The subject of converting your IRA savings into Roth IRAs seems to be very controversial - and it shouldn't be. The established paradigms about when to convert and how much to convert are almost as useless as the popular opinions about which tax bracket one should convert into. And these false beliefs lead to several mistakes when doing Roth conversions.
After nearly four decades as a financial advisor, and more than thirteen years of specializing in Roth conversions, the author wants to reveal the biggest mistakes that are made and offer specific education to help the reader determine if they would benefit from conversions. The book is as much a ‘how to’ guide as it is a collection of real life stories that illustrate the power of getting Roth conversions ‘right’.

Title: Good points lost in no detail
Review: The author has two good points: First, you will draw substantially more of out an IRA during your lifetime than your current balance, so pay the tax now even if it kicks you up a bracket or doubles your Medicare premium. The second point is to track your net worth in your calculations, not just the tax savings. But he wraps that in a 100-page rant against financial advisors and people who do their own âspreadsheetsâ but according to him donât know what they are doing. All this for $19.95 when a 6x9 book of this length, self-published on Amazon, should be $9.99 at the most. And not a lot of time spent on editing or internal graphics. It would have been better to get more detail on how to do the estimates and how to incorporate major benefits for charitable giving, if you are so inclined.

Title: The Millionaire Next Door Strategy simplified
Review: Craig Wear makes the case for Roth Conversion from a traditional IRA very simple to understand and easy to execute. It makes so much sense. He's a straight shooter and this logically laid out short book is easy to follow why this is the best long-term move you can make--for yourself and your family.Perry Norris

Title: Too Basic
Review: I agree with all the other 1 start ratings. I had questions about Roth Conversion and was left with my questions unanswered. Without giving any concrete strategies, he basically insults your intelligence and egotistically says you can't do it yourself and only his firm has the intelligence to help you. Do not buy this book!
