Title: So far so good
Review: I love Rowenta and prior to this new purchase, i owned the same Rowenta iron for 10-12 years before it just stopped working suddenly a few weeks ago. So after much research on irons I selected this Rowenta and am very happy with it so far. I've only used it a few times but it did a great job on my initial usage. The reviews helped a great deal and I will say that the reviewers who complained how difficult it was to gauge water levels were absolutely right. I was concerned about that, but it seems most irons have this problem unfortunately. Seems like such an obvious thing for Rowenta and other brands to realize and design accordingly. It was very easy to see with my last Rowenta iron but all other aspects of the iron are great so you learn to just deal with how to fill the tank. I liked the ease of filling the tank on my old iron much better too. this one, you have to lay the iron flat and pour water into opening which is most awkward to do without spilling. Again, it's not enough of a reason to not buy the iron, but it is a negative. when you turn the iron on, there is an orange light and when it's reached the proper heat, the light goes off and you're ready to iron. Steaming was great...so far it did not drip water or do anything of concern but it does sort of sputter steam after ironing and placing iron upright. it's not an issue, but something to be aware of. I haven't used it on anything vertical yet, but plan to use it on a dressing table skirt and drapes and hoping it works as they say. I'll update this review when I do. I was worried about the heaviness of these irons. I bought another Rowenta model and had to return it as it was huge and way too heavy for me. This iron is a bit heavier than my old one but not too heavy and ironing was very easy and pleasant.

Title: Danger! Fire hazard!
Review: The was my third Rowenta. The first two I owned were the DW2191 model and it was horrible. They were top heavy and had rest that was too small, so they would fall over. They leaked a lot of water. The cord real was junk. Both irons ended up breaking from falling over. In this model they seem to have corrected those issues, and it worked fine. For once I was happy with my purchase...being that they were all fairly expensive. But then, without warning, mine literally burst into FLAMES, and pored molten aluminum out, onto the ironing board, and floor. This was not "user error" or me doing something stupid. I plugged the iron in to warm up, and within 2 minutes, it was in flames, and filled my house with toxic smoke from the plastic. I bought this in March, 2020, and it almost caught my house on fire in September 2021. After putting out the fire, and inspecting the iron, you can see that it gto so hot internally, that the internal aluminum base plate reached melting point, spilled out and ignited the plastic. The puddle of molten aluminum spilled onto the ironing board. Thankfully it's flame retardant fabric and foam, but it still burns and releases toxic fumes. I grabbed the iron and ran it outside to put out the flames. It dripped molten aluminum on the floor along the way. I am really wondering how there is not a safety mechanism to prevent a complete meltdown of the iron. Please be careful, I would not trust this iron. (or for me any iron now).

Review: Tuve la oportunidad de comprarla en el pasado prime day y por ahora ha cumplido su función de manera correcta, el planchado y los golpes de vapor son justo lo que esperaba, lo que más me gustó es el cable retráctil ayuda mucho al momento de guardarla ya que es mucho más fácil su almacenamiento sin el molesto cable enrollado, lo único que aún me tiene angustiada es que es una marca alemana y en la etiqueta menciona que su fabricación y diseño son de China, no se si realmente exista alguna copia de la marca pero en definitiva me ha ayudado a cubrir mis necesidades de planchado en casa.
