance dials, so you can tune in the best sound for your headphones. I have a number of high end headphones amps and this phone gets close to the sound quality of an external portable amp, just missing the "speaker effect" the best amps can achieve. Plus it has plenty of power to drive less sensitive larger headphones. Paired with the Poweramp app this phone is hard to beat for sound quality for music through the headphone jack.

Title: Useless & Junk phone Returned!!
Review: Most Frustrating & Disappointed!NOT HAPPY with this useless & junk phone!!! So many disappointments with this phone even after I returned it!! I am also not happy with the restocking fee for an overpriced phone that didn't fully function @100%!!!Cons:This phone v50 does not fully work with Cricket!!In less than 1 month, v50 was giving me problems not being able to send any group text messages or my long text messages. Also COULDN'T SEND any video text messages as well!! ð¡ð¡ð¡ This v50 phone just REFUSES TO WORK PROPERLY in sending my text messages!!The only function that worked on this phone was to receive calls & text messages but STILL, I CAN'T send any text messages!! Useless!! The text message error marks in red as: "UNABLE TO SEND. TAP TO RETRY AGAIN"It was the MOST frustrating 1 month with this stupid LG v50!! ð¡ð¡ð¡Lg g8 worked 100% more than the v50.The cost for this LG v50 was $322 + taxes back in December 2020 & now I see that this junk phone is currently reduced down to $294.00.I hate returning things back, especially electronics. Wasted all my time having to box up & return back!! Amazon electronics should work as it's supposed to!!

Review: I am a long term LG phone user. I see so much hate and bias for LG devices in the internet. I have never figured out why. I have always like LG phones and enjoyed using them.I bought the device from the seller " Wireless Experts Inc.". The device came on time as promised, was brand new in a sealed original box with all accessories. It is indeed a device made for sprint network but came unlocked which is absolutely fine. I had no problems using my FIDO sim card with the device for calls and data. However the settings need to be tweaked to use MMS, for which you would need a service code. The product page in Amazon has details about how to make changes to the settings. The service code has to come from the seller. Thankfully, I had no problems there. Wireless Experts Inc. was extremely helpful in sourcing me the required service code. With it and the instructions in the product page, I was able to edit the MMS settings to suit FIDO. Wifi- Calling won't work (I don't care). VOLTE, I am not so sure. But, I don't care about it either. The phone is a flagship device, fresh out of factory box with all bells and whistles, for a price that is non-flagship. If you search carefully and take substantial risk, you can buy this device for even cheaper elsewhere. But, I am perfectly happy with what I got, the price I paid and the trouble-free transaction. Highly recommend this device and the seller.Like all LG devices, this one is sturdily built and looks classy. It has a great display of 6.4' inches and comes with Android 10. On powering up, I also received a minor update. So, I am guessing that I will have no trouble getting future updates, if any. But, I highly doubt that this device will have any more updates. I am fine with it. Android 10 is good enough for me. If you need the latest and greatest software, you should be looking at iPhone or Pixel phone. The battery holds up really well. The user experience is pleasant and snappy. Camera is very good, especially if you no how to use it properly. It is a decent point and shoot camera but a stellar manual mode camera. Sound out of the headphone jack is phenomenal like all LG phones that has the dedicated DAC. One of the main reasons I buy LG devices is for their high sound output quality through the headphone jack. Understandably, you need to pair it with a good pair of earphones/headphones.Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed if you take the initial effort to set up the device properly. If you don't care much about MMS, then you are good to go as it is. You wouldn't need the service code. And this review is for the device sourced from the seller "Wireless Experts Inc.".

Review: *** Do not purchase ***Description states this listing is for a Korean version LG V50 LM-V500N. It is not. The phone delivered was an American model Sprint mobile LM-V450PM.The phone appears to be heavily customised for Sprint which creates numerous issues as follows:- It requires activation on the Sprint network in the US. Without this activation it spends 5 minutes trying to activate every time it is restarted and then fails.- It is locked to the Sprint network by default. You may be able to get calls to work out of the box, but MMS won't work.- Sprint has merged with another carrier and appears to have changed bands and forced people to dump these phones. As a result they won't be getting OS updates and patches with the same frequency as the other variants of the V50, if any at all. The last software release already appears to be 6 months behind the Korean version and is over 12 months old.- VoLTE and Wifi calling is locked out in the Android image.- The phone isn't detected by the LG utility applications such as LG Bridge.Removing the activation process at boot, unlocking the phone and getting calls and MMS working on Vodafone in Australia seems to be possible by hooking it up to a laptop, installing Android developer tools and issuing command line instructions, but has taken a fair number of hours stuffing around and I'm not sure whether there are other nasties that I haven't found yet lurking under the surface. The seller appears to be engaging in deceptive conduct and I'm not happy with my purchase. I'm weighing up whether to return the phone vs the money I've spent on accessories for it. I should have read the other reviews below before purchasing but took the details in the listing at the seller's word.

Review: Honestly, I've always only had the chance to afford cheap refurbished phones so when I took the leap to buy this pricier phone, I was very satisfied. The phone has a nice sleek build and has a wonderful display screen with excellent audio for listening to music and movies ! It came new in the box with nice goodies like a fast charger, a small napkin for cleaning the screen and nice instructions to get started. This is a happy Canadian customer who was looking for an unlocked phone (compatible with Rogers: Chatr).âºð
