Makes A Great Gift
Birthdays, holidays, Mother's/Father's Day and more, The Complete Irish Pub Cookbook makes a great gift for any occasion.
Appetizers
Nothing goes to waste in the Irish kitchen, including buttermilk - the thin liquid left over after churning butter. It has a pleasing, tangy flavor and is a main ingredient in Irish baking. Similar to drop biscuits in thickness, buttermilk pancakes have a slightly crisp, golden crust and a fluffy center.
Eighteen other delicious soups, chowders, toasts, and other snacks are featured as well!
Entrees
Like many traditional Irish lamb dishes, this is nourishing and delicious and made with an economical cut. The meat is slow-roasted at low heat until almost falling off the bone. Light and fluffy herb-flavored dumplings mop up the flavorsome juices.
One of nearly twenty exciting traditional entrees included!
Vegetables & Sides
Soda bread has long been a staple in Ireland. It is a bread made without yeast, because baking soda mixed with buttermilk is used as a leavening agent. A cross is cut into the top of the bread to help it rise and, according to Irish folklore, to either ward off evil or let the fairies out.
It is one of nineteen vegetables and sides recipes that will surely not disappoint.
Desserts & Drinks
Hot, whiskey-spiked orange juice is topped with Ireland's favorite ingredients: thick cream and crunchy toasted oats. Serve it as a special nightcap on a chilly winter evening.
The Hot Toddy is one of thirteen featured cakes, pudding, ice creams, and drinks that will offer a perfect end to your meal.

Title: Good Irish recipes
Review: It is a very simple book with simple and easy recipes, not complicated. One page for the ingredients and photo, the other page 3 of 4 steps and done. Nice paper and gorgeous pictures. Good hardcover and receive it on time. In my opinion there are several recipes which some ingredients are difficult to find, at least for me with cero possibilities to get them. But there are some others recipes I can easily prepare and I like them. Finally it is a good and simple book that for people curious in Irish cooking or those who simple love the Irish meals I believe this is a book to buy. Only one thing disappointed me: I was expected to find the classic fish and chips that I love just don't know how to prepare the dough for the fish but this recipe was missing! Perhaps some other book have it. It is a book your the time we are living, practical and easy.

Title: Great Irish Cook Book! Better than expected!
Review: For $8 this cook book was WAY more than I expected. It's a beautiful hard covered very sturdy cook book with beautiful pictures and great looking recipes. I ordered a more expensive Brie cook book recently and that was flimsy soft covered and everything was black and white on paper, but this is a beautiful high quality hard covered cook book with glossy pages that I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for some Irish pub inspiration or recipes. This is GREAT value for the cost compared to similar products out there

Title: Itâs a practical usable cookbook
Review: The ingredients are not exotic with a few exceptions. Mostly shellfish from northern waters ( cockles) . I live in the mid south. So some fresh seafoods are hard to come by. Everything else I can get from my local markets. Beef, chicken, lamb, pork, leeks, carrots onions, etc. I made Irish soda bread tonight , a very simple recipe and it came out beautifully. Many potato recipes, yum.

Review: Very happy with this book, quite complete. I didnât feel the recipes were too complex and I think finding the products required would not be too difficult (except i always had hard time to find buttermilk in every country i have been)
